Your juggling channel and videos are the best on the Internet. Your 3-ball videos helped me learn the basics a few years ago, and this year at the age of 70 I was determined to learn clubs. With help from your lessons and a few months of practice, I can finally do a cascade, 20+ or so throws. For a while there I thought I would never get it. My pattern is a little narrow compared to yours and others I've seen, but I'll keep working at it. Thank you!

Go to a tennis court or a side of a building and start with that. Then when you feel confident let go of the wall for 1 or 2 pedal strokes. Keep doing that and eventually you will do more and more pedal strokes between touches of the wall or fence. And eventually you will leave the wall for good and Then on to free mounting which just takes practice.

I used to juggle 3 balls as a kid about 20 years ago. Then one day about 2 months ago I had a dream I learned to juggle clubs. So I started practicing juggling 3 tennis balls. Just got my first set of clubs Friday. Your video is a great learning tool with a lot of tips thank you.
I love the way you teach. I pick up tips on how to do things on many different things. I have subscribed to your channel because you are so versatile. You do so many cool things. I do clubs, cigar boxes, poi, and buggeng, and staff spinning. When I walk my dog, I always have a club, a ball, or a staff in my free hand. My neighbors just watch me. My dog knows to stay at the end of the leash. Yes, I admit I have dropped in her direction. Luckily, I have not clobbered her with a club. A few close calls, tho. But dropping is learning. And she learned to just watch from a distance. I watched this video several years ago and learned from it. Thanks for all of the cool videos and for the way you teach us all things that you try.
Just wanted to say thanks for putting out good content. A month ago I couldn't even throw a ball up and catch it with the same hand. Now I can do a 3 ball cascade and I'm making progress juggling with 3 clubs.
Getting back into juggling after many years of absence. Thanks for showing me the details, I’ve always caught cheap clubs from the ends and hurt my hands. This is much more comfortable.
Hi! This video helped me out a lot in my journey to learn how to juggle clubs. I've had these juggling clubs for YEARS and I'm only just now getting back into practicing with them. I can juggle balls pretty well, but clubs have always been a challenge for me, and now that I'm getting back into it, this video really helped me learn some exercises to practice in the areas where I was struggling. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey! I just wanted to say thank you for teaching me to juggle clubs, I found a set from the 90's i think at a thrift shop. after about a week of daily practice with this video I am confidently able to do a 3 club cascade and make 33 throws and collect them without dropping them. (about once in every 5-7 tries) Thank you for your awesome videos!
Thanks for this video. It covered all the issues I've been having learning the clubs. I guess there's nothing left to do but to keep reviewing this video and practice, practice, practice. I'll get it down eventually. Thanks again, Taylor.😀
Love this video!! The clear use of your vocabulary. The camera angels. I just started a week ago and I feel so close to getting this down. Thank you for this amazingly well done video!!

Thank you, Taylor! I used your code to get a set of Henry's loop grip training clubs. 2 pink & 1 blue, like you. haha.. Your tips in this video are very helpful!
Hey Taylor, Thanks for all your nice content! I bought some clubs lately and started with some adapted 3 ball tricks like shower, tennis, easy stuff. I felt quite comfy and tried to learn scissor catches which brought me back here :) I was struggling really hard with the standard catch. Somehow everytime the clubs went into circus grip... I now found out that I need to face the head to the outside to block the club from rotating further an ending up in circus grip. By just starting juggling clubs on my own I found a lot of information regarding my arm positioning in this video. Thanks! Cheers from Germany, Flo
Well... I just got my first own set of juggling clubs today (I only used one of my school by now). I like Circus Grip way better, so I tried the 1st method of catching two clubs in one hand. I tried. Many times. But I always end up using the 2nd method, I don't know why or how that happens. It just feels natural. Thanks for explaining it even if it's not what you usually do!
Thank you so much for this helpful video! I think this might be the best 3 club tutorial ever!!! I finally got it !!! I’ve been practicing for months with my Ridleys clubs, will hopefully be getting PX4 Sirius from Renegade for my birthday in December ! Thanks so much for this video, it was superrrrr helpful !!!!
I just got clubs today. Love your video. Cant wait to try some of your tips. I saw your IG and seen a lot of cool stuff. However, have you ever tried bounce juggling? Its actually pretty easy. Get 3 of the red faded bouncy rubber balls next time you are at dollar general and try it on the floor on the store. Its actually pretty fun.
Thanks for the video, just holding the two clubs in one hand was throwing me off (get it?!) But knowing there is a circus grip changed everything. Party on.
