    I agree with Suisui. Having rice with meat is simply way different and most often better than just meat.

      When my roommates and I get Chinese take-out, I have to have mine with rice. Soaks up all the sauces and gravy. My roommates don't touch theirs and give it to me instead. I don't know how they're able to eat just their beef and broccoli or w/e they ordered straight up by itself, no rice. I could never do keto.

      @@ungod8741the only time I won't get rice probably when I ate noodle. Those two feels weird together but otherwise, rice with meat always if possible. Especially if it's a good and fitting rice for the dish

      I agree that rice and meat is a good combination especially with slightly salted tongue and karubi!! But I don’t eat rice or eat only a small portion when eating buffet yakiniku tho lol. Also Is there really people who just eat rice and yakiniku sauce..?

    • @TempestaDominus
      @TempestaDominus 2 роки тому

      @@Riomulen yakiniku in the end just meat after all. So yeah, rice with sauce and yakiniku the best

      I generally agree but If I'm eating at a Yakiniku or Korean BBQ place I don't eat rice because I usually want to eat more meat. Rice fills me up too quickly.

    As Mexican I completely agree with Towa-sama in the case of rice, it is impossible to have too much rice what with the sauces being really strong, being able to drench the rice on spicy sauces or meat juices is just fantastic.

    When I was studying in Japan, a lot of my friends said that it didn't really feel like a meal if you didn't have rice. There were even ramen places that offered bowls of rice to go with the ramen.

    Even for me a foreigner, i choose 110% ramen in a heartbeat if i was given a choice between udon vs soba vs ramen. Especially tonkotsu ramen

      Butter and Corn Ramen is also incredibly tasty, but that's something you will find in the North of Japan, but is so satisfying.

      I had "milk ramen" in Noboribetsu in Hokkaido, and it was one of the most interesting and delicious ramen I ever ate... Regional ramen are so diverse

    I'm with Suisei and Aqua on no watermelon or melon. However, I'm with Towa on steamed shrimp.

    7:3 sounds like a good rice to meat ratio. I love me some carbs and it's a nice balance against the oily and saucey meat.

    while I agree with rice being great as a palate cleanser, I will go for lower portion of rice and crap ton of meat. Something like 60 : 40 meat: rice.

  • @Armadeus88
    @Armadeus88 2 роки тому +2

    I agree with Aqua, if you're doing 30-70, you might as well not be having yakiniku. The meat's not the focus I feel. Maybe go for a don or something?
    When I do yakiniku my rice will be 50% maximum. Usually way lesser.

    Maybe this is just from American grilling culture, but I could care less about rice. If the person behind the grill knows what they're doing, then you don't want anything getting in the way of letting you savor the flavor of the meat.
