High abundance doesn’t necessarily decrease price, just take diamonds for example, they aren't that rare but they still cost a lot (and, conveniently, each individual one will lose value after you buy it and try to resell it.)

All Vilgax wanted to do when blowing petropia up was bost scarcity. I would think there might be a diminished value if the petrosapien crystals don't actually last long after they are generated. But seeing constructs remain well after diamond head returns to normal makes me doubt that. Perhaps he means that it has little value amongst other petrosapiens given they can all create it? It'd ve like the equivalent of selling breath. Maybe there were so few amongst the stars before and after their extinction aliens among the Galaxy simply haven't commonly agreed upon the minerals value?

I guess the reason why it's valueless is because it's kinda forcing Petrosapian to be slaves to create these crystals. Another explanations I can see is that their compounds are different due to many circumstances. After all, one is literally a walking shiny rock and Taydonite is presumably made from regular ore chucks that's not gonna be a walking shiny rock and thus is better to procure without triggering any rights and laws. Another thing to mention is that one episode where Kevin is absorbing Taydonite forcefully by Vulkanus. While yes, that episode itself can cause a lot of questions, the crystal itself does force Kevin to touch it so...there you go I guess. (And weirdly enough Vulkanus has Grandpa Max's message to Ben so...there's another question). Great video, always love the theory that racks my noodle.

Great video; also to help further help the pricing thing copper is a incredibly common material and at the same time is still expensive due to just how important it is for multiple different uses. A good question would be if the reason it’s not seem much in universe is cause the Petrosapians have historically scalped the shit out of the prices.
Some other functions for Petrosapien crystals (P-C) I came up with. The military is a big economic part of most countries. They would be highly interested in that stuff! Ultra light but resistant to heat, cold AND pressure? Bullet-resistant vest-plates made of P-C would be insane, even withstanding the heat of lasers. Or weapons for that matter, we have seen what Diamondhead is capable of so imagine adding sci-fi tech to that. Or swiss army knifes out of pure P-C, the tools would never have to be sharpened or polished. Or for that matter, any steel tool coated in a layer of P-C would be perfect. A hammer for example would still have enough weight to accumulate enough force, but also be much more durable when working with hot metals.

The crystals still remain even after Ben turns back to human. In Alien Force the crystals that he used to pummel Vilgax were still there in the ending. The Plumbers pretty much clean up the remains of his crystals.

Please remmeber when considering diamond prices that they are massively artificially inflated. Only abou 4% of diamonds mined are released into the market, creating artificial scarcity. In addition artificial diamonds, despite being superior in a lot of ways, are far less valuable for arbitrary reasons and should probably be used as a more accurate idea of what the value of diamonds actually is.
In the Ben 10 universe, people eat artificial Tiffin flavoured food. That would be like selling human-flavoured food, so I don't see the difference tbh
