I love your videos. I’ve always been creative but digital art is fairly new to me. You have helped me to understand how to use Procreate and I couldn’t be happier with the art I’ve made from that!
Thanks so much for another amazing video! Always wanted to ask - why are we using 1500px x 1500px @ 300 dpi? It becomes very pixelated when I zoom in on the flowers
Anything will appear pixelated when you zoom in super close regardless of canvas size, since it's a pixel based program. You should always view things at 100% of the canvas size for indications of pixelation. I use that size because it's ideal for instagram - larger than the standard and a higher resolution, so once posted, the image will always look great at full size 👍
So beautiful and so fun! I have a question about something you mentioned in the video. How do you duplicate and object and then change the color? That would be such a helpful for me to know haha
Its pretty easy! All you have to do after you duplicate your object is to click on the select tool(it looks like an S shaped ribbon), and click on "Automatic". You can also outline the object using the "Freehand" option. Then, just tap or outline your object and go to the color picker and select your color! it sounds super complicated but it gets easier as you get the hang of it. Hope this helps :D
Unfortunately, Procreate removed the 'recolor' option in the latest update. You can either drag the new color on top of the element or create a selection of the element, create a new layer, then fill that new layer. Hoping they bring recolor back!
Gotcha - oh you know what, I think I know what it is - with the new version of Procreate (this was recorded right before 5X came out) if you're drawing the center on the same layer as the flower, when you color fill, it'll fill anything that's on that layer, so you'll need to put the center on its own layer. Annoying and hate that they changed that. Hopefully that does it!
I have no idea why anyone would thumbs down on this or any of your videos. This was so fun and you are a hidden gem!!😘

How did you get it to scribble out the layer name? I can't get it work for me 😫
It's a new feature in iOS14 with Procreate 5X 👍
Teela Cunningham hadn’t updated my iOS yet. Thanks for such great content!

@@EveryTuesday thank you for responding! That stinks!!
@@EveryTuesday I noticed this... I don't remember the method, but I think I duplicated/masked/colored in desired color??
I draw anime digital arts but I can't still seem to create a cute masterpiece as this one.
Please tell me what is the software name
Procreate!
Every time I go to fill in the center of the flower, it fills the whole flower. My circle shape is closed completely. What am I doing wrong?
It could also be the brush you're using. If your brush is not fully opaque, that color can still bleed out through the outline, even if it is closed.
Teela Cunningham it was your brush that you used in the video. Hmmm.
