[8:00] "What I enjoy the most about working on a tactical SCP game is that we don't have to make compromises on the tactical gameplay, but rather imagine how modern tactics would be applied in a reality-defying scenario. Say, how would seal-team-six fight off a creature that is impervious to conventional weaponry? Can they fight it, or do you have to contain it, or avoid it altogether?"
It's asking these questions that make SCP magical. The desire to wonder about how to interact with the entities that exist in the SCP setting, human or otherwise. With a tactical shooter, you need to play smart. With an SCP game, you need knowledge regarding what you're facing. Both are surprisingly similar and combining the two creates an experience where intelligence is greatly rewarded. I'm looking forward to this game being more than the sum of its parts.
SCP Projects in the past have been underwhelming, to say the least. But after seeing your dedication to realistic firearms, PANDEMIC has taken a high place on my list of upcoming games.
I hope they include really unique gameplay and enemies, and ones that aren’t limited to the whole pandemic thing. I’ve been imagining a highly realistic SCP mobile task force game for a long time and this could be it
You can clearly tell from this video that you guys are passionate about what you do. Please keep this going, it’s definitely gonna pay off and blow up.

God… damn! You guys pitched that like salesmen at a fortune 500. The only difference is that you have amazing showcases and concise explanations for each of these amazing features. You really used “show don’t tell” to present these hard-earned and important details. I think I started following the project when I first saw a post mentioning it on the SCP reddit page. Keep up the good work. Fucking fantastic.
Cant wait, the sewer sistem and the mp7 looks dope, i hope you added the magnum as well. I might re-stream this game, i had a lot of fun playing it.

Are you considering adding SCP-127? ("The Living Gun" appears to be an MP5K-PDW but its insides are organic, makes organic sounds, and shoots and regenerates tooth-like bullets.)

Sadly enough this isn’t going to get console Adaptation but who knows Maybe one day I’m praying that this gets popular enough to be put on the new consoles🙏🏼🙏🏼 love the hard work and passion that’s going into this game!❤

I saw this on steam a month ago and wishlisted it. Really good game so far, love this information! I will 100% get this. Also I love how you added weight, most games treat guns like they are not heavy. Really adds to the 1000000/10 realism. Best SCP a game I’ve seen, as a scp expert… 10 watermelons out of 5 grapes!

The way the guns are made with handling I like. It makes it more strategic and would mean depending on your build you would have a specific role whether it be a range, rusher, Default Assault, ETC. I like it a lot.

I 100% love Ready or Not and Insergency, so I'm really looking forward to your groups growth! I've been really wanting a insergency horror game and with the imense story potential of SCP there is really something to look forward to!

The one thing that I would like to see is some variation to the running animations of the zombies (forgot SCP name), maybe something along the lines of making different movement animations then having them be applied randomly to spawned zombies.
Another thing would be armored/security zombies but as you talked about AP and such, I think you’ll have that covered.
Just wanted to throw out a few ideas!

I got the Omni Package/Edition a few weeks ago. I’m enjoying the game so far, I think it just needs better optimization. Imagine my surprise and hype when I saw the VSS Vintorez and the AS Val when I booted up the tutorial.
Also, a quick question. Will this game, similar to SCP Fractured Minds, also be on the Xbox Series X or, to an certain extent, Game Pass sometime in the future?
The VSS is an interesting choice for an SCP game. Not what I expected in terms of gun choice. Soviet guns in what I assumed was an America centralized game was a pleasant surprise.
@@alexmark6580 the VSS Vintorez basically saved me in S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky at the Limansk Bridge before the Clear Sky faction stormed the actual Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant itself and ever since then, it's been one of my go-to weapons in most games I play. Same goes for the AS Val if I need to Rush B and get clean headshots in close-quarters.

@@alexmark6580 I might give Anomaly another shot sometime soon. I usually play the vanilla games coz sometimes installing mods don't end well for me, but I'll give Anomaly another go soon.

The biggest thing that could bring many people to this game is having intelligent AI. Using goal oriented action planning or HTN planning in a way that makes the enemies feel real will cement your game as a contender to others in the genre.

Game just needs more time in the oven, specially the AI and their animations. Take L4D for instance, just moving side to side and slightly off a straight line helps.
L4D also has one of the best monster reaction animations out there
Without it being a horde shooter taking inspiration from L4D just for the monsters, grunts, and anomalies, it would really make the game feel more set in reality.
How a lot of the zombies were animated was with a real stunt performer to react to different bullet impacts from different areas and speeds/actions, they would then be influenced by rag doll physics during this, the other thing is that they would react to different parts of terrain, slamming into a wall from running too fast, tripping over slight bumps in the ground, etc.
A second thing inspired more by a very niche game that I literally forgot the name of, enemies reacting to loud sudden sounds or stunning an enemy due to how you configured your weapon, different major configurations to a weapon would cause it less to be a weapon and more of a utility. Cutting almost the entire barrel off your rifle would cause it to do minuscule damage but temporarily disorient the enemy. (I’ll probably make a mod for that once it fully releases, I’d really like a customization overhaul although I probably should just do it myself since it’s so niche.)

