DEFINITELY one of my favorite Zeppelin tunes. You nailed it on the 'funky' part, as the song just storms out of the gate and never lets up. Zeppelin is just epic. Always has been, always will be.
First time at your videos and thank you for listening to the complete song. First off, I believe this is off their last album which was a double album. The one song you must do by Led Zeppelin is "Kashmir" and not live. "Kashmir" has been called, by Jimmy Page the Lead Guitarist, as the definitive song by the Group that shows off their talents the most! Thanks again for not stopping the song to comment on it!
I remember back in the 70's channel 20 in Washington D.C. had a local music show similar to Soul Train and they would play this song and the kids would start doing that dance where they all lined up and just strutted there stuff...…..good memories there..... this song just oozes that funky groove perfect for dancing.....and this is Led Zeppelin king of heavy metal :)
It was done around 1975. It always reminded me of Sly and the family Stone or something by Billy Preston. This song shows that they were open to a lot of different kinds of music. Long live Zep
Thanks for the awesome Led Zep reaction. How funny that you noted their array and your mentioning funk as well. Trampled Under Foot was primarily written by John Paul Jones as a funk influenced based hard rock tune in ‘74 - 🎯🙌🏼 and released on the Physical Graffiti album in ‘75. (One of the very few Led Zep songs initially released as a single - very rare for them to do.) Houses of the Holy and In My Time of Dying (flaming hot concert version in ‘75 at Earls Court) are probably the most spoken about & played tunes from that album. Hadn’t listened to that one in a while and enjoyed it once again. Keep pulling the Led out for us cause there’s so much more that we can watch you discover by them. Please react to opposite side of Led in concert. A song about folks from opposite sides of the tracks and also about the environment. They were mostly singing about themselves because they caught a lot of flack over their lifestyle/long hair/clothes they wore. I have a memory in my mind of this song. In a bar having a beer with friends, the song came on and a gorgeous hot blonde came up to me, took my hand and said dance with me. This song makes me want to dance. Start of a great night. I will never forget that and the song made it happen.

I had my eyes closed and was enjoying the tunes and when I opened my eyes at 3.40 I saw that we both had our lips pulled in/compressed and nodding in time with each other. That is too cool.
For me,the influences of Led Zeppelin made them what they were.Plus,of course, the special ingredient they added which was themselves.Blues, rock, folk and funk were all mixed in there somewhere and the end result was this band could do anything it wanted.Enjoyed the vid and reaction,I'll watch again.Good luck.
This is off their 6th album Physical Graffiti. It’s also a double LP. Lots of amazing tunes. In My Time of Dying and Kashmir are both killer off this album.
Great reaction! Zeppelin were so amazingly talented, and versatile (as you point out). This song was inspired by Stevie Wonder's Superstition (which came out in '72) about 3 years before this track.
@Leon Anderson As I recall, vinyl albums in 1975 ranged from $3.99 to $5.99. Double albums were usually $7.99 to $9.99. I remember lucking out in Woolworth's bargain basement one day in the summer of 1975. They were selling certain over-stocked Beatles albums for 99 cents, like "Let It Be," "Yellow Submarine," "Hey Jude." Wotta bargain!
@Leon Anderson I know $3.99 sounds cheap for an album today, but that $4 in 1975 had the same buying power that $20 has today. The minimum wage in 1975 was $2.10 an hour. I collected vinyl albums for about 25 years and when I sold the collection in 1992 I had close to 2,000 records. I got about $700 for all of them. I don't miss them. They were a real pain in the ass every time I moved.
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU for having the gnads to play this tune. From the double meaning lyrics about sex and cars to that funky heavy groove. All the UA-cam reactors blow right past the Physical Graffitti album except for Kashmir they ignore one of Zeps best albums. This song is EVERYTHING Zeppelin is and you even mentioned that yourself. Don’t forget to play THE ROVER Or CUSTARD PIE off this same album. You won’t regret it!
hahahahahaha.... ive been meaning to get around to custard pie but knowing how Robert plants mind adn lyrics usually go, I know hes not talking about an actual Custer pie, lol.
"Trampled Under Foot" is from the album 'Physical Graffiti' released in 1975. It is considered Led Zeppelin's finest studio album. It is also a double LP album. Other funky songs from this album are "Custard Pie", "The Rover", and "The Wanton Song". A great Gospel Blues cover/rendition song from this album is "In My Time Of Dying" originally called "Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed" recorded in 1927 by Musician/Preacher Blind Willie Johnson. Led Zeppelin also did a cover/rendition of another Blind Willie Johnson song "It's Nobody's Fault But Mine" also from 1927 renamed "Nobody's Fault But Mine" on their album 'Presence' released in 1976. Also on the album 'Presence' is another great Blues song by Led Zeppelin called "Tea For One".
Smoked my first joint just before I heard this album - I won't say how old I was - but we started young in the '70s. This was the peak of Zep's creative output in a double-album dose with a lot of great music. They had moved beyond the blues form into more hard-driving rock, but this set also had some epic long songs that take you on a dramatic emotional and musical journey - Ten Years Gone By, In the LIght, and Kashmir.
On the way to Page & Plant basically reunion tour , my wife & I said we hoped to hear this song. They opened up with it. Omg the crowd literally jumped up and it was On! They & Pink Floyd were heads & shoulders above everyone else live.
Zeppelin did it all. Funk, rock, blues, and don't forget their ascoustic/folk side too. I personally love their acoustic songs more than anything else. Songs like "Tangerine," "That's the way" and "The Rain song."
@@pumasgoya no! I mean REGGAE!! If you look back on their influences, Funk, Blues Fo So!! And Reggae!! Although an Argument could be made for Calypso on Fool in the Rain!!

