this is one of those 3 ball tricks that are super easy to understand but a total nightmare to get solid... practice and perseverance is the key here... if you end up smashing the balls to the ground in a fit of rage, no worries, this is completely normal whilst learning the box (applies for 441 as well)... for me the most helpful was to focus only on the balls going up and down and rotating my head to observe them, not focusing on the ball being passed... anywho, thanks for your hard work for the benefit of the juggling community, Taylor, and have a lovely day... over and out...
Once I started getting my vertical throws higher it started to click, I still have lots of work on smoothing the pattern and consistency. Great tutorial.
To be honest, I've been getting really stir crazy in the house. Your videos really help me find some pure joy. I love learning new tricks and showing them to my wife. Thank you.

I recently had an idea for club trick but I don't know if it's possible or if it's been done before. It's a 3 club cascade but you throw and catch the clubs in and out of scissor catches instead of throwing and catching them normally. I don't have enough skill or enough clubs to do it so it would be really awesome if you tried it out!
I’ve been able to do the box for quite some time but watching you break down the trick has helped me to make my box look even better! Thanks Taylor! Ps. I know you’ve been getting a couple of nasty comments recently so I just wanted to let you know that you’re a legend! 😃

Omg I never done this trick before and it only took me 15 minutes to master this trick! 😊 💚 I figured it would've taken me couple of days to master it.😊 I just mastered the around the neck shower and around the neck reversed shower yesterday! It took me 3 days to master around the neck shower both ways!😊 ❤💙💚💛💜

I like your videos. Small recommendation. Add a practice time which is on average how many hours of practice it will take to learn the trick. Obviously for everyone it will be different but I think it could be useful to gauge how effectively we are practicing. This trick took me about 90 mins of practice to be able to do about 15-20 reps.
I’ve been trying to do this a while and realised I was doing all the things you say not to. I’m going back and going to work on my form. Hopefully I can get it sorted
Wish this one came up earlier but it was fun figuring some of this by myself. Thanks for your amazing tutorials. Any tip on being more accurate on the height and direction in straight up throws?
I think what scottie said is definitely true, a lot of that comes with just a lot of practice ☺️ It helps me a lot to visualize lines when I throw straight up, and try to make the ball follow that path. But I don’t know how helpful that is! I can think on it some more though ☺️
Hey Taylor, I’d LOVE to see a video on cool ways to start and finish 3 ball patterns. There’s only one video out there-and it’s not great-so it’d probably be a good one.
Whoa. I just taught myself the box today (took me only a few hours to get up to six repetitions) right before watching this video, and I had no idea it was an advanced trick. And I haven't learned the shower or mill's mess or any medium-to-advanced tricks at all yet. The next hardest trick I know is like windmill or tennis. And yes I am 100% sure I am doing the actual trick that you are doing in the video. Not bragging at all just really surprised, but that sometimes happens I guess! Also, interestingly, the method I used to teach myself was the exact same one you used (I mean I guess it's the most logical progression)
Some tips for the new people walking this path. 1) If you want your Box to be tiiiight, you have to know the shower in both clockwise and anti clockwise directions. Sorry to people who can only shower in one direction, put the Box back on the shelf and get reverse showering. 2) Taylor is advising pushing that ball further at 07:00 , and for a moment does it really boxy, then says dont do that, as its too hard. mmmmmm... do just that. do it well.
I bought some of your balls! I have been practicing a lot. I was amazed at the fact that my arms got sore after a good while. I find it easier to do the reverse Cascade than the regular Cascade.
Love this trick!! One thing I disagree with though. That "negative space" as you call it. I like the bottom ball to go no wider than the two up and down balls. I think visually it looks better when you keep that bottom throw inside!! But yes, I agree that makes it harder because of the speed, and the way you show it, is definitely the best way to learn!! Great tutorial as usual, always clear and easy to follow instructions!! Great work!! 😊
Yes I mention later in the tutorial that you can bring them closer together to create a better aesthetic. But I think for learning, it’s essential to learn it with the negative space. Which is why I teach it that way. It’s similar to how juggling 3 balls looks better low and fast, but you should learn it at a higher slower rhythm because it teaches you form. The box is the same way with extending your arm beyond the edges of the box.
