Ausser Windgeräuschen ist nix zu hören. Schade.

Scheibe ganz unten? Die Windgeräusche sind echt schlimm.

Thanks for the reply. I have always ridden sports tourers, for 7 years a BMWK1300s. The up hill hairpins were hard enough on that but I had a clutch. So wasn’t sure about the DCT.

Yes, the uphill hairpins are a challenge with either manual or automatic gear box. But with DCT in S2 there's no problem because it downshifts automatically into 1 before the turn. And as I mentioned before, if it doesn't, the manual downshifting by paddle will do it very quickly. The important thing is that it stays in 1 through the hairpin and the acceleration at the end of it. That's what the DCT in S2 is doing. Not necessarily in S1 when it could happen that the DCT shifts into 2nd gear while going through the hairpin which can be a little annoying.

Thanks for all the information. I rode the BMW then a Kawasaki z1000zx and now a Suzuki GSX1000f. Fancy a change to something different. A twin with dct is definitely different. I shall take on for test ride. My only concern is I have a 29” inside leg so I prefer an 810mm seat height.

Were you using the shift up and down paddles or did you just leave it in S2 mode.

I can't remember but generally speaking my experience is that very rarely there's the need to intervene manually by using the paddles. However, if I do the response is absolutely mind blowing. It's extremely quick and almost imperceptible. This gear box is just a dream. But, as I said, there's almost no need to do that. If you choose the right automatic mode. I am using S2 to ride in a more sporty fashion and uphill. S1 downhill. S1 + driving mode "Stadt" or "City" is the right combination to cruise along through villages or in the city. It's very relaxed riding, always the right gear and torque without the nervousness of the throttle control that you have in S2.
