The last meet he finished he pulled 835 and had like 880 to his knees. BTW the 835 was sumo the 3rd attempt he pulled conventional. He has became a better all around lifter at 275. His total is up to 2600 and he will go over that in his next meet.
I trained at Westside a bit back in the 90's-my best friend Donnie D. and i used to go down to Columbus and see Mr.Simmons and this guy(Chuck) has the strongest back i've ever seen!!!
I have never seen 1080 move faster than that squat just there. That is unreal strength. I don't care how much gear he has on - unless that bar is on a fucking rocket it isn't going to move faster than that!
I used to squat with a high bar position and an extremely narrow stance and all it gave me was an aching back and knees(I am 6'4). I now squat with a moderate stance and low bar position (an ultra wide stance is dangerous without at least groove breifs and besides it takes years to develope the required hip flexibility and strength) and always use a parallel box in training and now only my thighs are sore after a squat workout.
Well while the rest of this board argues over nonsense NO ONE on here will ever prove, I'm man enough to admit that this dued just OWNED every training session I've ever had in 4 minutes of video footage because I haven't touched any of the top poundages shown here...

ROM simply means range of motion. Training with a narrow, moderate and wide stance is a great method. I have tremendous respect for all lifters I just take issue with the notion that an oly squat is somehow the only "true" squat and that widening your stance is a cop-out.

I mean, look at Chuck, using that gear and doing those quarter squats has led to him having no muscle or power. Just look how skinny he is and shows no muscle physique whatsoever. Tom Platz was built for oly style squats but many arent and would save their knees and back using Louie's methods. As a side note my functional stength is now through the roof (I've fliped a 900lb tire and lifted the back end of a car)! As far as the ROM thing goes if u are a pler and lengthen your ROM u are only going 2 wind up getting handed defeats. This is just stuff that has worked for me so far, don't know what works for u. Half them squats were 100% 3 reds. Hip joint absolutely did not break the knee cap. But they gave him 3 whites cause it was at westside. Imagine that. Just like Dave Hoffs bullshit world record squat and total. Or when he had something stuffed in his shirt to shorten his bench stroke.
Fitter542 the BOTTOM of the hip has to break parallel not the top like in raw. Multi ply rules are different because it’s nearly impossible to go below parallel with that much gear. Plus all of these videos where taken from the front
these guys only do box squates in practice, they dont do normal ones outside of competition. Louie Simmons who trains these guys feels that a guy that can squat 900 would be useless to do noraml squat with a bunch of weight, so they do only box squat for explosion and always have bands or chains

Yea It was Vlad Alazhov. He has 2 total knee replacements and now is one of few to squat 1100 raw with Knee wraps.
