Thank you, Molly. I appreciate your willingness to take the time to film, edit, and share your activities and ideas on the farm. You’re a wonderful ambassador of Bells Farm. In my late teens, I borrowed my Dad’s dump truck and drove to a farm on Halloween Eve day. He also had planted too many and was happy to sell them cheap. Several friends and I filled the truck with pumpkins, at least a ton of them. That Halloween we used several pickup trucks and a large party crowd riding in the back, on top of pumpkins, to distribute them all over town. Town facilities, teachers’ houses, schools, intersections, and friends had piles of pumpkins unexpectedly, not all in one piece. We also moved a construction site portapotty into a well lit intersection in the center of town with a traffic light, broke my toe when we set it down. Great time. 😂
After watching these very well produced videos, it really makes you appreciate what it takes to get these products to market. You all just make it happen. The teamwork is refreshing! Thank you for sharing!
Molly ; you’re incredible Thanks for sharing the hard work that goes into farming Your job is under appreciated and we appreciate your dedication to the work!!
Molly you now my cognitive model of delightful. I enjoy your spirit the way you take on the day. You explain things well, you’re excited, grateful, appreciative. Love your anxiousness to learn. Nice job with that perfect hitch.
When I had a garden, growing pumpkin was one of my favorites. Watching how big they get then slowly turning orange. Very rewarding in my opinion. Great day in the patch. Thank you for sharing.
My new favorite feed, so much work being a primary producer. As an Aussie who lives in the burbs and is chained to a desk, I really enjoy watching what you have created.. maybe one day I can get out and live the life I have always dreamed of
It’s great to see the marvelous harvest. Including the girls in the video adds so much depth to the process of observing an independent farmer. Thanks for sharing 🌞
Forget the pumpkins! We just returned from your store in Auburn with a dozen ears of hands down this years BEST corn! Jezz I swear there is a jar of sugar in each ear! Awesome - just Awesome!
Truly gotta say your crops are looking amazing.. Pumpkins , sweet corn and tomatoes.. This year in mid NY we had a bite and the crops don't look so well.. But anyways thank you for creating . and sharing this grate content with us.. can't weight to see whats next on the farm...
Hi Molly Shane, it was great watching you with the pumpkins l never new they did different colours are they different flavours as well it’s fantastic weather to be out in it keeping you all looking fit and full of energy thanks for taking us along Molly.
Good golly Miss Molly, I’ll definitely take a trip to the store now. Pie pumpkins ,sweet corn and some great potatoes. Lookin good (as usual). Great looking crop for a first timer. You and Shane do such a good job.
Good Grief Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! lol. That's a lot of pumpkins. Pumpkin seeds are my fav, roast them in the oven with some salt on top. Carving pumpkins with the kids was always great fun. I would use glow stix inside instead of a candle. You guys seem to have a good crew in all the tasks.
I remember picking pumpkins as a youth. It was definitely a good days work, but as a 6’ tall husky guy, my back didn’t find it quite as fun as you and your fine helpers. Y’all did a mighty good job though, Molly. I’m looking forward to next years crop, to see what y Lessons you implement.
Great pumpkin harvest. We grow about an 1/2 acre pumpkin every year, just for fun. Those darn squash bugs got me pretty good this season. Thanks for sharing ❤
Very cool but too bad about the bugs. It is very hot and dry where I live so anything green gets mowed by squirrels or gophers. I would love the 1/2acre patch but couldn't afford the water.
Holy moly Molly! That's a lotta pumpkins girl! You need pumpkinzilla like the cornzilla to harvest all them!! It is so awesome to see someone love what they do as much as you do and to have so much passion for what they do. And it looks like the young Mollies are falling right in line with mama Molly. That is so cool to see a family work together like you all do. You all are so fortunate. Cherish every minute of it.
Such a beautiful video.....I miss Maine so so much...i remember long time ago picking up pumpkin at a relative farm..i must a been 7 or 8..let say i picked up the smaller one..I so love your Joie de vivre..Joy of living....thanks for the great video again..
