i loved every minute of this build setup talk video Brian as its always a learning curve however which way you look at it and its much appreciated , hey i too slammed into some tree's a while back doing a turn in a park thought i was a lot closer than i was and as i turned i skimmed the plane so well it actually was hanging in the tree and to my disbelief when went to see the damage all it had was a small indent where a branch had made contact wit the right wing and was not anything to be alarmed about and kept flying . Im so glad too as the Durafly Tundra 1200 V2 is one of my goto planes , off the beach sand, or off the park land it is a fun model and i think i may even go the grand tundra or something similar or bigger thanks again Brian and Meghan a you both get me wanting to grab a model and go fly so for that i am very grateful, 🙂 thanks again
Dude!😂 that was great! I did the same.thing with my draco last year. Just a bigger plane than i was used to and i thought it was closer than it really was and i clipped my electric fence during a beautiful sunset final approach 🤣. I lost a 6S 8000mah battery and had extensive repairs to the cabin glass and main gear. Oh well. It happens buddy. I picked up the replacement parts i needed and my draco looks about 90-95%. Good enough for me and looks mint in the air. The fox will run again 😉
Yep, larger than usual model makes the trees look to be in a different position than you might otherwise expect. This was exactly what happened. Still was fun to watch happen ;)
Just bought this plane thru your link! Thank you for the entertainment! It was out of stock yesterday.....They hooked me like a trout! I suspect it was a market scheme. ;-) People are putting FPV in these things!!!!.......What are the chances you might think adding FPV to a Fox 3000 would be video worthy of your time?
If I did, I wouldn't share it, since I can't share it without a Part 107 ;( Yes, it's soooooooo dumb, but I don't want the FAA to come after me for some technicality...
Hey Brian👋🏻 First of all ,like usually you have make a great build up video 👌 I’ve purchased the „non Reflex V2 version „ and because of that among other reasons I bought also the Spektrum AR637T receiver for it. However ,it seems that I got accidentally the fox 3M version with the reflex V2 unit well I won’t complain about this accident.. But now I’m forced to take a decision…Would it makes sense to deinstall the Reflex V2 Unit and let the stabilization runs over the AR637T ,or should I try to deactivate the stabilization on my receiver and connect it to the reflex gyro? For my understanding it would makes more sense to run my receiver without the reflex unit, because as you mentioned in this video the stabilization of the AR637T seems in your opinion to work even slightly better that the FMS Reflex V2 and I’m a little concerned about experience some disturbances if I would run them together even it would been possible to deactivate the ASX and Safe features of the Spektrum receiver… Anyway I would feel much more comfortable about this decision after acknowledging your opinion ! It would be awesome if you could tell me your thoughts about my case 👍 Wish your family and yourself a nice Xmas time and keep going your awesome videos here on UA-cam
