Exactly my thought. The marketing made this game seem amazing. I always wanted to play growing up but I never did. I saw someone mention it online so I searched and found this. Looks so boring lollll
Justin Ahn I convinced them and boy did I regret it haha 😆 man i regret even watching this video such a let down of a game that damn commercial got me good
What the crap are you talking about? This games is freaking awesome! My friend and I played in for hours when. I spent the night at his house as a kid.
That sounds so annoying. No wonder my mom wouldn’t buy this for us. It sounds like a hail storm on a tin room. Plus I think she was worried about metal balls being swallowed by either us or our pets. 🤦🏼♀️
Remember the James Bond move _Never Say Never Again,_ where Bond had to play a video game against the main villain? I suddenly want to see a Bond and the main villain go head-to-head in a game of Giant Crossfire--it takes place in an arena the size of a football field or Olympic swimming pool, and they're sitting six feet off the ground on gyroscope turrets, firing rubber bullets from a chain gun at these big-ass targets, two feet across in diameter.
Lmfao. I'm aware your comment is three years out but I'm in tears laughing because I thought I was like the only person in America who remembered that Bond scene of them playing that weird game.
I remember seeing this in the Christmas catalogs as a kid and thought it would be cool. I may have to keep my eye out for one now. Looks like it would be fun.
@Kyle Watson Think about the 90s, you had 80's stuff like thrash metal and NES games like Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario bros and Ninja Gaiden, AND 90s stuff like alternative rock, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter.
I really want them to bring this back and update the heck out of it. Better feeding, sturdier base, upgraded shooter, more balls, and for goodness sake sell the replacement balls. 100 for $10. Done.
They definitely don't know what the "F" they are doing. Guy on the left keeps adding a bunch of ammo, but only fires one at a time, then wonders why it keeps getting stuck. How dumb!
this video ruined my childhood. Never owned one, but the commercial made this game look SO BADASS! Who woulda thought the ball-bearings would get caught.
this commercial was Such a scam intro shows a cool hoverboard but then when it really starts it's a board game I wanted that board in the intro when I was a kid
Idk why the comments seem so negative, this looks like mad fun in the moment lol. If somebody is good at reloading and aiming, I can see it being competitive... Maybe play some metal/retro music and dim the lights a little if you want it more epic? 😂
This game in comparison to the commercial was such false advertisement. Somebody got me this game and I played it once with my brother and don't know what happened to it lol.
As a child (me being born Dec 23, 1987), this always looked epic in the commercial . . . Actually seeing it in a UA-cam video (because I never seen this game before outside the commercial), it's such a let down XD
Remember original 70's version was way better. Much bigger playing field and guns were far more powerful. Used to damn near break ya fingers if your playing partner fired ball bearings at you when you went to grab the puck! lol
I always thought this was the most dangerous game to play this side of Russian roulette since you go straight to hell of you lose according to the commercial.
This 90s version was rubbish. The 70s version was twice the size with slightly bigger balls. I used to replace the metal u shaped metal springs with women's hair clips, which made them much more powerful. The 70s version wouldn't be allowed today. If it was made today the balls would probably be made out of plastic and come with goggles and finger guards.😂
This is one of the games I gotta go back and buy just like monopoly I haven’t played this game since elementary. And actually, I think they were playing wrong in this video. I didn’t watch all of it and also, I bet no one knows how to cheat in crossfire
Imagine only having one hand and not being able to shoot while reloading. I hated this game. Mom didn't think it through. My little sister used to kick my ass...
if i were to play this game i would need to have the song from the commercial on loop
Nicholas Dennis yea yea yea lmfao
"Crossfire, you'll get caught up in the...crossfire!"
Nicholas Dennis I sing it nonstop during play, mind games my friend

When I was young, we legit thought that this was how future conficts would be solved.
Looking at how things are going today, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was used. 😂
Were you special needs?
@@ThatCleanMT No, he was a normal child with an imagination. -_-
After watching this video, I'm glad I never convinced my parents to get this for me.
I swear! I was thinking the same thing! lol The commercial made this seem WAYYYYY cooler than what it is man. lol
Justin Ahn I convinced them and boy did I regret it haha 😆 man i regret even watching this video such a let down of a game that damn commercial got me good
It might be fun if the guy would stop giving the play by play of the game. Oh shoot I’m out of ammo.
andrewgofficia If toy commercials weren’t allowed to use music they wouldn’t sale any toys 😂

Crossfire
Crossfire!
CROSSFIYAH!!!!
I loved this game as a kid!!! It had a cool commercial too. I was born in 1984.
Crossfire: the game where the commercial was better than the real thing
I thought it was a really fun game. You have to want to win though. If both sides are just lazily firing balls slowly nothing is going to happen.
I had this. It was pretty fun. You have to use proper force on the trigger to increase rate of fire and balls speed.
Who is here after seeing the comedian talk about this game?
That sounds so annoying. No wonder my mom wouldn’t buy this for us. It sounds like a hail storm on a tin room. Plus I think she was worried about metal balls being swallowed by either us or our pets. 🤦🏼♀️

You need to write the script for the next Bond movie

Wow, creative thinking at its best! Your ideas could take you places you could only imagine.. best of luck to you!!
This game looks even more fun in real life than it did in the commercial! I really wanna see if I can find and buy it now

I'm finally having my 4 yr old play this game! He loves it!
Haha that's awesome! I remember the commercial for this.
I used to have this. Needs more ammo and a better system to reload but still fun
nothing beats the 90s

They do sell replacements. I found them on Amazon recently.
I came here to say this-you spoke my words!
Notice how the adult is loving it. Kids now are dead inside
"CROSSFIRE: You'll get caught up in it."
you guys are playing like half speed of how its normally played
Richard Lopez I was thinking the same thing. also, you don't need two hands to fire the gun.... keep shooting and always be reloading
IKR It’s fun when u play fast

a way to win cross fire is by pushing the trigger as fast as you can try to do that
the commercial made it seem more excited lol
Actually some people enjoyed it :P
In person im sure its alot more exciting than on video but i still loved the content . 😎 i like the effort . Great upload 🥳🥳🥳
I wanted to get this game as a kid but now I’m really glad I didn’t get it. It seems like it would get boring so quickly.
