      It is interesting Nightwish chose Mexico for this with these beatutiful landscapes. Tuomas once said Nightwish should be like Cirque du Soleil - who released a video about the beauty of Mexico 8 years ago.
      Edit: what is Cirque du Soleil? It is a circus, but heavily built on aestetics, on beauty. The artists are often winners in a national competition.

    I'll say this in spanish and english:
    I'm mexican. I'm in love with NW since 2006, when I was a young highschool student. There is no band in the world who is able to make me feel in this level their music. In 2015 they released their 8th studio album EFMB and they dedicated this album to life. Now, I'm biologist. Yes. NW helped me to choose my career and I'm to happy of being that. Imagine mi face when my favorite band makes a song to help an endangered & beautiful forest on my country, me being a Biologist. Is like if you made this song specially dedicated to me😭. NW: you are my oceansoul.
    "Soy mexicano.

      This is a continuation, Part 2 of EFMB.
      The second disc upsets a lot of people, who won't even listen to it, as it is listed as an instrumental.
      They miss out big time on something different, afraid to broaden their horizons and experience the love Tuomas has for nature.

  • @evanwayland
    @evanwayland 4 роки тому +50

    For years, especially after EFMB was released, I've believed I've always been biased when talking about Nightwish's grandeur because they've always been my favorite band and, come on, in what way is one supposed to talk about and promote his favorite band? I was a bit let-down by their latest release back in 2015 but since I got the chance to see them live twice, everything changed... The songs sounded much more consistent and powerful. And Floor didn't sound restricted anymore.
    However... this? What can I say about this? It's been such an enxhilirating 4-minute ride. You've made me feel so much in such little time. The narrated part is beyond gorgeous, and the second half of the song is extremely moving, absolutely magnificent, so full of life.
    Long live Nightwish, the greatest band on Earth.

      Since I had to present this research to a broad audience without biological/toxicological background, I found Sagan to be a perfect little introduction.
      Sadly, the audience didn‘t find my little ‚heavy metal toxicity‘ pun in my presentation as funny as I did (I inserted an Iron Maiden cover artwork)

    Makes perfect sense seeing Tuomas comes from Finland, here pretty much everyone agrees with the beauty of nature and the need to preserve it for coming generations. For centuries we have been called "forest people" and it is true in a sense but it doesn't mean don't have technology, on the contrary some of big tech inventions came from here and now there should be nation wide 5G coming soon, so you can tweet while being in middle of nowhere. Tuomas and others like him are the true ambassadors of Finnish culture and mentality, not the people in power who only do moral posing and others like them.
    Would love to spend one evening with Tuomas and co around the campfire during midsummer and talk about these things :)

      Meanwhile in Ukraine forest are cuting off and being sold, I live in the city Mariupol, which has 2 largest factories in Ukraine. The snow here is not white, it's black because of dirty dust. Toxic wastes being thrown right into the sea and my city counts as a resort. A friend of mine came from another city and he said it is hard for him to breathe here because of lack of oxygen in the air. 500 000 lives here. You can google "Mariupol factories" and see the "beautiful" skyes over it. Have a nice day sir and keep your beautiful Suomi safe from this shit.
