2:26 'ey I see my lil Samus animation amongst these other great ones. Thanks for the awesome model to play around with, guys! I had been learning Blender with the specific goal of 'animating Samus being cool', so I appreciate this a lot :)
Excellent work. The organic shapes are part of the fusion suit that is being integrated into the power suit, I think. Nothing to do with the X-parasite
That's a damn good model you guys put together. It always amazes me the kind of things people can make or recreate in 3D. Far beyond anything I'm able to do, that's for damn sure. I will say (despite multiple people already having said the same thing) that the muscle fibers in Samus's Power Suit aren't X-Parasite in any way; they're simply parts of the suit we've never seen prior to Metroid Fusion. In that game Samus was infected by X-Parasites and almost died. In order to save her life her infected Varia Suit had to be surgically removed (of course exposing the artificial tissue you see in the Metroid Dread version of the suit while at first creating the Fusion Suit), before receiving a vaccine made from the DNA of a Metroid, the species engineered by the Chozo to be the X's only natural predator, which not only purged the remaining X inside her but also gave her the ability to gain strength from them. That's the only X-Parasite related thing about Samus.
you guys went above and beyond for this little project. also...X-parasite? i thought those parts were the Metroid DNA, i never considered it to be X since Samus just kinds of absorbs them into her DNA if they touch her. not to deny that it could be, i just personally dont see it that way. it doesnt really matter either way, it still looks cool.
I think it's just the areas of her suit that were exposed when they removed the armour plates. Sort of a reimagining of what the fusion suit looked like - metal meets organic.
@@DannyStuart yeah, in canon thats just what it is. Its her bio-mechanical armor "healing", so those are basically artificial muscle tendons. Doesn't have much to do with x parasite or het metroid dna
@@shadeymcbones6707 yeah he goofed, that's not x parasite its more like Chozo varia suit healing itself, now with metroid dna healing it to. No X's here.
I've really enjoyed working with this model to practice animation. Haven't gotten very far, but just getting used to using blender with it has been awesome. Hopefully one day, I'll get an animation out with it. You guys did an amazing job with this model. ^^
Gonna share this with my classmates in my major. We’re mainly taught in Maya but there’s some folks there who use blender. Maybe Maya won’t complain too much if they import it in but It’ll be cool if any of them use it for the class. It’s so cool watching these videos with knowledge of the 3D workflow. Awesome work, all of you! Keep it up! Also nice job using the old substance painter logo. I miss it :(
I'm trying to make Metroid Dread's power suit, too. I'd like to say that you inspired me even more, but i can't. Your model is simply perfect, I love what you made.
Dunno why ya referring to the blue muscular parts as X-Parasites, she's not part X, those are just natural parts of her Power Suit that we normally didn't see until after the surgical removal of her Varia armour back in Fusion, just call them artificial muscle. Besides that little thing though, excellent job
The model is fantastic but there's a scaling issue. Samus is 6m tall in this model, and of you try to scale it down the shoulder pads get messed up and distorted
This is awesome. One of the things I do is make mods for 7 days to die. What do you think about a suit of power armour with this model as a mod. The players would have to go into some kind of place to find all the parts and they would give the players the abilities of Samus. Yes no . As a modder I can't make money of my mods so I generally go for fun or interesting mods
Okay this is seriously amazing but you guys thought the blue was X parasites? Didn't Samus say the stuff underneath her armor was the more organic components of her suit in the intro to Fusion? This doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, I am just curious. Also, is the high resolution model available for download or purchase anywhere?
yall are seriously so underrated, your work is incredible
Underrated?

thank you for everything and for the opportunity to understand the "Blender" program is worth a lot to me🥰💯 I loved it.😋👍

Been waiting to see the process for that Metroid dread model :D especially since it was done even before the game came out.
Always great to hear your process and mindset, very interesting!

i almost screamed when i saw my animation at 2:39 hahahaha
it's so fun to animate your rig!! keep up your great work guys :)
Man, I love that logo sequence so much.

Amazing work you all!
I really love these analysis videos you guys do, I'm here for more of it!
This channel is doing unbelievable work! Thank you!!!
Love seeing new uploads from you guys.
God I miss modeling so much, you guys did a great job! I mean that from I know how much work this was to do. 👌

this is so incredible that they could make this off a handful of clips and screenshots

Really amazing model
😍
amazing job. i don't even know how to use blender but this video was so entertaining
We need to see the Varia and Gravity Suits made this way!
Whoa, that was so sick!
That's not the x parasite on her armour. Her suit is technorganic and the metroid dna brought out more of the organic part
Youre a mad man
finally! you guys mentioned this like forever ago! lol.
Please make a video of Samus doing the Mother 3 Wess Dance.
using the magic of plugins, i am happy to inform you that the video curently has ZERO dislikes!
i want to see a render of the dread fusion suit now...😅
Cool
Create a gravity suit and the e.m.m.i
Wish there was a recreation of the classic varia suit from the intro of dread
You lot are brilliant
nice
Kinda was hoping to see a direct comparison to the in game model. But good video.
That's awesome
Nice.
The model is fantastic but there's a scaling issue. Samus is 6m tall in this model, and of you try to scale it down the shoulder pads get messed up and distorted
I love this
i wonder if i can 3D print the hard parts of the armor from that model for cosplay purposes
Its weird that i havent seen much fan animations with this model
I would pay immediately for a tutorial covering the creation

3D printed this on day 1!
I guess the only real question next to ask is are there any plans to do the Varia and Gravity suit?
How does one learn to 3D model like this?
Are there any classes or courses?

If only Monty Oum was still alive...
😅
Hey guys, I'm interested in a Gravity Suit model. Can you guys make one? I'm so down to pay for it
You guys made a mistake the 3 dots on here back are suppose to be purple
Is the font free to use? If it is, can we get a link to it?
You keep referring to an x-parasite when talking about the suit's organic components. I'm pretty sure you're referring to the metroid DNA.
Heads up, your Patreon link in the description leads to a 404.
yeah it's weird because that totally looks like the correct link, idk why it doesn't work
the link to their twitter is also broken somehow
I'm not sure how or why that happens, but thanks for the heads up! Should be fixed now.
6:35 God what is that song from?
KlingKlong56 _ Is Norfair from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, originally Metroid
@@neonmajora8454 thank you very much!
@@klingklong56 you're welcome lol
: O
I kinda wish the chris guy would stop talking so much 🙄
Could you guys upload a .fbx or .dae version of the model?