UA-cam ad got me here and I just love the hype for a better game mechanics and an improve graphics for future to come.
I always want to try and help out with stuff like this with my menial knowledge in some of this stuff (and vast knowledge of guns lol), but i never figure out how. So I'll go ahead and start with something realllly small. Could you add caps to the end of railing prefabs to hide the fact that there is nothing on the inside? Its very small but it'd help lots with immersion, not seeing inside objects.

I haven't been too much of a fan of SCP games, however after seeing this I might be sold.
a costom armor system would be cool too, so say you know there are chaos insurgents in the mission, you'd wear more balistic armor, or if there were more biteing and clawing enemies you'd bring heavy fabrics and polymers
i know this is a wierd question but do you think we could get the insurgancy commander in this game as the tl maybe
1.call in recruits [they will act as a 2nd squad of ai units that will help protect the team as a rear guard]
2.Guardpost setup [a fireteam will join your mission and setup a checkpoint/outpost]
3. helo support [outside only]
4.engineering kit [a player not the sl can use this to build blockades and basic defenses like games like squad]

NO WAY THIS IS CRAZY BRO, one thing though you should seriously reconsider how enemies use pathing to get to you and kill you, it just feels so unnatural, if u want to have a good pathing "example", you can look at movies but i think some thing like a group of wild dogs attacking hyena's (yes they are different things)

not sure if anyone on your team is aware of it but the doom mod hideous destructor does some really interesting things with firearms in a tactical shooter not to forget one of the most interesting medical systems i've seen yet in a FPS. might be something to look at if you want some inspiration.

8:26 I have to take my comments for the video as a whole and pause for a moment because when I ran into this section in game I loved it it was just a good giggle just seeing the zombies with little party hats coming at you was something else
as for my actual comments regarding the video and SCP pandemic as a whole one word and one word only will describe how I feel about all this.... HYPED! as for a more detailed analysis I love where the minds of the developers are going in this game because they're literally just asking what would happen if this was actually happening and how would we have to deal with it and I love that also on part one [ m.ua-cam.com/video/96wrfMlJRYw/v-deo.html ] which is currently unavailable by any other means has me so incredibly excited to tactically crap myself when being chased by all manner of horrors down hallways and in offices and many other places
All in all Affray you're doing a wonderful job keep up the dedication the hard work and most importantly the joy in what you are doing if you lose the inspiration and joy you will lose what it means to be a game developer you don't need to worry to heavily about your community if you're genuinely enjoying what you're making I'm sure the community will enjoy it too I have a very minor experience in that because I myself am developing a terraria mod with a few other people and I have to say keep the joy
This is a complement. In my opinion MW 2019 has my favorite gunplay (animations and sounds), this gunplay rivals it.
I have been a fan of the entire SCP universe and this is very much like the Stalker universe in a sense the sense off feeling and immersion I am a audio creator/designer and would be wondering if you are needing or looking for more audio creators for the project ?

God I hope this game has truly evolved since last time I played it. I gave it a shot a few months back and it was an utter mess. Janky movement and shooting, most servers had high ping, the only playable mission had absolutely no context and gave you no direction on what to do or where to go, so you'd just end up running around like an idiot for 20 minutes until you opened the right door, or solved a puzzle that nobody told you existed. Months ago this game was refundable quality, so God please tell me that this game actually is making good progress since my last experience.
At first, I thought this was some bullshit but now I'm hyped for this games release. Good luck with it, I'll buy it once its mostly developed (seems like another year?)
I have a personal opinion: the reload animations are great but i think they should be kind of faster pace, considering the operators are in a life and death situation, they should reload with more sense of urgence. Great video btw

Can't wait for there to be no enemies, and I am stuck having to fight the floor based on reactionary stimuli, where a complex matter occurs of gear management/disposal, and my own logistics to make or break survival, let alone how I may fight or contain such an anomaly that the planar element of the floor has become SCP.

Harder to control as in moving it around? Because if the front of the gun is heavier it should make the recoil even lower.
Harder to control as in sway/lagging behind, recoil will actually be reduced slightly :)

How do you switch between sights? The controls in the game don't tell me that, and neither do any website or anyone online... I can't use my acog with a redot on the side.....

So something I’m curious to ask and I’ve seen nowhere is that I could of swore the operators had Global Occult Coalition patches on them but now it’s whited out. I ask because fuck yeah GOC finally getting some real decent representation but I’m gonna assume y’all had to remove it due to the rules regarding how you can use SCP material when monetized so would that be a correct assumption? Aside from that this game honestly has me hyped and I really hope y’all make it with this unique take!

Insurgency is and always has been my favorite fps and is one of the most underrated games in the genre. I can tell just how much it inspired this and it really catches my attention.
Will this be available on PS4?
I know it's a small part of the game's development, but I would like to know about the available languages and translations.
Some Brazil reviews on steam are positive and optimistic about the game's development, I'm looking forward to the future development of the game and the availability of translation.
