Cheers Carlos, yeah those Rambo editions are definitely nice to have and the vhs set makes for a nice display piece on the shelf next to my Rambo figure. No matter how many times I rewatch the Sopranos it never gets dull whatsoever, absolutely brilliant show. “Wanted dead or alive” & “Nighthawks” two great Rutger Hauer movies there for sure, especially Nighthawks being a very underrated one and one I’ve always loved a hell of a lot. Yeah Arrow surprised me with announcing “Demolition man” as we discussed last night but was an instant buy for me, watched it yesterday and film still holds up great. I’ll give “Rio bravo” a watch this week, I’m sure I’ll love it. Can’t go wrong with Jamie Lee Curtis in 4K especially with how smoking hot she looked in these two films in particular. Trading Places and that one scene 😂😂 one of the most paused video tapes back in the day i’m sure just like “Basic instinct” 😏😉. Have a great new year’s celebration my friend, and speak soon 😎👍💪💪💪

Yeah Carpenter did say that it was a huge influence on Assault on precinct 13, think Howard Hawks is his favourite director as well so he’s been hugely influenced by his work in general. I will give Rio Bravo a watch some time this week, should be a good one for sure. Yeah i too like many others wish Nighthawks would get all of its deleted scenes released and put back into the film. I definitely feel that lol. But for some movies i gotta make exceptions, with 4K it’s different though. No way I’ll be upgrading every single blu ray in my collection to 4K 🤣

I’m a huge fan of the special features, always so fascinating to watch the behind the scenes stuff and learn what went into making the films.

Cheers Franz, I’ve literally just got done watching the 4k of Demolition Man and the transfer is superb so you’re in for a treat there for sure. Fantastic release by Arrow. Yeah Koch is amazing, been buying from them for years for the longest time it was the only label putting out great and forgotten spaghetti westerns. The Germans are absolute forerunners when it comes to that. Have a great new year my friend! 😎👍

@@101Bronson I don't think that version of Rambo III is particularly butchered ; it only has a horsefall cut. Casual watchers won't notice, but if you've watched it many times (like we have), you will pick up on the brief cut. The 1989 Guild Home Video release (which I do have) was made unwatchable by the editing, though.

Thanks Ben, yeah the director’s cut really impressed me a whole lot when i first saw it. I didn’t know about all the extra scenes they had left on the cutting room floor and i definitely didn’t know they would just so much to the story in terms of character development etc. It definitely fits in with all the others now perfectly. Sly did a brilliant job on the new cut for sure, just hope he’ll get the same chance to get a go at Rocky V. I know he really wants to do that. 😎💪💪

@ Yeah rumours have been circulating that he wants to recut Rocky V, no idea if he will as he’s still working on Tulsa King right now. But there are clips out there of the Rocky V work print which is very different to what we got theatrically 🤔

@@RiderRated18 yeah and Sly has seen that workprint and he absolutely wants to take a look if all that stuff is still locked away in a vault somewhere but think the studio is apprehensive because of course “V” is the one that underperformed for them back then and popular opinion is not exactly in the film’s favour either . On one hand i get but on the other hand since the “IV” directors cut was pretty successful they should at least give him the chance.

Lol tbf “Least favorite” doesn’t really mean much in this ranking as all these films i can watch over & over again 😂. But yeah that is pretty ironic 😅😂
