For Haunted Cadaver, you have to sacc it for them to discard. Probably wouldn't have made a big difference, but w/e. During that discussion on color, people also forgot that the card cares about Serge's permanent's as well as Ian's.
Don't know if you read these, but, Ian Vs. Serge with the Djinn ruling, something was missed. As long as red is the most common color among all permanents. That was all permanents on the board, not just under your control. Between 2 White and 3 Red as most common. So it should have gotten the -2/-2.
This is an old video, but for anyone curious about the context on the errata for Blood Frenzy like I was, in the Fifth Edition rules which were current with the release of Tempest, instants were not able to be cast during the "End of Combat" step. As described in the official strategy guide for Fifth Edition, by Beth Moursund, the steps of combat were: "1. Declare and tap attacking creatures. 2. Fast effects. 3. Declare blocking. 4. Fast effects. 5. Resolve damage. 6. Resolve 'end of combat' effects." Step four there is described as "the last chance for either player to use fast effects during the attack".
Ian versus Serge was one of the funniest match ups (most hilarious jokes) I've seen in a long, long time. They work so well together to entertain. Whether on purpose or not. ;)
Beej's commentary and made up rules are amazing. I'm going to have to build a Child of Alara EDH and insist that I get to take an extra turn since I have all five colors on the field when I play it.
I am sorry Serge, that's not exactly how Halam Djinn works. Colorless isn't a color and isn't counted for the most common color XD (Otherwise, that text would matter for exactly Painter's Servant and massive swarms). (EDIT: Never mind, chat figured it out. Then Serge figured it out XD)
"And as Stalin said after inspecting the rotting products of Ukraine: 'These beats are bad.' " - Ian "comedy genius" Horner after taking a 7 point hit from a french renowned Slayer Plated Relic Seeker
"Not very good." Phyrexian processor is a ridiculous bomb. Also, I feel like squee is definitely worse than a craw wurm, and probably worse than a basic land.
Spell should cost 5, and which phases you get should correspond to the colors you spent. Green for untap, white for upkeep, blue for draw, black for main phases, red for combat. You get Endstep/Cleanup for free because those are part of the game keeping track of itself. so WUBRG gets you a full extra turn.
I still think for the purposes of watching drafts that the packs should be cracked prior to the draft so a non participant can take a picture of the cards and then we follow a single person on camera and when they receive a pack, the associated pack picture can be put up on screen kind of like MTGO so we can see what they are/what they do as opposed to the current setup where reading the cards (for me anyway) is nearly impossible. It's just too hard to follow the actual draft so I end up just listening to the players talk which while enjoyable does take away from the experience.
Beej commentating Magic is my new favorite thing. How do we get more? Can he cover a Pro Tour restream?

I want to forget how to play magic, and then have Serge teach me how to play.

I know this may bring the Rain of Salt but I will watch MTG on AFK over the Pro Tour every time. :)
Well, there's no Pro Tour Chaos Draft, so they have that advantage.
+Andreas Buehler Now that's an idea... :)

Cameron french is not that bad :3
From your LRR fan from Québec :!
If WOTC makes a new un-set, they should let Beej design all the cards and card rulings/mechanics.
Grifzor yes
new un-set with un-planeswalkers... i'm hype
I'm from the future, LRR is making a new Un-set
the "going online AFK" screen maybe would look better, if "online" is crossed out
Beej's commentary and made up rules are amazing. I'm going to have to build a Child of Alara EDH and insist that I get to take an extra turn since I have all five colors on the field when I play it.
The fuck is flanking?!
Cracked me up
Just watched this. Loved it. Simpler magic for a simpler time.

