I liked the video because it was a flattering first-time visitor's impression. But I also liked that you tried to inform yourself and us about the city beyond the little information provided in the video.
@@americangirlreacts This is the second film you have presented that cannot be watched due to technical problems. Your window works normally, but the video you are reacting to works like a freeze frame or slow-motion cuts. I will only tell you that in Katowice there is a hall resembling a UFO. The Intel Extreme Masters computer games tournament takes place there every year. Katowice is a former city of coal mines and metallurgical industry. Katowice is the central city surrounded by satellite cities with heavy industry. Among others, 20 miles from Katowice there is a Polish tank factory
Hi, i'm from Katowice, this city is bit defferent than Warszawa, Kraków, Wrocław. To Kraków about one hour trip, Wrocław two hour trip, Warszawa three and half hour trip. Surrounded by other cities (it's Metropolia Górnośląska). Between Katowice and Chorzów is biggest city park in Europe (park śląski). Katowice looks good from above, on youtube you can find films made by drons. Chemiq (dron films) is youtube channel, people from my region, filming our region.
Well. I'm kinda resident of Katowice since this year, but I previously went to University there. It is a very specif city. It doesn't have large resident population like other similar cities, since it's Part of Upper Silesian urban region, basically mid-size cities right next to each other, within like 20 min car ride. So instead of building more flats it's basically just a place many people commute to. With Katowice being for most part focused on office spaces, not industrial spaces - these are mostly located in nearby towns where land is cheaper. Normally Katowice has only Population similar to Orlando, Florida but if you want to count entire region that's within 1 hour ride the population is 2 mln . Generally, it's very well maintained, lots of parks and greenery. The place I live currently is quite spectacular in Spring with all the flowers blooming and stuff. But generally, within Poland Katowice is considered a very plain, unremarkable city. Although the city does fund a lot of activities, generally maintains public spaces well, communication is good with significant train station, trams, a lot of buses and airport (although that is located significant distance away from city itself), decently paying jobs (for Poland that is)... I'd say it's a good place to live overall.
17:39 To rzeźba Jerzego Kędziory, pochodzącego z Częstochowy.
it's a small city, supposedly small (because it does not fit into the top 10 largest cities in Poland), but the center of an agglomeration of ~40 adjacent cities, which is still larger than the capital city
Katowice is the center of the coal basin in Poland. I always associated it with gray buildings, but after the revolution and the overthrow of communism it gained color. This hotel is like a hotel adapted in an old building. Where does such interest in Poland come from?😄
I am Polish and I have never been to Katowice, so I discovered it with you now. I always think of it as a grey place, that used to be industrial in the era of coal etc.
To fix OBS stuttering when recording issues, you can also set the recording priority to high in OBS settings. To do that, click on Settings and select the Advanced tab. In the General section, expand the Process Priority drop-down menu, and change the setting from Normal to High.
Thank you. Ill do that. I noticed during switching scenes my volume changes. Didn't have noise suppression filter on the second scene. I thought it sounded better. Should I just not use it?
Katowice does not have what cities founded in the Middle Ages had. There is no classic market square in Katowice. Katowice could use a modern market square, but the city authorities lack imagination, courage and perhaps money. The market square must be closed, rectangular and have a decorated town hall tower with a clock. A Polish city without a market square is nonsense. Near Katowice there is Gliwice, which has a classic market square. Bytom has a market square, Tarnowskie Góry has a market square, Mysłowice has a market square (partially destroyed, but it is the authorities' obligation to rebuild it).
What is written in Wikipedia about Katowice and Silesia is not true. Silesia was forcibly conquered by and given to Poland. Silesians are a separate nationality and culture. Silesia has a completely different history than Poland, because in reality it was not previously part of Poland, and only after World War II it was annexed to Poland. And part of Silesia is also located in the Czech Republic and Germany. Silesia used to be one organism, and after the war it was divided and now Silesia is actually under Polish and Czech occupation, with the Czech part having more autonomy than in Poland.

Katowice is like American Detroit very industrial city
Nagraj w film w którym opowiesz skąd twoje zaj tresowanie polską i czy planujesz przyjazd do naszego pięknego kraju?

Thank you for your video.
But there's so many churches in Katowice & the area...
You did not show non.
Shame on you.
Wyglądasz trochę jak Kaśka...
I don't know much about the algorithm, but maybe midnight in Poland is not the best time to post a video about Poland?
Oh its an awful time to post. I figured it's better then not putting one up. I guess I'll find out later how that worked out. Hope you're doing well
@@americangirlreacts Very well, thank you :)
One question , why Poland ? ... honesty ...
It's not hard to notice, that Amy gets many views from Poland.
Cause Poland is extremely beautiful and clean with rich but sad history.
