Your father is adorable - just like you. When you say you were watching the Lone Ranger, please tell me it was the classic with Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels and not the 2013 abomination with Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. The only redeeming thing about that movie was the Utah scenery. Or, worse yet, the 1981 Legend of the Lone Ranger with Klinton Spilsbury (Who?) and Michael Horse.
