We fixed the Jockey Wheel Clamp problem by placing a Champagne cork on top/over the thread bolt and tightened up. Never failed and have been using this for over 10 years now. We too love the Hyde/Norseman road. We are enjoying your videos and travels. Well done Cheers Peter
The HS2 looks great… you’re spot on about the tyres on vans… I owned a Bob Jane T-Mart for over 15 years and have driven on heaps of different A/T Tyres and Yokies are right up there. If you can jag tyres made in Japan like many Yokohamas are, they will be the best quality. I’m on my 3rd set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3 and I love them. See you on the Patreon catch up.
I have never heard of the Breakaways before, one to keep on the list to see for sure! Amazing colours, Liz I can just imagine seeing you there with an easel and painting away some fantastic paintings and memories. OMG, What a difference James’s haircut is, love it, he looks so good, and wonderful to actually see his face. Thanks for another great video. Cheers Sharon
We had a morning tea stop at the Breakaways back in 2007 enroute 9car only) to Queensland to pick up a new caravan ……. Great scenery on the Hyden / Norseman Rd also Lake Johnson .enjoy .Love Jame’s haircut by the way .
@@TheLifestylePioneers That’s a shame. Not many iconic roads left that are not being bituminised or in process of bituminised eg The Cape , The Gibb and GCR .
I would love to move to a hybrid. I was trying to convince the better half. She likes the full size but now Titanium has released this, maybe there is hope! Yokies are a great tyre, honestly there’s so many good ones. Aussies are loyalists though. I just switched from yokies to pirelli scorpion AT plus on my y62. Definitely rate them and at 40% Black Friday sale they were a steal.
Another great video ❤. When in the bush and no flynet is handy, snap a 50cm ish twig off a branch off a tree and wave it back and forth in front of face. It kinda swats the sods away. Love your work xx have safe and wonderful travels
great to see your adventures again , I don't know how wide you've made your stone stomper bar but we extended ours by 3cm on each side, the difference it makes for dirt build up on the caravan is huge. If you get after market mud guards fitted to the 79 series it helps as well. Cheers Steve
Stayed there years ago , truly awesome spot ….. during the night there was “ the mother of all storms “ thunder , lightning & rain 😬 . I was afraid we wouldn’t get Up the exit ! There was a lot of damage in Kalgoorlie from that storm . After watching your “ short “ yesterday I’ll be interested to see how you ALL cope with the flies 🤪 Stephen & Alison aka Toby & Turtle
Always upgrade the tyres on both tow vehicle and van to light truck specifications if intentending to dirt road travel. The extra load capacity and carcase strength is invaluable.
HS2 Hybrid van cost starting at around $160k - a bit rich for us! Good build but ….. $$$$$ Falken Wildpeak have been awesome in our rig! Old Harry F2F - what a ledge - need to get his family out and about on his vids more! James - now that hair is ✅
Agree the Breakaways are must to be seen, we’ve been there recently, it rained over night and they closed the road off going in from the Norsemen end, didn’t know that until we arrived at the end of the road to Norsemen, we’ve also got the red mud spray up the front of the caravan.
The Breakaways is a great camp and the colours are beautiful also the road along there is a good adventure. If you haven't been to the Holland track yet it is a Landcruiser alternator killer so try not to dunk the alternator. Thanks.
Looking forward to hearing your likes, dislikes and final choices you make on your new van. If you like the breakaways, you will like the painted desert. 😀
Really enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing how the “Mega-hybrid” goes with your testing. See what I did there 😉 Keen to see what you think of the ATX as that’s what we have spec’d on our new Lifestyle Reconn R2SE which is due in a few months. This route is high on our list and the breakaways look amazing. Can also say I love how you let your kids be kids and don’t wrap them in cotton wool sadly this is so rare these days.
Hi guy's Good job on snagging the demo looks bloody orsme How's the hyden to norsman road, every time I've been that way its up shit big time, shudders ya all over the place dangerous road if not been graded. Nice show content guy's keep it up Cheers wazza 😎😁
Hey, Tony. It's from Stratus Outdoors, we really like it. Very well made, durable and nice and light. Our Code 'TLP' at checkout will get you 15% off 👍
Nice looking Van! As far as tyres our Hilltop came with Chinese tyres and we replaced them when they developed dangerous side wall bulges after 10K just rubbish !
We are going to try put one in the canopy of our Silverado 2500. To try make it easier to use. Filter direct from the sea into a bladder on the roof. Then gravity feed into the van. If it’s not easy to use and set up you will never use it. Will see how it goes. Happy travels guys.
@@stevehowell2910 yeah, that's the way to go. If I had the space in my vehicle I would've put it in there. You'll find it very workable the way you're planning set it up I reckon. Have you bought the kit yet?
@@TheLifestylePioneersnot yet but I have talked to Clim was really good with his customer service. Sent a question at 8:00pm and called me about 8:20pm. Spoke with him for about an hour. Two things- 1) RE tyres- too easy for van manufacturers to hide sh!t3 tyres in the overall driveway away price so demand decent rubber. 2) RE shonky gear changes... Simon, we've discussed this previously. You're never at ease when your better half drives your beloved 76. As a fellow 76 series driver who loves his car, I feel your pain!

You're absolutely right, or better still, buy a van with them fitted as standard.
Did James decide it was time for a haircut? Looks so grown up. Loved the painted rocks
Yeah, his choice. He'd had enough of the long hair.

Nearly five years full time and picked up a tech screw in front tyre at Barkley Homestead 😝 tyres were Toyo open country 👍
What a bugger. Any tyre would suffer from that I guess.
