As someone who's helped people table at conventions, Doki has zero control over where her booth was placed. The only people who do that are big companies (think Marvel big) who buy out areas near the entrance. The conventions place booths/tables by size and category.
Unfortunately, I do fear that someone will escalate matters and hurt someone at that convention. Too many people react physically when they don't get their way.

Also: You will immediately get your ticket revoked when you come to such conventions with a weapon or pepper spray, especially when you try to hide it. There have been cases where the police was called because somebody literally brought a Katana OUTSIDE it's casing to a convention - which is a violation of a. california state laws and even of US law, as the right to bear arms is about guns - not swords :D

Ask me and it's any weapon is permissible as long as the owner/user is accountable. No prison sentence is going to hold someone accountable for a weapon that kills 6 million or more if miss used, or twice that many wounded. Some of today's top of the line battleships are above that, so you need a two/three/ four ect. person failsafe. Same for nuclear weapons. Any country with a stockpile like the U.S. should have 20 people (to make it safe) that sign off on it to be held accountable.
Same as how a large corp or government can't be held accountable for medial malpractice on scale. Something like 4000 people need to have adverse reactions or malfeasance before the government or corp should be taken out as a start in cleaning up.
Another matter... while you may be thinking this isn't the right spot to debate this, I assure you it is. We already are in a conversation of weather or not you should bring weapons or mace into a convention. I'm to tell you if they don't have armed security then everyone who attends has no hope of defending themselves against an armed assailant. While rare, violence of that amount does happen. We don't live in fairyland.
If you further need convincing, an unarmed group of 20 or so stands as much of a chance against an armed individual as a toddler does against a 7 foot tall grown up. I use common sense, I want both safe.

As someone who's helped people table at conventions, Doki has zero control over where her booth was placed. The only people who do that are big companies (think Marvel big) who buy out areas near the entrance. The conventions place booths/tables by size and category.

I just got a iBuyPower computer for a thousand bucks a few weeks ago.