Am I the only one that was a little disappointed that one of them didn't have a hand of Uno cards in the intro?
This is easily one of the best things on youtube/twitch.tv. Please make this a regular thing if time/resources permits. LRR, you guys are awesome!
Man the good old days. I miss in person drafts
Never tried Chaos Draft, but this looks amazing! Can't wait to try it. Great vid. Thank you!
I missed this, was excited to watch it live, never found out when it was going to be
"And as Stalin said after inspecting the rotting products of Ukraine: 'These beats are bad.' " - Ian "comedy genius" Horner after taking a 7 point hit from a french renowned Slayer Plated Relic Seeker
colourless doesn't count in the case of the djinn does it? it does say amongst colours
drinking game - drink every time Adam says fuck
Wouldn't that amount of drinking kill you?
is that a challenge??
Sure, why not
How does Beej not yet know how to play Magic after hanging out with these guys so much?
That Djinn rules confusion was painful to watch
Adam cheated. You have to sac the undaunted cadaver or however the name was, to make the enemy discard 3 cards.
I love a good...choas draft
14:42 "Dafuk is Flanking?" lmao
Is “and now the battle truly begins” a meme? I feel like I’ve heard it somewhere before
...."you wanna know what this is Beij?... It's a +1/+1 counter... They give them to the Alph-Males of the TRIIIIIBE.." hahahahhaah
umm.... yeah cam scooped at 4 life. The Cadaver shouldve been sacrificed
"Choas draft"
PkerHaezel I love how it's such an obvious mistake, but at this point it's more fun to leave it. Lol
Man you guys opened some crazy stuff!
The Beej commentary must return.
That Djinn ruling though.
awesome draft and Beej's commentating is the best
'"Not even a handshake, huh?"
So much value in this draft! It hurts
E. Call
Snapcaster
Vindicate
Is there a list of final decklists?
Teach beej to play magic
This was awesome and super fun to watch.
it saddens me that cam took mind funeral and not the really terrible morphing mill stone lol
although that last pick vessel of paramnesia makes me happy lol
Alex should have drafted instead of James so everyone at the table could have had glasses
Ok we need this again
Adam shouldn't have won the second game?
Why is James laughing about the Dragon Blood? That thing is a bomb in formats like this.
what card id system do you use?
wizards should hire this commentator (can't spell his name for some reason)
Holy shit! I love Recoil!
edit: Eternal Masters draft hype!
Good ol' Serge, with his famous mono-apostrophes deck.
"Not very good." Phyrexian processor is a ridiculous bomb. Also, I feel like squee is definitely worse than a craw wurm, and probably worse than a basic land.
38:40 We witness a wild Horner perform a ritualistic "Ah-Dab"
Cameron's getting all the best picks!
James and Graham's cams are flipped
Chaos is misspelled in the title. Great video though.
i guess a fifth of a turn would be a phase beginning, main combat, main, eot??
Spell should cost 5, and which phases you get should correspond to the colors you spent. Green for untap, white for upkeep, blue for draw, black for main phases, red for combat. was anyone else expecting serge to go on the mtg judge IRC
chaos in the title is spelled wrong
Craw Worm! I loved that card!
I had such serious deck envy for Cam's brew. So tasty.
I love that intro
lands are permanents, but are colorless
my boy graham picking up invasion hell fkn yes.
1:31:25 I kinda wonder what Adam was yelling in the back ground
Choas? I'm not familiar with that Creature type.
it actually really pissed me off that james didn't play cyclical evolution.
lol, nebody else yelling @ serge?
Watching them question certain abilities on cards just reminds me how long I've been playing and just how old I am..... smh
If you say no to high roll, it becomes low roll.
It's time to d-d-d-d-duel.. oh wrong deckmaster
Man, I could've drafted a sweet commander deck from these packs lol.
Nice cut.
VINDICATE
That intro tho :D
1:03:15
Adam is loud and crass.
How could Djinn be so hard to understand? xD
Choas draft.

Choas draft
All the winners went 2-0
On screen winners
Colourless is not a colour, Serge! Still think you're great though
James kept forgetting about Echo, his lizard was supposed to be sacrificed.
Echo only needs to be paid once.
+Scootaloo 009 ok I guess I got mixed up and thought it was each
+Jesse M nah, that's cumulative upkeep which increases each turn
Colorless it not a color xD
3-1 with tron
Adam cheated, i doubt purposely but still
Lol... Choas draft
Stahp the BS rules
Adam needed to sac that cadaver for the discard to happen, cam should've survived another turn.
