    Love this. Great ideas on where to find embellishments. Here's a hint for using a hot glue gun. Get a small silicone scraper from the dollar store to press down lace, mesh, etc. Works great. Protects your fingers and doesn't stick.

    Wow... not only did the frame turn out gorgeous, but you are a wonderful teacher. Clear, calm, easy to follow. I watched the video twice back-to-back and subscribed. I am just now finishing the prep work on a box I plan to give as a gift. I have had a mind to make it steampunk but was somewhat unsure. You have inspired me to move forward boldly. Thank you so much!

    Thank you for that wonderful tutorial! I really enjoyed it so much I watched it twice! I am always collecting bits and pieces that I think I could use in this type of work. I did learn about colour from this tutorial, so thank you for explaining why you were using the colours you used, it was a great help to me. I think I will be a lot happier now when I create a new piece after watching this video. Hugs Eileen xxx

    Beautiful! I loved watching you put this piece together & learnt a lot. I am definitely going to do something like this on one of the many frames I have waiting to be altered. I think I want to have a steampunk look to our bathroom, which we are renovating in our 1910 house, here in New Zealand. So thanks for taking the time to show us how to do this.

    I am in Steampunk Heaven right now!!!!!
    Absolutely Stunning altered frame (no, don't put a photo in, lol...) SP is my favourite favourite favourite style of all. I have been absent from UA-cam & really from serious crafting for a while. To watch this reaffirms I NEED to do another grunge, metallic, Steampunk piece. It is definitely my "happiest place". Not that I am hugely experienced but thinking of the small amount I have done, in this genre, gives me that buzzy feeling. My confidence has been on the floor for sometime & I know part of it is, I am not doing pieces I enjoy, it has become a chore. Crafting/creating should be fun & an escape from life chores!
    Thank you so much for this brilliant video. Yours always inspire!
    Off to look through my big box of saved junk.... Luurvve this!! C😊

      Caroline Brand I'm making a mental note to watch this later today. From what I can se here, it looks awesome!
      Creating should always be about what makes you feel happy. If you don't look forward to doing it in the first place, you'll never be happy with the finished piece - if in fact you even finish it!
      I'm looking forward to seeing more of your art now yes ?! x

      inspiredcaroline24 Caroline Brand I have just watched this video (and subscribed whilst I was there)
      Not only a fabulous project but such a clear and easy to follow video.
      It has made me think though - about how, when I do a canvas or something similar, that I am so restrained. I need to just throw caution to the wind and slap it all on - I am far too controlled!
      I have been collecting things but not enough - we need to see the potential use in everything don't we?!
      I need to take a lesson from my youngest, he collected anything and everything when he was little - his bedroom was full of 'junk' - I'd be in heaven now if I'd have kept it all when he grew out of the hoarding bug!

    • @EinatKessler
      @EinatKessler  7 років тому

      Fixative will not help. You need to use a stronger glue to make sure the pieces won't fall. The best thing to use is heavy gel medium and use it generously. Thanks for watching!

    What is alchole ink and why do u use it?can youe old parts that are rusty?

    • @EinatKessler
      @EinatKessler  9 років тому

      cynthia lynn Alcohol ink is an ink that is not based on water but on alcohol. That means it reacts differently with materials. I use it mainly for two reasons: first it gives metal a tainted look that I really love and it can also create rust colors on new metal so I use it for aging. Second it comes in a bottle so I use it to create beautiful drops on paper and canvas. Didn't understand your second question...Thanks for watching!
