The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with a Top-5 Nationally-Ranked Fine Arts Program, recently performed "Miss Saigon" on its main stage in the Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring sophomore Aubee Billie (Kim), senior Clay Hider (2019 Jimmy Awards nominee, Christopher Scott), senior Kyle Martin (John Thomas), sophomore Olivia Henley (2019 Jimmy Awards nominee, Ellen Scott), junior Chris Santiago (The Engineer), and senior Chris Pappas (Thuy), and a talented ensemble cast--this musical was an instant crowd favorite.
TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mr. Nathan Adams (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mr. Douglas Gawriljuk (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Lauren Moxey (Visual Art), Mrs. Stephanie Grasso (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).

This is the dramatic scene in the iconic show miss Saigon, Ellen has already seen Kim and knows that Kim
wants to give her son a better life, now it is the confrontation between Ellen and Chris her husband. This
extremely powerful song between Ellen and Chris is heart breaking and these two AMAZING performers
bring out not just a beautiful MOVING heartfelt performance but a an AMAZING passionate performance.
Bravo many congratulations, just loved it, Kim Phuong ( actor) ( Vietnamese by birth).

miss Saigon at tka is a true masterpiece and this scene is fantastic especially clay hider, Olivia henley, Kyle Martin are very talented performers also for aubee billie who is also amazing as Kim in miss Saigon not only that but I'm very proud of mr. snyder casting in miss Saigon and other show's as well thank you tka for your wonderful show productions

So emotional
This is outstanding and very moving. All four performers are fabulous in this scene. I've compared it with some of the professional versions on UA-cam and Netflix and this is at least as good. Most of the other versions are too fast and too frantic, with Chris seemingly forgetting the existence of Ellen for some of the time, making the most of his chance to emote a solo to the audience. Here he is appealing to Ellen in a moving way. You appreciate the thought processes of the characters as they try to work out what to do. And John is excellent, too - so much is written on his face - which is just as well, since some of his key lines are omitted (the ones in which he tells Chris and Ellen they are deluding themselves). But then Kim comes in and sings, "I still taste your kisses". Wow. That really packs a punch.
Who are these kids?!!! So good! I need to come to your school!!! When things get better please contact me if you do guest artists!

Must have been a really(!) toned-down version of MS at a Christian academy; not sure how that would work? Just thought that was interesting, is all.
I love it that he doesn`t say "Christ, I am American!!", only "....I am American" :)))
I really think Helen was the reason Kim killed herself.
This girl Olivia should have played Ellen in West End or Hollywood... she is amazing!! voice and acting!!!
