Just want to clear up something you said; the purpose of the Mythic Dawn assassinating Uriel Septim VII and all his heirs was to extinguish the Dragonfires.
By doing so, Nirn was vulnerable to a Daedric Invasion. That’s why in Oblivion, we try and help Martin get back to the Imperial City to relight the Fires. However, Mehrunes Dagon had already come and by then it was too late to relight them.
Side note; Martin’s sacrifice, *technically,* made it no longer necessary for Tamriel to be ruled by a Dragonborn. But perhaps it’s still up for debate.

Plausible, but I wouldn't count on it. Maybe not a direct successor, but maybe a distant relative.
I mean, all of his descendants were murdered... but sure, one could have the head cannon they’d some secret hidden son like Martin
