A Cameroonian here watching from Cape Town,South Africa. An example of Cameroon Pidgin being mixed with French is where we could say something like "Grandfrere I salute oo". That is "Big brother, I greet you/greetings". Or another example "That my paddyman do go Etas" which is "That my friend has traveled to the US" with "etas" being French for "the States"

MustBe True pidgins are simplified language systems made from an amalgamation of two languages that usually adopts the grammatical and cultural structure of just one of its components. A Creole is a language system that has evolved from a pidgin language to become its own culturally diverse and vibrant system capable of its own independent linguistic change. Usually the major differences come with usage- the more people who speak it, the more likely it will undergo its own cultural movement and adapt things like slang and invention (where people can make up words and they catch on or are semantically intelligible to other speakers). Creoles usually aren't intelligible by the speakers of the languages it came from- for instance, it's hard to understand Haitian Creole is not mutually intelligible with Niger-Congo languages or French-- that's what makes it a creole. However, if you were to use a pidgin, something that maybe only consists of 700 words like Chinese Pidgin English, both Chinese and English speakers could understand a fair chunk of what was being said. A creole can be your mother tongue, but pidgins are second languages commonly to bridge gaps in commercial trade, like Tok Pisin.

@King Kai You do realize that Sierra Leone Krio has Yoruba words mixed in, because most Krios have some Yoruba Ancestry. So that's where they got it from. I've listened to Cameroon and its Salone Krio. Words like una already existed Krio. In those early colonial days. Sierra Leoneans were a lot more influential then you guys. We pretty much traveled and settled all over West Africa.
