- Blind playthrough of Devil May Cry 5 free DLC Bloody Palace 101 floors. Bloody Palace is a survival horde mode with bosses every 20 floors. Really fun to play but exhausting as you get closer to the end. I honestly want to record this again now that I know enemy and boss encounters, but I guess I should move on to Dante. Props to anyone who completes this, it's a real grind :)
Nero:
Melee: Triangle
Gun: R2
Jump: X
Devil Breaker: L1
Devil Bringer: Square (This isn't optimal for Nero. Use L1 and remap breaker)
Break Away: Circle
Change Target: L3
Lock on : R1
Exceed: L2
Reset Camera: R3
Devil Trigger: D-pad (ANY)
Hey SMVR I don't think this question was asked but do you know if there is an option to disable the timer? I would like to have the option of just taking my time while fighting through the levels. I believe DMC3 did that. Does anyone know?
Not sure. I'll pin and maybe someone knows
DMC3 actually didn't have disabled time feature because a timer for Bloody Palace was never implemented in it until DMC4. DmC had a disable time feature for it though, but I'm not sure if they had implemented disabling time in DMC5 Bloody Palace (especially since I don't have the game yet)
For now, no.
I search for it and ask some friends and no, don't worry maybe someone can make a mod for that.

I'm glad capcom decided to give dmc5 the option to suspend bloody palace, I love a good gauntlet but doing it straight for two hours is tiring not to mention I got other stuff to do.

This. I only used to be able to make it about halfway because my hands would start giving out. Now I can make it to floor 90 over the course of a couple of nights.
This suspend shit is totaly useless. When you save it and then power is down, you lost saved data.

the bloody palace really helps you understand the differences between Dante, Vergil, and Nero in terms of sword style and fighting techniques.
Dante is finesse, skill, showing off, and a little brute force.
Vergil is pure skill, finesse, and all his power is used in skillful, precise, and ruthless execution of his enemies.
Nero is pure power and brute force. Unrefined, unskilled, but it sure as hell gets the job done. He brings the pain and doesn't care how cool he looks while getting said job done!

If you look for raw damage nothing beats Dante. Take the gauntlet and kill many enemies under 5 sec... dragon punch is the way !

You mean devil bringer and devil breaker. Devil Bringer was his original demonic arm. Initially was nerfed. Once he re-awake devil bringer and gains acces to the complete devil trigger.....he can use again buster, devil buster, snatch(original), devil snatch, grab(a power obtained from Credo...can use enemies as human shields), charge shot, maximum bet, showdown and his own triple jump plus raid skill(compared to Dante....he dont need stay transformed for triple jump plus the raid)

@@SmvR not sure if this is already asked but how do you cancel attacks like split, double down, or calibur in mid-air after the attack hit so you can keep comboing?
@@ridwanrf6074 not sure if you found the answer yet but hes been jumping off of enemies to cancel the lag off his attacks and to keep him in the air longer to keep hos combos going

360p or 1080p......the gameplay is still fire as always so I'll watch regardless and gone watch it again anyways when the 1080p version is up. Can wait for the Donte playthrough also saw your comment about Sekiro. Still would like to see your gameplay walkthrough, but will wait for it until you get the time to put it out. But keep the videos coming will watch whatever you put out, cause you play games like nobody I've ever seen before. And it pushes me to master games the way you do.

Wow, they really blew the Nero combat out of the park with DMC5. Really brought up to the point where it can stand proudly with Dante
This just makes me sad there's no co-op Bloody Palace. Imagine how fun that shit would be.
Imagine Nero and V teaming up against a boss and they both fire their huge laser beams at the same time, finishing it off. Or Dante and Vergil fighting against the floor with 3 Furies and they're all just anime teleporting all over the screen. The amount of replay value there would be insane dude.
I know, such a huge missed opportunity.... It's still an incredible game, but a refined multiplayer would have made it nearly perfect.

I actually watched almost the entire thing because it was that good but then I realized I gotta study.
Amazing play as it's blind walkthrough. It took me 10 stages to realize that only taking buster arm and ragtime helps my clearspeed a lot. DBringer's buster dmg is much lower than Buster Arm. Looking forward to your optimized play strategy, and Dante playthrough as well.