1975 double album, Physical Graffiti! I heard it for the first time, this very song, on WMMS the BUZZARD radio station, in Cleveland Ohio, sitting on the afternoon middle school bus with my little am/fm radio. I was speechless and blown away. I ran over to my friends house, who had older brothers and sisters and begged to play the song on a big stereo system. They were all laughing at me how desperate I was. That afternoon I heard for the first time ZOSO, and Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti, all in on sitting. I got to stay for dinner and listened to them again. I had been baptized into Rock. Up and until then I was listening Pop stations and K-Tel albums. I grew up four years in one afternoon. A cousin to Trampled Underfoot is the song Houses of Holy on the same album.
A blues masterpiece called When The Levee Breaks will mesmerise you. Its haunting and thrilling at the same time. Led Zeppelin's music NEVER gets old.(as you will find out)
Trouble-free transmission! - A powerhouse track with a tremendous riff drive from 1975. Structured and mixed to give a rewarding conquering soundscape. It's hard to keep still as the machine-like power vibe takes you over. You just have to add volume and find yourself doing nothing else for the track duration. Sound engineering credit in evidence to those involved. Led Zeppelin fun fact: The 8th Street and St. Mark's Place, New York building fascia was used for the Physical Graffiti album cover with some editing to fit the 12x12 inch vinyl record packaging. Thanks for uploading - Liked.
Dont forget their orient/east/arab music, english folk, kelt music, medvial music influences...... They are indeed eclectic band of very talented individuals! With sexy, mistical lyrics and pure pasion joy and magic! ❤️☮️🍄

Please react to Ten Years Gone off same album PG
One of my favorites
Best Zep song!
Do Zep tune Baby Come On Home. It is so bluesy and soulful. You will be blown away
Best concerts too... my favorite band... I am so grateful I got see them perform many times
This is off their 6th album Physical Graffiti. It’s also a double LP. Lots of amazing tunes. In My Time of Dying and Kashmir are both killer off this album.
In my time of dying
Fool in the rain , great song
Yes! 😊 Few if any reactions to this one for some reason. Excellent choice! 👍
My favorite LZ song and I am 58 years old. You should see it live on the LZ DVD. It really kicks ass. Thanks very much sir.
If you want the opposite direction on the same album try in my time of dying, powerful musically and emotionally
Just subscribed on the news you’ll be reviewing more Zeppelin soon. Looking forward to it.
yea, i've already got some other zepp videos under my belt and my wife does kick ass reactions to them as well.ua-cam.com/video/b_EeLc20JZM/v-deo.html
Zep is blues, funk, rock, punk, country, metal ...You have music in your soul brother..
Love that beginning riff.. one of my fave Led Zep songs..👌
Great reaction! Zeppelin were so amazingly talented, and versatile (as you point out). This song was inspired by Stevie Wonder's Superstition (which came out in '72) about 3 years before this track.
Ten Years Gone, a must...then again every Zep song’s a must🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Yea man rarely heard track on a reaction video. Zeppelin has so much more to offer than just the popular tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good analysis-on-the-fly, TNT.
1975,a great year for music
1975 was almost TOO GOOD for music. I was 17 and couldn't afford all the albums I wanted to buy.
@Leon Anderson As I recall, vinyl albums in 1975 ranged from $3.99 to $5.99. Double albums were usually $7.99 to $9.99. I remember lucking out in Woolworth's bargain basement one day in the summer of 1975. They were selling certain over-stocked Beatles albums for 99 cents, like "Let It Be," "Yellow Submarine," "Hey Jude."
Wotta bargain!
This THE song that hooked me as a rabid fan for life! No other band will EVER match them!
"i haven't heard a bad one yet" - - - because there aren't any bad ones
TRU
When you make 99 out of 100 songs nasty AF.
Zeppelin did it all. Funk, rock, blues, and don't forget their ascoustic/folk side too. I personally love their acoustic songs more than anything else. Songs like "Tangerine," "That's the way" and "The Rain song."
This song always blows my mind!
It’s impossible not to groove to this song
Yeah!! And after a while, they get into their REGGAE mode with "FOOL in the RAIN"!
Reggae? You mean Calypso and Salsa.
@@pumasgoya no! I mean REGGAE!! If you look back on their influences, Funk, Blues Fo So!! And Reggae!! Although an Argument could be made for Calypso on Fool in the Rain!!
I just discovered you. And you insight is awesome. Also one of the best rock bands ever. 🙏🏼
Greatest Blues band ever, that could play rock better than most.
All 4 talented👍👍👍
This is one of my favourties Led Zeppelin songs

Hey Hey What Can I Do
By Led Zeppellin
Dude I read everything! I love engaging with my subs! Especially the Zep fans. I'm loving their music.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT That's good to know... I just subscribed to your channel.
Greetings from
Southern California.
Cool. I was born in San diego.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT Really... You were born in San Diego?
'Cause I was also born in San Diego!
Where you live now?
Don't tell me you left Sunny Southern California.
This song always reminds of Baptist church rhythm. Catching the holy ghost in the aisle style beat
One of my favorite, upbeat Zep tunes... This is a rocker! Loved your reaction. See Robert Johnson - Terraplane Blues for Plant's lyrical inspiration? Peace! Cheers!!!!
Led Zeppelin's music NEVER gets old.(as you will find out)
you rock! thank you for the channel!
Totally diverse - great 👍🏼 tune - great album it’s on!!!!
35 years ago that was my fav album, loved it each side had a different feel.
Dont forget their orient/east/arab music, english folk, kelt music, medvial music influences...... They are indeed eclectic band of very talented individuals! With sexy, mistical lyrics and pure pasion joy and magic! ❤️☮️🍄
Check out "Kashmir- live at Celebration day" amazing perfomance
