Great vid, thanks very useful. Luckily this model has standard non-proprietary PSU to motherboard connectors. I've seen vids where some models have weird 6 pin connections to the motherboard.

Bit overkill, no? You can't OC the CPU with this board, so the better cooler is just wasted money.
Would've made more sense to jerry rig a front fan for better intake, maybe drill ventilation for it.
The PSU is also extremely expensive and any 500W is more than enough for an RX 580. Kind of defeats the purpose of a budget build, if you're upgrading office components with extremely expensive peripherals.

Hi, I have the same computer and I want to upgrade to a i7 6700 6th gen. Do I need to use an aftermarket CPU cooler like the one you used to use this upgraded CPU?. Or could I live with the stock heatsink that came with the computer?. Thanks

What are the more specific details on the PSU? I've been having trouble finding better psus that fit for this and also many optiplex towers including the mts.
450w Corsair(cx450m) psu is more than enough for this setup, I don't understand the reason off adding bigger wattage psu than needed! also replacing the stock cpu fan is waste of money, I have the same setup with i7 6700 stock fan, 32gb ram, 1tb pcie x4 to nvmw, and the beast RTX3060.
Hey, did yours come with the 300w psu originally instead of 180w? If yours did, do you know/remember if there are any pcie power connector on it?
@@fakhrimub6760 I have 2x 490 G3 both came with 300w PSU and no there is no PCIe connectors on the stock PSU

@@fakhrimub6760 No problem, you can use that but with older gen GPU like GTX9xx or even GTX10xx but not with any AMD or RTX cards... otherwise that PSU will explode and might cause damage for all other equipment's, buying new 400 or 500 or even 700 watt PSU that comes with pcie cable isn't expensive, average cost like 30 bucks, so it doesn't worth buying adapter and the risk.
That's a very great point, I think my mind underplayed the risk because I've seen linustechtips did it. Also I've gotta ask some question again, how is the airflow of the chassis? You mentioned having 3060 in it, how's the temps?
I am doin this rn, and this USB 3.0 connector location pissed me off. Do you think angled 90° adapter will work?

Good morning. Sorry for the late answer. I haven't check if this mb can be installed in another case. The dimension will not be a problem, but the backplate connections maybe they are upside down.
does this motherboard support the xmp option, so yes where can i find it in the bios because i just cant find it and im afraid this mb doesnt support the xmp

Good morning. You can install cards that fit inside the box. For example Gigabyte RTX 2060 super, Zotac GTX 1070, 1080 mini, Zotac RTX 2070 mini.

You should check the dimension of the card first. If it fits yes you can install it.

Good evening. You must install a low profile GPU card equal to your installed PSU. If you want better PSU with much more Watt then I think is a difficult task and expensive and you must find the same size.

I think u forgot to connect the usb 2 front panel cable in it’s port beside usb 3 port under graphics card.
Good evening. Yes there is a usb 2 connector on mb but not for front panel ports. Front panel ports are USB 3. There is no cable available to connect from Pc case. If someone wants to connect extra usb 2 ports in the back of the case or change the front panel ports, he/she can use this port.

its not worth upgrading the cpu if youre planning to use the rx580 since i5 6600 is already enough for it. because even if u upgrade it will only be a slight increase in performance. if u really do want to upgrade just upgrade the whole mobo,cpu and gpu.@@ami443

not really a dodgy card. some card is the same quality but by different manufacturer so it have different dimension. for example,the one in the video uses the gigabyte rx 580 which is a bit shorter than the msi armor rx 580 oc. but they both still provide the same performance,just different cooler. this just depends on what asthethic u want or which manufacturer u trust or like.

How is the power supply ventilation fan inside the case, seems like there is no ventilation for the power supply with a big fan
The PSU that I have used has the option of 0db button and when pressing it the PSU fan spins at all times. I have this option turned off and the fan spins when it is needed.

But as you can see I managed to install a more powerful GPU card than the ones that the links suggest.