@@Sutchii_ buster attacks from the devil bringer AND the arm can be used to counter or interrupt the attacks of a lot of enemies, so i think the idea of making the BringerBuster weaker than the BreakerBuster is that you have it all the time so that you can always counter things reliably for lower damage if you don't want to stock Buster Arm all the time.
@@TheLegendaryZed Yeah, I think they want players to use the damage burst (charged DBreaker buster) wisely. Extra damage on bosses but cost one breaker.

Dude is there any way to consistently dodge 2nd urizens green spear things? I keep getting caught by them.
Try dodging toward them instead. The tentacle spears are having a harder time catching you because they can't turn 360°.

@@severinoden7709 it's not hard cause only certain levels of it put up a challenge. 2 hours of constant fighting can make people a bit comfortable and mistakes can happen. Chances are you mostly play your main in the bloody palace also making it easier.

Well that was an incredibly ominous ending.
For me Dante is the easiest char for bloody palace. Gauntlets brute power is unmatched. Single well landed dragon punch can kill almost anything and does incredible damage to bosses. Trickster and royal guard practically makes you immortal and I love Dante being so op...

I feel like to do a No-Damage Bloody Palace run with Nero is next to impossible because he doesn't have Royal Guard like Dante, no raw power in slashing enemies like Vergil, no flashy moves/dodges, and also no nuke damage.
When going through the triple Urizen fight, a good cheese/glitch tactic could be adopted with the Buster devil breaker. On level 99 fighting Uirzen in the throne room, If you manage to get his health low enough where one breakage move from the Buster devil arm can finish him off, you get to save that Buster arm even after using breakage on him. This is probably due to the game only breaking this arm after its animation finishes, but level 99 ends immediately after you kill him, so there was no time for the arm to enter the breaking stage
Can only do this on 99 though, since level 100 does have a few seconds of break time after you kill the boss
So if you want to Buster both Urizen and Vergil you will have to get two bustert arms, this glitch can only save one extra use.

Am I wrong for always mapping Attack to Square? Triangle has never felt natural to me and ive tried again and again but i keep falling back to square
Depends on the character honestly.
Square is fine for attack, if you can jump cancel with this setup then it's good.
The whole point of being able to remap controls is for player freedom. So if that’s what you like go for it.
You are only wrong if it is uncomfortable for you to play like this
I use square in DMC3 just for jump cancel tactics. But this game I cant seem to jump cancel very efficiently so I just use the default. But I do map Blue Rose to R2 for consistent gun attacks.

Back in the day, SmvR didn't know exceed caused the Furies to instantly teleport away, so he had a hard time dealing with them.
Also used back-forward for parrying
welp, no point in me playing it, then. this guy already did everything i could ever hope to do, and it'd take me a fuck ton more practice to even get my exceed working right, lol.

how are you this GOOD with nero?! i been playing with him for WEEKS! did human mode for achievement and finished all modes devil hunter, SoS and even DMD with him. and been doing bloody palace with him for maybe over 30 hours. but i died like 15 times, only NOW 5 minutes ago i managed to beat bloody palace for the first time! but i used his super character... (lost once) and you did it... with normal nero... i died 13 times as normal nero. (his my favorite and still)

@@OcarinaOfTime super character is when you beat the game, you unlock ultimate Nero:you get unlimited devil trigger and his ex gauge never depletes.
How do you charge shots and do sick ads combos at the same time? Did you button map it or are you "clawing" your controller?

Do you have to keep spamming L2 to keep the sword on fire? As a casual fan I found that kinda annoying but me not beeing good at timing it was probably the reason I felt like Nero did too little damage
exceed is Nero's core mechanic: not only you deal less damage but also your attacks are slower. Yeah you need to time your exceed after every sword swing. Its just about muscle memory, comes with a practice.

I know this may be a stupid question but how do you always keep blue rose charged with out holding a button ??
He probably remapped it to a trigger like L2 or R2. You can easily hold it down while doing other things with that button layout.
Ty Wilson is that the only way? I think itks kind of stupif to hold down a button for ever just somu can use its power every now and then

I'm 1 hour and 20 mins in this video, couldn't help but notice you rarely use tomboy, I've only seen you use it once prior to this video, on your 6 hour video of the story mode. Is there something about it in particular or are the other breakers better?

Are you able to get to a certain floor, quit, and then continue from that floor at a later time? This looks fun and challenging but I don't think I could handle 101 floors in one sitting. That's madness.
you can suspend the the stage you on for the game, but once you start a new mission, save data lost, you have to start over
