The sights you have taken us to in the Phoenix area are so pretty, thanks!! I don't know why some folks seem to think the rules do not apply to them. I don't suppose the officer at the very least issued a ticket to the drone person?
I love seeing all the interesting places you go and that rock formation is extremely interesting. Makes my photographer’s heart jump with joy. I reallllllllyyy need to come to Arizona! I bet that place is crowded from morning til night! Are there lots of snakes on the trails and in the desert?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot...
This is literally downtown the 5th largest city in the country. There’s an airport, university and baseball stadium next to this rock. Look at a map and you’ll see how much pure wilderness there is 20 minutes out of the city. People have to know about nature to care about it.

I just watched a video (Chris and Sara...I think) informing everyone of a recent law by the Federal govt that no filming in National Parks without a certificate (but can't reach the websites in each state)
This is apparently an updated law of October 2022...to be enforced.

So a few things about that it is based on a park by Park standard and there are media contacts at each and every park. Do you have to let them know in advance or talk to arrange her directly and a lot of them because they are not as well-versed in how exactly it reads are unfamiliar and don’t feel comfortable speaking on it or we’ll just say sure go for it because they don’t know however you do have to pursue this a little bit if you’re planning on selling a park I definitely encourage you to reach out to a media liaison before going to the park
Also, that’s only for national parks it does not include independent state parks, or also city parks

I try to do that whenever I find information. However, sometimes there are cases where I don’t see it clearly marked. Especially whenever I’m traveling with Riley because she travels with Tyson we try to share which trails are available for Tyson and which are not however, a lot of times it is a bit harder in certain regions to know, especially if it is on a trail by trail basis.

If you make it back out here, when approaching the walk up to hole in the rock, if you turn right you will see a Pyramid. This is actually a gravesite. The 1st Gov of Az, Gov Hunt, and some of his family are actually buried in Hunts Tomb...the pyramid.

You cannot drone at this location. At locations where you can drone however it will be marked on the trailhead.
