I'm guessing this SCP is based on the urban legend about scientists digging the world's deepest borehole in Siberia, sticking a microphone down it, and picking up sounds of flames and screaming.
Thing is it’s not false, albeit the hell part maybe. The screaming is believed to just be molten air vents spitting steam deep underground, at least that’s what I read.
@@griffgoldsteinreference Assuming you're talking about the Kola Superdeep Bore Hole, the original basis for the urban legend, that would make sense. Dig down through 12 km of Earth's crust and you're bound to release some sort of pressure. I'm picturing the whistling of a kettle, but through rock.

Struggling from dyslexia... I remember the days where I would somehow get by without reading basically anything that didn't engage me because for so long it took a lot of effort.
My own experience is that it can be overcome, but I also know that the severity can differ not just in how good we are at reading but also how much we can improve or how much time amd effort that costs us.
Never be ashamed of it though. Just do what works best for you.

I actually burst out laughing when the cat Demon's head exploded, like they're doing the generic "humans are insignificant" speel and then they just get their shit handed to them on a silver platter.
I was not expecting it to eat it but when it did I audibly gasped in joy.
Honestly I expect the cat to be immune to it. We get so many creatures that are so completely above human weaponry that the best man-made weapons can only hinder its progress or make it angrier. It’s absolutely hilarious that this giant guardian cat ate a grenade and had its brains blown out because of it.
I loved it a lot. It's good to remember from time to time how fucking scary humans can be with our weapon technology. Most of monster SCPs are immune to weapons because otherwise they wouldn't be scary in the first place, so it's good to see human kicking ass in some articles.

What I love about the scp universe (among other things) is that standard frag grenades can kill literal hellish entities even after a cliche "your human weapons do nothing" type moment. Then the significance of the entity is brushed aside because why wouldn't it? This is a world filled with terrifying things, killing feline Hellspawn is just Tuesday.

The Foundation literally did a hostile takeover of Hell, then hung an "Under New Management" sign at the entrance.
My favorite part is how clearly this illustrates the parallels between what the foundation already does and what happens in hell, and how well that parallel facilitated them sliding into ownership and continued both their own operation and those of Hell with only their titles having to change to accomplish the transistion.
This one just made my top three favorites, easily.

I never thought I'd live to hear and see such words: Director of Hell. What a title. This SCP really makes me consider the true capabilities of the foundation, considering that their then-foes-now subjugated-allies come in all shapes and sizes, including up to 50 Meters. What a feat to conquer Hell.
So many stories where the Foundation fails to do anything, it's nice to see what they're capable of for once

Its great seeing Slavic folklore be used as an inspiration for anything that makes the West aware of it, even with some things being lost in translation as it was with wendigo for example, but I cannot overlook the "caverns of the domovoy" when even a part of its name "dom" translates as "house". He's a house spirit whom you have to please with milk saucers and cand so that he protects your home, not some goblin cavern lord. Great vid tho

If you remember, this hell is some amalgamation of beliefs of a specific sect of a church, so maybe they just believed domovoys were also demons, like all folklore creatures tend to be designated under Christianity (either demons, saints or angels, mostly demons).

I was only joking but i can sympathize. I too would probably rather something like this rather then my life as it is now. Im one of the few ppl who would rather live in the scp world, no matter the horrors. I just know ill regret it though as theres some reeaalllyy bad things much worse then death that can happen to you in the scp universe. The True solitary confinement scp and the one where your body slowly dies but your consciousness doesnt so you feel your body slowly decaying, all come to mind.

The foundation lost almost nothing and gained everything in this. Allowed to study control and gain D-Class from this “hell” as well as one of them gets the honorific of “Director of Hell.” Nice.
I kinda morbidly enjoy these articles that end with "and so the Foundation found an new source of D-Class to torture"
Going from tortured hellspawn to D-Class is kind of a promotion, like going from being stabbed with two swords to only being stabbed with one, so win/win.

I love SCPs where the foundation just stomps out the anomaly. Damn I wish we had more stuff involving MTF Nu-7 “Hammerdown”. I’ve only ever heard of them in passing, like the tree of life article TES covered recently where they lost the facility to US special forces then later took it back. Maybe they actually do expand on it more in the actual text article, I just listen to fall asleep so

I've heard plenty of military types say stuff along the lines 'when you get to hell, start the assault' and stuff like that. This SCP reminds me of that attitude. They found a version of hell, conquered it, and made it their own. I wonder if this is inspired by that sort of thing.

I absolutely love the demon thing swallowing a grenade thinking its an offering.
Weird that the river smells oddly of vanilla. If you read The Hellbound Heart, the book Hellraiser was based on, it says the Cenobites are dusted down with ash that smells of vanilla (why they have pale white skin), which does little to cover the actual rot underneath.

Hours pass and I awake immediately reaching for the back of my neck due to severe discomfort. As I gain more and more aware of my surroundings I notice that I'm still on the toilet.

