Hi, thank you for the video.... Are all clerk positions require you to leave work only to come back later in the day, and do it 6 days a week? Early or long hours don't bother me, but coming back to work does. Looking at the post office hours they aren't even open on Sundays, does this still apply for employees? This may be a silly question but I'm looking at an opening. The hours of town in looking at is 9 to 430 on week days, and 9am to 11 sat, and off Sundays.
Hey, no all clerk positions don’t require you to come back later in the day, around the holidays the hours are just really long it’ll start to feel like you were just there lol. Most positions are 6 days a week as far as I know. Don’t go off of the posted hours, those are the hours that people can drop off their mail, etc. Mail runs 24/7 so just keep that in mind. I hope this helps!

I have a question. Are you allowed to use the restroom if you are not on your break or lunch? What do you do if you don't feel like you can wait that long?
1.) Do you stand your entire shift or does it just depend what station you're at? 2.) Is there a locker provided to put your belongings away? 3.) Are you required to wear gloves and a mask? 4.) So is mail processing clerk typically an early shift or overnight job? 5.) What are the shoe requirements?

Hey! I work from 2am until whenever I get done. Some days I get off at 10:30am some days 1pm-2pm.
Hello , I would like to apply job , how to study for exam and apply the job ??
Hey! Go to USPS Careers to apply. The exam isn’t hard, I didn’t study but there are multiple videos on UA-cam that can prepare you! I hope this helps!
i'm confused you are the only pse at your station? cause thats is wayy to much work for 1 pse to deal with !!!
I was the only one in my zone yes! Definitely was too much work everyday but I was really fast until I started to get burnt out. 2 new PSE’s just started last week🙌🏾
How much start off with?
Alittle over $20 an hour
Tossing packages. No wonder my packages are so beat up.
You try to do the job for 12 😂
If we spent time walking each item to each bin, you would never get your mail😭
Right 😂
Which is better? PSE or MHA ?
I would say PSE only because I made more money
Hi question is this 476 or 477 hope someone answer me please thanks.. cus im done doing cca🤭
Im looking for that 476 and 477 that I don’t need to deal with the costumer just scan the packages sorting mail etc.
PSE Mail Processing Clerk…should be 476
Can you wear earbuds?
Yes you can
Are u scanning letters? It gives u the route?
Yes and yes
@@dayonamis this a PSE thing or a MHA thing?
@@flowergatcha PSE
What are the hours?
It depends
Post office no day off.
Exactly 😂
Is this stressful for someone with a disability? Are their part time ?
It could be a stressful job if you’re not used to manual labor. You should still apply, you never know unless you try!
Do you get paid hourly
Yes
Why don’t they just hire more people? And have shorter shifts, 12 hours is so long. Too long lol. And 6 days a week!? Omg. They need to make some changes cuz that’s wild!
It’s been like this forever, I doubt they ever will and I won’t be here forever to find out lol
Are you regular ?
Not yet
I got hired by the usps for a mail carrier . Did not have orientation yet , really starting to rethink working here . working at the hospital now 3 days a week for 12 hours then done for the week that is considered full time . I applied because I got tired of nasty ass people in the E.R . But now think 3 days a week is not bad a all
Yea, write out the pros & cons of your current job. If the good outweighs the bad then you should stay but still totally up to you!
Do you like seeing your kids and s/o and doing things with them? If the answer is yes, stay where you are. If you want to work your life away for a couple years, go ahead make the jump
@@OhhhJP Thank you
Currently a rca thinking of becoming a pse for more consistent hours cause I’m barely getting hours 🥲
Girl your hours should be about to pick up for the holidays, but you’ll definitely get hours as a PSE
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐦 😉
