One of my favorite places in the world. I climbed Cathedral Rock when I was 62 and would try it again if ever I get back there. Devil's bridge was fun to hike but I was the photographer for my husband. Not for those who might feel a little dizzy on high narrow paths.😎

That's fantastic! Cathedral Rock is definitely a climb to be proud of, especially at 62! And I agree, Devil's Bridge can be a bit dizzying but the views are worth it. Thanks for sharing your experiences! 🌄📸😃

We just returned from the Sedona area. It should be noted that most hikes in Sedona are not easy or safe trails. Caution should be used! We found hiking around the Grand Canyon rim safer. We love Sedona but wish it was safer for all ages.

I live here. If you do decide to come, please do the following:
    - Respect our town as you would respect your own home
    - Learn how to be courteous while navigating roundabouts
    - Do not turn left from the right lane
    - Do not give money to the "homeless" on the corners. They all drive Audis.
    - Picazzos is the best happy hour; Mariposa is overrated.
    - Red lights mean stop...not speed up.
    - Most of all....have fun!

Or right from the left lane. I've seen so many out of towners do that and almost got hit twice in 1 day smh

I’ve watched a ton of Sedona videos and this was the first one that mentioned something about safety and what to look out for. Thankfully I didn’t see any snakes or scorpions when I was there back in May but I did get heat rash one of the days I was out there. It looked like I had poison ivy and I knew I wasn’t anywhere where I could have touched something like that. I was drinking a ton of water but a nurse friend of mine who lives in AZ told me I should have been drinking something to replenish my electrolytes and not just drink water. Lesson learned and after I bought some medicine the rash completely went away by the next day.

We just got back from 4 days in Sedona. 12/26 - 12 /29. Boy was it disappointing.
The scenery is beautiful, but be prepared for HORRIBLE traffic, mediocre and ridiculously overpriced food, trails so crowded that the trailhead parking lots are full, and town full of nothing but tourist junk shops.
It is off season now but it still took us 1.5 hrs to go a little under 2 miles to get through town. It was bumper to bumper traffic and there is only one way thru town and the road is one lane each way. I cannot imagine what it is like peak season.
We waited over an hour for a table at Javelina Cafe and spent 60$ on two entrees and no drinks. Here in LA it would have been 1/2 that. The food situation was a disaster. Huge lines everywhere, many places not taking same day reservations, and the prices were just insulting, especially for what you got.
So, a very pretty place, but be prepared to be pay thru the nose for everything and traffic worse than LA at rush hour. ( where we are from). The whole place felt like one big tourist trap and a place that is not designed for the amount of people who come there.
I feel sorry for the locals. I cannot imagine how they deal with the traffic, crowds and prices on a day to day basis.

True, Sedona's traffic is heavy but you sound very whiney. Given that you twice made it a point to let it be known you're from LA, this comes as no surprise. Now that you're back in LA I hope you're enjoying homeless tent camps, garbage everywhere, six-dollar gallon of gas and mass shop lifting/burglary. Home sweet home!

I understand your frustration with parking in Sedona. It can be challenging due to limited space and private properties. To make your visit more enjoyable, try going during less crowded times like early mornings or weekdays. Also, consider visiting during the off-season or off-peak hours to find better parking opportunities. Enjoy your trip to Sedona and the beautiful sights it has to offer! 🏞️🚗