I go to check my phone to see the time and instantly furious and embarrassed after noticing I had been asleep on the toilet for over 6 hours.

I reach for the paper on the roll and proceeded to give it a good spit since I'm sure my butt hole is long since dry.
I toss the used paper under me into the toilet and am startled by a muffed

Days turned to weeks as weeks turned to months until 3 and a half years had passed since Tom and I first met and we have grown quite close. See Tom and I had a common goal that we each needed each other to accomplish. While searching for someone I had gotten a new job and Tom had met a fresh Ripe Tomata that he had fallen in love with. She knew of Tom's mission and feared for his safe return every night that we went out searching for this individual.
Until finally exactly 5 years 9 months and 23 days the moment of truth had came. Though I had still felt wronged by what had happened to me nearly 6 years prior I had grown to love Tom has not just food but as a brother and knew that he would not survive our mission.
"There he is Tom.."
"Yeah that's the son of a bi🐩h, get in a little closer." Tom said.
"You sure you wanna go through with this? You have a life now, a ripe tomato waiting at home for you. Seriously Tom Tomata is with seed. Your gonna be a father. Reconsider my friend.." I pleaded
"You know you were always really good to me buddy. I couldn't have asked to become anomalous inside of anyone else's digestive track..but it's to late to turn back now. I've made up my sepal."
"Tom..co-"
"TAKE ME IN CLOSER FRIEND!"
I began to sprint toward the target with tears falling to the wind.
"BRIAN! BRIAN JENSEN!"
Just then the target turned around giving us the opening we needed. I wond up and threw a rocket of a toss.
🍅"TELL TOMATA AND JUNIOR I LOVE THEM MY FRIEEEENNDD!"🍅
it hits Brian in the face knocking him out cold on impact.
"Boo you ya son of a bi🐩h!"
*Wheeze* *wheeze*
"What the hell? Tom?! Is that you buddy?!"
*wheeze*
Locates Tom.
"Tom Tom buddy you're okay I'm here now let's get you to a doctor...you're going to be alright." I cried.
"did you see me...did you see me fly? "
"Buddy I've never seen anything soar like you did now let's get you home."
"Stop, we knew only one of us was going to survive this mission.." Tom struggled to say.
"...😭..."
"Chris?"
"😭🤧 Yeah Tom?"
"...knock......knock" Tom said.
"🥺Whose there?"
*silence*
"😰 whose there buddy.."
"😢 TOM!?"
And so ends the tale of our protagonist and a little tomato with a massive grudge. They succeeded in avenging the wrongs that were done by the evil humorless Brian.
It's comforting to know that shiny baubles will not buy you your life but least buy you time
I like that the SCP foundation is the monster in this one.

Part of this entry gives an origin and explanation for the D-Class in this case being that they are a regenerative, durable, and possibly self reincarnating population of tormented humans from a hell like dimension that was conquered.
Another one shows the D-Class and their usage being an anomaly in of themselves in which they are entities that mimic an existing inmate along with having a memetic mental effect on most of the members of the foundation as well as being able to remanifest in their holding cells after dying and only a handful of personnel are not affected by it.
Another one states that the D-Class come from a parallel world earth taken over by incorporeal entities which altered their minds and foundation in agreement with dealing with these entities agreed to take them into their world.

I've read this before and wondered if you would do this scp, I'm happy that you did.
This one was kind of lame. Nothing really happened. The found a portal to a Russian hell knock off, found some hard to kill Russian clones, and killed some demons before making peace and going about their usual business. Nothing truly creepy or mysterious happened so it felt kind of dull, like this was just another day for the foundation.
I agree with you but I think that was kinda the point.
Yeah I think that was the point with this one. The hell in question was just created by the faith of the local church, so it wasn't super overpowered. I think this article did a good job of describing a straight-forward situation that the Foundation had little issue understanding and controlling the events. Everyone did their jobs right, and they were able to come to a successful conclusion. In my opinion, there should be tons of situations like this. The Foundation has been doing this for so long, it really should just be Tuesday for them.
There is comedy to the thought that, for as many SCPs that are uncontainable or incomprehensibly dangerous, a literal portal to hell isn't much of an issue.
For some reason the idea of a demon swallowing a grenade to mock someone, thinking it's harmless, seems so damn funny to me
The writing on this article was kind of meh. Your video was great, but the original writer made the hand of the author extremely visible. The MTF team, who are supposed to be extremely skilled and experienced people, do something that even Scooby Doo knew was a bad idea, immediately splitting up. Command is both oblivious, and omnipotent, depending on what the plot needs. The two MTFs then act like children, bickering and not communicating despite the fact they are literally a part of an international organization.
Plot does have to happen, but part of being a writer is figuring out how to make the characters come to life. The characters should drive the plot, not the other way around. Instead, the characters came off as both incredibly stupid, and unrealistically knowledgeable, entirely depending on the plot.
What can I say its hell.