So I'm coming back today after 2 weeks practice to say I hit 20 catches today, thanks for teaching me 🙂 I've been hitting myself in the face a lot less too although I took a club end to the nose on my last practice run. Felt impossible starting out. Now for the real challenge - collecting
Got 3 club juggling a while back thanks to your tutorial! I have some wrist pain and I'm taking a break so I might try juggling 2 in the other hand to at least start working towards 4 clubs. I think I already got the hang of it with 2 balls
I just got my first set of clubs in the mail. 16.5”, 1lb, solid wood vintage Spalding clubs. I love older things with previous lives and I love them, they’re beautiful. However, I’m realizing modern clubs are probably...less dangerous? A full pound of solid wood spinning in my head area is a little scary....especially after immediately smashing my finger 😂 But I revisited the vid, so hopefully I’ll survive unscathed. Wish me luck.
Very good tutorial! It came too late for me, because I've already learned how to juggle 3 clubs using the Duncan's. (I've started with one club, then one club and one ball, two clubs, one club and two balls, two balls and one club, then three clubs). Mine didn't break, but I switched pretty soon to Henry's Delfin clubs which are much better. I love your videos. Keep them coming! 👍
Augh I just bought these exact beginner clubs I wish I had known about the code. I love seeing "or if you're left-handed," most tutorials forget about us south paws
I found out from this video that I use circus grip! Catching in the first style where the fingers open on top, and the first club handle lands on top of the second. I learned 20 years ago without any tutorial video, with cheap one piece molded plastic clubs, which are super hard, and absolutely wrecked my fingers learning how to gather (gathering was the hardest thing to learn by far).
Haha I'm a circus grip juggler who collects in the way you hate. I need to make a "If you want to juggle clubs the way Taylor doesn't recommend" tutorial. XD
As usual great video! Just a poor 3 ball juggling noob here. That is as far as I can go with juggling lol. 4 ball juggling feels like a nightmare... but that bane... the BANE of juggling is picking up all this shit from the floor... I just cant deal with that! :D :P Love to watch juggling vidoes tho! Happy new Year everyone!
Oh no!!!! I just got my first set of clubs and they are the yellow Duncan. Always loved their yo-yo's so thought they would be good. I do love their look and now guess I'm just hoping they last me a while. With that said, I really appreciate your video. I've juggled balls for years and always wanted to do clubs. I have been having fun with doing one, then back and forth between hands, and I've become apprehensive about what's next. I'll be watching your video often in the days ahead. Do you know if there is a tape that can soften the catch on my Duncan Clubs? Might not be needed because I'm learning to catch them in a way that doesn't thump my hand. Thanks again Taylor. Maybe some day I'll post a video reply to show how much you've helped me. Cheers.
Overall great video. I have been watching a couple of yours and like the way you explain things a lot. At the moment, I am trying to create a wiki that will give you sensible "learning paths" for learning - actually mostly passing patterns, because those I enjoy most - and so I do start with passing patterns that only have passes. But at some point, selfs will be needed. For that I have been looking around for a tutorial on selfs as well. Your video has many good points, but on a few details I see things a bit different - or in case of circus grip hadn't thought of myself. I'll just note down some of my thoughts: a) where to grip the club: I usually say "in the middle of the handle" - although I myself find myself gripping where you tell people to. I think in the middle of the handle is a more sensible starting point, though, from which anyone can then deviate to wherever comfort tells them to. b) circus grip - I have used that all my life… and yeah, if you grip the club so far up, of course it's uncomfortable - if you are in the middle of the handles it's a different matter b1) collecting in circus grip - I collect this way - I think I do it that way because then the last club you catch is the first one to throw. Silly reason, the way you suggested just never occurred to me, I guess. c) I dislike that you explicitly tell people to bend their wrists for the throw. It's not necessary to do that and it's actually better if you start the throw a bit lower and try to do very little with the wrist (without forcefully keeping it completely rigid, but you will use it a bit even if you don't plan to) d) what about 1 club and 2 balls? e) troubleshooting: I would say the problem isn't in not using enough wrist, but using mostly the shoulder for the throw. Throws should come mostly from the elbow, with only a little involvement from shoulder and wrist. Even the demo of too high underspun throws shows you using the shoulder instead of the elbow. Also, the height f) full agreement on the other two, though - hadn't even considered the "broad" juggle. Mostly I tell people to stand there fully relaxed. and try to do a throw (pass) from that position. g) some people try to have the inside of their hands facing upwards, which causes weird throws. Would have been good to mention that somewhere between thumb and index-finger faces in direction of the movement.
Can do a ~10 throw now after weeks of ~20hr total practices, thanks for the useful tutorial 🤩, I also found my left and right hand uses different collecting method but same release, is this usual?
@@TaylorTries So the flourish, chops and backcrosses? by the way, I think you accidentally put an Adam savage video in your juggling tutorial Playlist.
i always find myself walking forward when juggling, any tips for how to avoid that? loved this video btw, i told myself i'd learn to juggle clubs at the beginning of quarantine last march and i'm finally starting today! your video is the best i've seen!
Easy, stand against a bed or a couch. Then you can't move forward. Suited me well for learning different tricks, you don't havet to reach all the way down to the floor every time you drop something.