Well learned something new, Pie Pumpkins! I have only bought lots of the thick white ones from local farm that grow's them for decorations. Get funny looks when you say you eat them, So Calif for ya!! We are too lazy to bake pies so we just steam them up n chow down. I would grow some but I get all I want for $20 before they disc them in. B well Molly
🌽 Molly from Bell Farms is always so inspiring! Loved seeing her tackle new tasks like pumpkin picking and sharing her first-time experiences. The farm life never gets boring with so much variety! 🎃
Nothing any better than hard working farm girls ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸✌️ and teaching them girls work ethic ✌️ them girls are going to be somebody some day !!! LOVE YA MOLLY BELL ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✌️
Hello Molly, i give you and your workers alot of credit. Farming is not a easy job, long hours, heavy lifting, rain or shine theres always something that has to be done. So hats off to you and your crew for doing what you do / farming . So thank/you and all farmers for putting food on our tables, because with out you, we would be pretty hungry.Lol Take care, stay safe and have a wonderful day. M. Canada.
Hi, Molly look like you're getting ready for Halloween lovers this time of year well it will be another month or so before it cool down here in Tennessee anyway another wonderful video enjoy it very much, ty, Steve
When we would harvest our pumpkins we cut them roll them so the stem is up and leave them in the field for a week so the stems dry out and seal shut. This helps prevent them from rotting in the bins as they sit
If you raise any feeder pigs, they would love to have some pumpkins. Once they figure out they are delicious, they go wild for those pumpkins. i just recently found your channel and I want to congratulate you on keeping a safe and fun workplace, i know the work is hard, but you provide a great environment. Great job and I really get into your videos.
Do you have a problem with plants dieing before the pumpkins are done? They look like someone left the air out. The leaves drupe and stems fall over. And the plant is still green 10:11
Having a fairly rounded ag background, I'm always interested in different crops I have not raised or worked with. Pumpkins and potatoes are somewhat new to me, however they are both grown commercially (smaller scale) within 5 miles where I live but know little about them. Corn, beans and dairy are king) in our largely rural agriculture dominated county so I truly enjoy your variety of content. Thank you for your great videos. 👍👍👍👍👍
They all look nice. Where we are here in Eastern New York kind of close to the Bennington Vermont line we actually have to hold off the growing season so we can pick them late September through October we wash most of ours as well butt back at the farm to help minimize time out in the field. I'm assuming with you guys picking them early you'll be able to store them in the cooler to hold them over for October reason why I say this is because they just don't last that long out in the sunlight on people's porches or in their flower beds for decoration purposes. However I do know that people wind up buying them early because they get super excited about the season and want to start doing things decorations wise for The Fall season Plus we use the pipe pumpkins for our pumpkin Cannon and the small gourd looking pumpkins four are smaller pumpkin cannons and yes we grow an incredible amount of them just to shoot however we do have a market on the farm to sell them as well
Hello fellow, one time, NE Ohioan! I grew up in Bay Village, but now live in Lubec, ME. About 2 hours east of Bangor. What area of NE Ohio are you from? Awesome channel! Scott.
@@BellsFarming It is fun. I don't have a large field of pumpkins, just a few backyard yard patches. I grow the strangest most gnarly varieties that I can find. Anyhow, nice video and I look forward to the tour of the store.
@@QProcessHD LOL. My goal is to grow small interesting-looking pumpkins. Just like some say: "it's not the size of the boat it's the motion of the ocean" LOL
Does your wiping solution have a sanitizer or disinfectant of some sort in it? We're about to pick our pumpkins today and are always on the lookout for a better way. Thanks for the many interesting videos!
For a first attempt at pumpkins those look pretty sweet. Down here in NC i'm starting to see equal orange and white in the stores or at least much more white. Is Market requesting more white up that way? BTW, you got some last year potato's. Did you leave the ground fallow then plant pumpkins this year on the soil? Do you test the soil?
Hahaha well it’s a very simple way to judge! Last year we had a terrible year, it was very wet. So we had to buys some pumpkins from another farm to sell. As long as I have enough for our farm store it’s a good yield. But Shane and ray said this year might be one of the best years for pumpkins.
Didnt realize the care you take picking pumpkins always informative and you are a natural in front of the camera thanks for the great video
