Hi Jeff, Good to see you back on YT again, i"m hoping for more John Wayne movies to get the full treatment either on blu ray or 4k, as Arrow video U.S done a fantastic release for "The Shootist" That German media book of "Cobra" looks a better one that i have with much more interviews, the much wanted extended edition would be great one day, you got "Aliens" & "The Abyss" but no "True Lies" you know its reasonably priced surely 🤣Jump on it ! That's a shame your previous job wasn't working out, but really glad your new one is working out really well, sometimes change is a necessity. I was in the hospital over the summer for surgery myself, which I'll tell you more about later. Carlos convinced me to give whatsapp a try, so let me know on the SWDb PM if its easier to to message you there. Carlos had similar thoughts to yours on Blazing Saddles when he showed it off in his recent update video, the film definitely hasn't aged too well over the years, but I've always had fun with it for what it is. Mel Brooks's style of comedy isn't for everyone, and he took quite a few chances which did work in his favor more often than not. I'm actually waiting for the Plaion 4K of Django at the moment, wanna see if there's any big difference between that and the Cult Films release. The Professionals is a fun little film for sure, and with a cast like Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Claudia Cardinale, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode, and Jack Palance, you can't go wrong. The DVD I used to have - had to sell it unfortunately - had an English subtitle translation choice for the dialogue in Spanish which was nice. I might have to check out Cobra one of these days, been hearing quite a lot of good things about it recently, and Sly Stallone is always a fun action star to watch. Similar thoughts to the China O'Brien films too, but that Eureka release keeps calling my name, so I'll very likely be picking that set up sooner than later. and I like Cynthia Rothrock a lot. One of the many Once Upon a Time in the West 4K releases is a must for me too, never upgraded it to Blu Ray, but I do want to see how well the film's cleaned up in a new restoration. Good luck with the new job! That’s a shame what Paramount did and( didn’t do ) for one of the Greatest movies of all time. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts about the Shootist.
@@mr.danandhorror4230 thanks Dan, yeah Paramount never treated this classic with the respect it deserves tbf. Transfer is okay but a shame it was put on a lower capacity disc. Although i didn’t notice much compression myself it is something that bothers other people. The shootist is fantastic, great and fitting swan-song for the duke. 😎👍
