great vid, i would love to see exactly how you mounted the camera and the mic. I have 2 manfrotto arms clamped to my table and am worried about the weight
Hi there! Awesome review, thanks! I'm thinking about getting one but worried it's a wee bit too small - mostly I'll be standing 3 to 6 feet from camera and shooting long form content - think it's good at that distance or should I think about something bigger?
Thx for the info! Never considered this combo as an option. Great info. I'd love to see more b-roll of your Opal footage through the prompter, you dragging windows into the Elgato screen, etc.
Hi Matt, glad the algorithm popped this video up for me. I'd love to see a 'live demo' of the zoom set-up. I'm struggling a little with how to do the sharing/presenting piece while also holding eye contact with the audience.
Thank you for this amazing review. I had the same issue with the shaking. Especially because I do online prayers and bible study and sometimes (more times than not) I get really into it and the desk starts shaking and thus the camera..... I got the Elgato wall mount and the flex arm and I mounted it onto the window sill and its been working good.
Hi, thanks for sharing. I would kindly have a question to ask. I'm about to purchase the bundle on the Elgato website which includes the prompter and the low profile arm. I would like to know if there is space on the prompter to mount a Sony mirrorless camera without needing to use a different arm. Forgive any grammatical errors, I'm Italian.
Hi @Mucchio!!! Your mirrorless camera actually mounts directly on Prompter!! Check here to see if your camera will mount properly. www.elgato.com/ca/en/s/prompter-camera-check
Great video. I am literally at about the same stage of owning the prompter for about three days and my set up is very similar to yours, except I have found a much better solution that can cover not only the prompter and microphone separately, but also allow for a Way com 16 inch tablet which is a complete monitor in and of itselfthat I can edit photos right on. It is a beautiful set up but so is yours thank you so much and I’m a new subscriber. I may do a video on my set up with it as a first UA-cam video.
Very Cool @Scottabergermd. YES I am very interested in seeing your first video and new set up!!!! Exciting times!!! Thank you for the watch and subscribe! Be sure to post your video here in the comments when it is live!
The Promter works terrible with Zoom. You cannot overlay text on your image and many people report issues with Macs latest builds. Elgato serves the gamer community well but leaves content creating in the dust. More suited for Windows based OS.

Nice one mate! Love seeing the prompter on the mic arm! Thanks for creating this video!
Thank you Adam!!!! Keep your awesome work too on your channel!!!

Sounds great @grooveecard! I have a whole desk video series I plan to release very soon which of course includes the opal c1 review too.

Thank you for the watch Gavin! I will try and arrange that for you. It shouldn't be hard as I use it for Zoom, Googlemeets and Slack calls all day!
This video is very calming
Thank you Ambientes, I'm glad you liked it!

Nice set up!! With my standing desk it had to be a desk mount option.

Would it fit on a monitor arm?
As long as it has a quarter inch connection piece.

Q: How do you clean the prompter mirror?
It just a piece of glass so any glass cleaner and microfibre cloth will do.
