I was there one month earlier. At 16, I had the nerve to knock at his door. He said something to me about fans coming around, and I said I'm not a fan, I'm an admirer. I was holding an unlit cigarette and he was kind enough to bring me a light and to say "keep the box". I've treasured that box since then. I may not have the video but me, George and the man above knows it true.
Nice story.
Did he live in the bungalow then? What was it like?
@@Natashahoneypot He did. It wasn't very large. Brightly colored. A kid on a bike directed us to the house. We got off the train and really didn't know where to go.
@steffigavin9152 how did he look in person? Was he georgegous? 😂
@@annaliese9453 Absolutely Gorgeous. A real thrill for me.
What a beautiful man he was!!!😍
I forgot to say that how soothing his voice is for my ears, I could listen to George all day long ❤️
Well said! Beautiful man inside and out ❤️
👏👏👏👏👍👍🙌🙌
George had the most soothing voice ❤
She is Pat Kinzer from the official George Harrison Fan Club! Nice to see this footage!
I understand this was a sort of an arranged meeting and people couldn't just walk up to his house and get autographs. I'm confused though... In 1969 George (& the other Beatles) were probably the best-known human's on earth. (Well, them and Neil Armstrong :). 30 years later in 1999 someone almost ended George's precious life. (Which happened to dear John.) Some say the stabbing shortened his life. He had to have mass security systems around his home many years before 1999. What happened in that 30 years? Did The Beatle's popularity just keep growing? Are people getting crazier? I wish I knew. This beautiful man is living in millions & millions of hearts. He will never... NOT exist.
Well said...👍
I think violence and need for getting famous for any reason are growing and that explains the attacks to John & George
I think people got crazier with time. Just take the murders coordinated by Charles Manson, for example. By 1969, the world was changing, and changing fast
@@paula17sp Violence has grown with time, but he was also lucky. Look at Andy Warhol getting shot in the '60s by a nut.
John's murder in 1980 ended the innocent connection with fans.
How innocent and safe the world used to be so that celebrities would casually let fans go to their homes and sign autographs to them? The fact that the world lost this kind of safety, innocence and simplicity just breaks my heart.
I am Pat Kinzer Mancuso, the girl in the polka-dot dress. It wasn't like I just showed up. I sent him a certified letter in advance - he knew we were coming. Saw him the year before at his house too.
@@patmancuso5919 you're so lucky, omg! 🥺
@@patmancuso5919 that's amazing to know, you were very lucky. Either way it's great to see how the relationship between celebrities and fans was good-hearted and healthy back in the day. Did you meet him in person any other time besides these two? Did you guys talk?
@@patmancuso5919 lukcy girl! Amazing and historic moment! I wish i could born in 60's. Sometimes i fell like born in the wrong generation.
Me too!
Wow ! I always had knew this meeting was George and my dear friend Pat Kinzer Mancuso . I have her book and she talked these request were for her own fan club named OFFICIAL GEORGE HARRISON FAN CLUB , very famous in that time , Adorable images ! George always tender and gentle . I love him ! Thank you for share this . 😍😍
Major appreciation to my friend, Pat Simmons for having the idea to rent a home movie camera while in England and bring it with her when she and a few other members of the Official George Harrison Fan Club met with George at Kinfauns. Cheap opportunity to plug my book: Dear Beatle People: The Story of the Beatles North American Fan Club
Does this house still stand today?
Amazing guy he was!
I believe I read that it was torn down maybe 10 or so years ago, and there is now a much bigger house there.
Oh, i miss him!
"I can see The Beatles sticking together forever" The Beatles broke up a few months after this interview.
NO WAY, footage of that photo session 😍😍😍
Superbe cette maison
Amazing !!!
Amazing. You could just walk right up and knock on their doors. That's what Yoko did to Paul.

What a fantastic piece of film footage!!!! Thanks for posting it.
What was the answer to the last question?
Terrible behavior. Leave the poor guy alone I hate peoples who bother famous people at home
He knew I was coming. I didn't just drop in unannounced.
Thanks for sharing.
