I remember playing this game when it first came out and being absolutely blown away by the quality of it. The visuals, the voice acting, the combat, the story. Maybe it’s rose-tinted glasses brought on by nostalgia but I loved every second. Then I got to see the scores gaming websites were giving the game. 6, max 7/10, people saying they were disappointed etc etc and it broke my heart. I played the original Castlevania gameboy colour games and imagined this is exactly how modern day depictions of the series would be. I hope Konami decides to bring back the Lords of Shadows series back because, to me, they were something special.

Both Lords of Shadow games are absolutely astonishing. Everything is written perfectly, showed extraordinarily, and created with such divine passion and beauty. It has everything. No version can outdo the glory and power of this... The fans have bonded with this story greatly. Amazing character design, fascinating combat and magic, incredible music, and intriguing dialogs. A REAL heroic figure. Ave Dracula! And side note, THIS is Alucard. The characters of Father and Son are strong and intelligent... True. Unique. There is no comparison to the "series" we got, of misery, treason, and boredom. Lastly... Missed the time Carmilla had actual goal and purpose. You played so well. Thank you for these entertaining walk-throughs. And yes... THE most handsome Dracula 🩸⚔️🛡❤️🔥
Castlevania is one of my personal favorite, and most beloved video game series ever. I remember playing the originals on NES. The Lords of Shadows games were phenomenal. Absolute masterpieces.

Castlevania lord of shadow is the game with the most beautiful and well-made soundtrack ever made, a film soundtrack, which makes the game even more immersive, the composer enhanced this game which for me is a work of art in terms of plot, graphics and soundtrack.
This certainly is leaps and bounds ahead of the old Castlevania that started my interest in the whole castlebania saga I spent countless hours playing Simon's quest on the old 8-bit Nintendo

I just have to say I am impressed with the skill of the player. This game does not seem intuitive or easy in a lot of places but he adapted and crushed the boss fights.

Still to this day, love this game, that new game plus was nuts as it put you on its hardest setting, absolutely love its voice acting n gameplay, games incredibly atmospheric, gosh I wish I could play this on my PS4/5, I'm booting up my PS3 later and getting stuck into it again, hope you do a DLC walkthrough too I never did get round to playing that
A joint Konami and Santa Monica Studios' Castlevania would have been a good idea after this. Between the platforming and fleshing out on the skill set it would be like a new Symphony of the Night. Only in a world of what if now.
I really wish they released lords of shadow 3 where the father and shadow are fighting against brotherhood with Gabriel having capabilities similar to combat cross like having grappling power which was absent in castlevania 2 where you have to climb after freezing the water with void Sword.

At 6:10:02 I’m confused Dracula calls his son Trevor? Not knowing of the name change and then his son corrects him calling himself alucard but when trevor shows up but in “mirror of fate” with Simon to fight him Dracula refers to him as alucard so shouldn’t he know that he changed his name
Stuck for 1 hour trying to figure out where to go.. The chain in city of the damned didn't have the bats symbol so I figured you couldn't jump on it. The first part was way better...

One of the lowest points of the game you can’t kill stuff but you can kill Satan. Certain gameplay mechanics held it back from a higher score.

This Belmont betrayded the clan movement.
In other words, he's the only Belmont that turned dracula
to be fair, Gabriel never knew there would be a Belmont lineage until he found out after killing Trevor, much to his horror.

Dracula technically has a devil trigger. Imagine if Capcom bought the right for Castlevania and other masterpieces like Metal Gear and Silent Hill
