When I'm rich enough to buy a house a 1/2 mile away from my neighbour, I'll buy one of these. But until then the 1959, which was always much more than 100 watts, will just be way too loud. Even my old (from 1972) 50 watt Super Lead was way too loud, even for pubs when the volume was cranked. But I do love the concept of this amp. Maybe a sub 20 watt version would be awesome.
It's a fine idea and adds a lot of versatility. But it's still a 100 Watt Marshall, and still impractical for the gigging guitarist. Is Marshall gonna make this in the 20 watt version?
let me preface this by saying I'm a huge Marshall fan, I have three of their amps (and I'd have more if I had the funds), I've been to the factory, I'm something of a Marshall fanatic. Just so I don't get the "ur just a hater" comments. The amps sound phenomenal and it was about time y'all caught up, but the price tag is just atrocious, especially given how most of these mods are not *that* labor intensive and people have been doing them for parts+service fees for decades. The 1959HW is 1900€, and I'm guessing the people making those will be modding that amp and getting this amp. Hell, even if you make a completely new design (which would be silly), THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED euros is just insane. If I buy a brand spanking new 1959HW and have those exact mods done by a reputable technician (and make no mistake, these mods are far from some quiet kept secret, everyone's been doing them for years, I even have a few on my JVM like the bright cap), I'd still probably have about 1500€ to spare. So either y'all are out of your mind, or you really want to downsell people the 1959HW 😂
Sounds very good, unfortunately too expensive for me. Sticking with my Ceriatone Chupacabra, which is very similar. But i like the product and it is nice that finally after all this time, Marshall is doing a José-Mod themselves.
I have a stock REAL 1967 Marshall super bass , filter caps under chassis, it's louder than any plexi I've ever heard and others say the same, and it's brutal scorch gain. Hahaha, no need for mods , victor ftom plexi palace knows the amp and Eric Johnson wanted to buy it . Modding is totally unnecessary, get 25 watt green backs or black backs with a Tom Holmes pickup and be done.
I get it, however, my TA is #1, my 70’s LP’s might start in my #4-#5 slot. This is the whole mindset why Marshall’s declined. BTW, my 80 jmp is my #1. 😉
They’re jumping on the 80s-2000s era iconic money makers; basically more Van Halen merch. It sells, why not? Every boomer I know with money or 35+ wants this stuff and I’m here for the modern workaround takes on it. Good call. Don’t fuck up again.

Will the mods be available in the studio series? I was planning to have my sv20 modded but if you can do so... Would be awesome
Why no reverb ? Looks Super Amazing . 🎬🔊🔊🔊🔊🎸🎼🎼🎼🎼✨
Would be great to do another video with the 1959 using your range of 2x12 and 4x12 cabinets to help me decide which pairing I prefer!
Good suggestion.
Does the clip work like the studio jubilee?
I want a 1 watt version of this for my bedroom 😎
Well what do you know?! Been looking to get a new amp the last. Torn between this or JCM800. I hope the prices make sense for these. Awesome!!
“Pre tone stack master volume?” Can someone please explain this? Was hoping it would have a PPIMV
I love the extra variety of sounds on the new 1959 MODIFIED! The stock 1959 tone is my all-time favourite and the amp is even better now. And Marshall, please keep making the CODE Series CODE100H and CODE50 combo.
I like this and new JCM800
Does it really have fx loop? On Andertons it says yes, but in the photos I don't see that
oook and now a Studio Collection version of it with a load to use headphone or to go directly in the audio interface without hear your playing with the cab. As Blackstar emulated output.
sounds awesome! what speaker is being used here?
It's being played through the 1960BX 🔥
If you need ideas for fixing the origin series... 😉
Must have a loop with these mods since we are not relying on power amp saturation here.
OH HECK YEA!!!!!!!!!
At last back ln the boutique realm.
about time
Please take my money ❤❤❤ no words… I’m in love
It's a fine idea and adds a lot of versatility. But it's still a 100 Watt Marshall, and still impractical for the gigging guitarist. Is Marshall gonna make this in the 20 watt version?
Wish you guys got this to market before the orange conman got into office. This amp is going to cost 5k soon. Maybe I’ll get one in 4 years😢
let me preface this by saying I'm a huge Marshall fan, I have three of their amps (and I'd have more if I had the funds), I've been to the factory, I'm something of a Marshall fanatic.
OMG ❤
Nice!
❤
Oh Yeah!
Shit just got real😮😮😮
Sounds very good, unfortunately too expensive for me. Sticking with my Ceriatone Chupacabra, which is very similar. But i like the product and it is nice that finally after all this time, Marshall is doing a José-Mod themselves.
Finally!
LOOKS FANTASTIC AND BEAUTIFUL!! but does it feature VIETNAM TRANSFORMERS
great that's great news you have to please put in a foot switch
Anybody know what this will be priced at?
Thx!
Looking forward to getting one of these 👍🏻🎸
@@ericcarlson5 Andertons $2,999.00 3 month wait time.
@@ericcarlson5 The suggested retail price of the 1959HW is £2,999 and the 2203MS is £2,699
Toooooo much! Look for an second hand Carvin......
@ ok thx!
Master volume ‘pre tone stack’… are you sure? The most popular mod is a PPIMV.
Still no effects loop…😢
would have been cool if the mods were #34 and Jose.
#34 is already present on the AFD100, and solid state clipping is mainly associated with Jose
Great call by Marshall. Prices are absurd though.
Should he be playing a les Paul
I get it, however, my TA is #1, my 70’s LP’s might start in my #4-#5 slot. This is the whole mindset why Marshall’s declined. BTW, my 80 jmp is my #1. 😉
They’re jumping on the 80s-2000s era iconic money makers; basically more Van Halen merch. It sells, why not? Every boomer I know with money or 35+ wants this stuff and I’m here for the modern workaround takes on it.
Good call. Don’t fuck up again.