Have fun everyone! Feel free to ask questions in the comments!

It looks so easy when you do it. I am struggling getting that third club. I know I need to practice it more.
I love your videos! They are super helpful.
Thanks for the video, just holding the two clubs in one hand was throwing me off (get it?!) But knowing there is a circus grip changed everything. Party on.
I actually learnt how to juggle with this tutorial, your videos are awasome, thanks a lot!
Thank You sooo much I learned so quickly with this
So I'm coming back today after 2 weeks practice to say I hit 20 catches today, thanks for teaching me 🙂 I've been hitting myself in the face a lot less too although I took a club end to the nose on my last practice run. Felt impossible starting out. Now for the real challenge - collecting
Thanks one of my favorite channels
Got 3 club juggling a while back thanks to your tutorial! I have some wrist pain and I'm taking a break so I might try juggling 2 in the other hand to at least start working towards 4 clubs. I think I already got the hang of it with 2 balls
I just got my first set of clubs in the mail. 16.5”, 1lb, solid wood vintage Spalding clubs. I love older things with previous lives and I love them, they’re beautiful. However, I’m realizing modern clubs are probably...less dangerous? A full pound of solid wood spinning in my head area is a little scary....especially after immediately smashing my finger 😂
But I revisited the vid, so hopefully I’ll survive unscathed. Wish me luck.
Thank you for this video. It helped me learn to juggle my clubs in 2 days
Nice! Thanks for the tips!! Just got my club set!!
We love watching you
I learned how to juggle clubs yesterday because of this video! Thanks :)
This was very helpful, thanks!
Your videos are great for my juggling! Good work good lookin!
I bought a set of the Zeekio Pegasus with your code because you recommended them
Augh I just bought these exact beginner clubs I wish I had known about the code.
I love your tutorials!
Haha I'm a circus grip juggler who collects in the way you hate. I need to make a "If you want to juggle clubs the way Taylor doesn't recommend" tutorial. XD
Awesome, Taylor.
So nice tutorial 👌🏻👌🏻
My brain has an aneurysm when I try to add the third club lol
Cheers.
My husband is a circus performer and I'm trying to surprise him learning juggling ❤ hopefully I'll join him in the ring soon🤞
Thank you for teaching that. That really helps me.
I'll just note down some of my thoughts:
a) where to grip the club: I usually say "in the middle of the handle" - although I myself find myself gripping where you tell people to. I think in the middle of the handle is a more sensible starting point, though, from which anyone can then deviate to wherever comfort tells them to.
b) circus grip - I have used that all my life… and yeah, if you grip the club so far up, of course it's uncomfortable - if you are in the middle of the handles it's a different matter
b1) collecting in circus grip - I collect this way - I think I do it that way because then the last club you catch is the first one to throw. Silly reason, the way you suggested just never occurred to me, I guess.
c) I dislike that you explicitly tell people to bend their wrists for the throw. It's not necessary to do that and it's actually better if you start the throw a bit lower and try to do very little with the wrist (without forcefully keeping it completely rigid, but you will use it a bit even if you don't plan to)
d) what about 1 club and 2 balls?
e) troubleshooting: I would say the problem isn't in not using enough wrist, but using mostly the shoulder for the throw. Throws should come mostly from the elbow, with only a little involvement from shoulder and wrist. Even the demo of too high underspun throws shows you using the shoulder instead of the elbow. Also, the height
f) full agreement on the other two, though - hadn't even considered the "broad" juggle.
Mostly I tell people to stand there fully relaxed. and try to do a throw (pass) from that position.
g) some people try to have the inside of their hands facing upwards, which causes weird throws. Would have been good to mention that somewhere between thumb and index-finger faces in direction of the movement.
really liking these tutorials... can't wait for the juggle 4 clubs video??? 🤔
Can do a ~10 throw now after weeks of ~20hr total practices, thanks for the useful tutorial 🤩, I also found my left and right hand uses different collecting method but same release, is this usual?
Please, some video about how to learn 4 clubs. Greeting from chile
Muito bom!Parabéns!
Continue com os tutoriais ❤
thank you, much appreciated
could you maybe do a 5 beginner classtricks for clubs video? Or can I just do the same tricks with clubs?
I have a tutorial on the first club tricks I recommend! So go watch that for sure! But I’m also planning to go over more beginner tricks soon
@@TaylorTries So the flourish, chops and backcrosses? by the way, I think you accidentally put an Adam savage video in your juggling tutorial Playlist.
You're fantastic!
i always find myself walking forward when juggling, any tips for how to avoid that? loved this video btw, i told myself i'd learn to juggle clubs at the beginning of quarantine last march and i'm finally starting today! your video is the best i've seen!
Easy, stand against a bed or a couch. Then you can't move forward. Suited me well for learning different tricks, you don't havet to reach all the way down to the floor every time you drop something.
It looks so easy when you explain
