I love the time and energy you put into this man thanks!
Good video! I purchased my first watch in 1973, yep you guessed it, a Pulsar P2 2900! And it still works to this day...
I went to the Q branch sub button. I am a lifelong Bond fan too from England in my mid 40s, and your video made me smile greatly.
I own the Goldeneye Quartz Seamaster and you are EXACTLY right...Just for a brief moment, one glances down and is in Bond mode.
Thank you David for this video, I was contemplating selling my Rolex submariner date 16613 (Blue and gold case) I bought back in 2005 when I started making money.
I bought it because I wanted the modern version of the watch model Connery had in Goldfinger; when I saw the movie on TV when I was just 10 years old.
But the emotional connection is an important point and worth more than the money.
I’m going start wearing it again for good luck.
Thanks David. You are a good man!
Love the intro
You should do a video on the sports James Bond has played such as (golf, skiing, fencing, etc)
Thats a great idea!
I also like how you mentioned the mixing and matching between Bond clothing and watches when you brought up the examples of complementing your Bond tuxedos with the Spectre watch, and daily outfits with the Casino watch . This is something for me to give more thought to from now on...
Impressive collection of Bond related watches. I love that 45.5mm Planet Ocean you're wearing. Looks brilliant on the rubber strap, just like how Bond wore it in Casino Royale. My first Omega was the Omega Seamaster 300m that Bond wore later on in Casino Royale. Model 2220.80. Similar as your Tomorrow Never Dies Omega, but with an updated look and movement. Currently, my Bond watches collection consists of the Omega Seamaster 300m from Casino Royale and the Omega blue Aqua Terra from Spectre.
I have replicas of the SPECTRE Omega, the Special 50th Anniversary Omega, The QOS branded one, the one with the gun barrel on the face and all the swatches. I love this video. Keep up the good work Mr. Z
Fantastic video! Love the little intro sequence, and the close ups of the watches were so crisp and clear. Well Done!
The bond watch I invested in was the Omega Seamaster 300m Quartz from Goldeneye, I purchased the watch a week after watching the movie, Love the watch so very much!
I got a Pierce Brosnan omega seamaster 300 for my 15th birthday, and I love james bond so 2 in one!
Srikamal M You lucky son of a bitch!
same brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first Omega I purchased was at the time Goldeneye was released, Bond was wearing a 300m Quartz Seamaster and I knew I just had to have the same watch, a few weeks later I went to Michael Jones Jewellers and purchased the same watch, I remember at the time it cost £895:00 and I had it on interest free credit over two years! It came in red leather box with the gold Omega Emblem on the top, the warranty cards were in a leather wallet slip, and then the red box was in a white box. It felt amazing buying the watch, and once the bracelet was adjusted to fit my wrist perfectly I wore the watch every day, it kept perfect time and I got so many remarks on how beautiful it looked, I even got some goldeneye promotional leaflets and a little book telling you about the film and how the watch featured...
Amazing video, and your collection is great, my favorite watch is omega seamaster of pierce brosnan movies.. I am from Colombia fan of 007..
A half year ago I´ve got my first own watch, a Seamaster 300 with a Nato-Strap, just like in the movie. I was certainly inspired by Specter. Apparently the limited Specter-Edition was already sold out for a long time, but just to get the Bond-feeling and to reward myself for hard work I have done for the last half year before, I got it and I wear it for every special occasion. And I can admit, on and of I really do feel the "Bond experience" while wearing this beautiful swiss masterpiece on my wrist. I´m glad it won´t explode when I turn the bezel, it just tells the time...
Great intro David!!! Love it! I also have the Omega Seamaster Pro 300M (blue wave dial) and I love it. It is by far my favorite watch in the whole series. I love 'Bond moments' throughout my day wearing that watch.
I love you're enthusiasm for Bond and have enjoyed the vids, especially this one! I understand the emotional connection.
Thanks for sharing your video. Well done!
I love hearing this guy talk... it’s just so relaxing.
I'm drooling!beautiful watches sir.sawlite bits of heaven!thank you.Awedome vid!
It's actually cool to see watch reviews from an emotional angle rather than a technical angle! We have those from technical angles : )
What reference is your Rolex?
Looks like a 5513
David, one of your best video....Felt all the emotions, thanks
Yes, been waiting a long time for this one! Amazing intro!!!
Just bought myself the James Bond Planet Ocean Skyfall edition and love it!!! Great video, thanks for sharing your collection.
5:51 about the SUB no date, he is still selling nowadays, with the ref. 114060, yours watch, is the ref. 14060
David, I love your "Bond Experience " videos. Bond has always been important to me growing up and now that I am pushing 60 it's good to know that Bond is still going strong. Take Care David
David Anthony Romero
Hi David, just for your info. Ian Fleming had a Rolex Explorer model # 1016 mfr. in the 4th qtr. of 1960.
Thank you David. You did it just right. Thanks for not going into detail on facts anybody can look for 😂 besides all the watch videos and reviews here. Thanks for sharing your personal connection to your watches and your toughts on them! Just great!
Note: Dalton wore a Heuer Professional Night-Dive Reference 980.031 and a Rolex Submariner Ref. 16610, continuing the Bond Tradition of Sean Connery, early Roger Moore…And Ian Fleming’s Rolex Explorer…
Love how the Spectre box is also a safe
Wooww!! Amazing colection
as he brought up owning your first Omega i find myself looking down at my seamaster and feeling the 10 year old in me tearing up
Fantastic collection!
Great idea for casual Friday at the office , thanks!
Superb video and my favourite Bond watch is the one from Goldfinger 👍
I love the no date Submariners. Great collection!!
It's a dream of mine to be able to own this watch from Spectre.👍Maybe one day it can become reality.......
Love your passion for 007.Thank you.😊😊😊
So true. The first Seamaster I owned was a breathtaking moment.
Great video. You look like Kevin Costner wearing a Bond watch.
This is just pure fun. And by the way for me a hundred times a better review than others because it shows the most important thing about a luxury watch: your emotions that make you gravitate towards it 😉👍🏻🦅😎
I have the Omega Seamaster... very humble and good presentation
FYI....this was my first Bond Experience video. It made me subscribe and interested me in several of the Bond watches. Almost a year ago. I have 5 watches now. I am out of watch money now. But I now have the Omega No Time To Die, Spectre, Skyfall Planet Ocean, ...and a Speedmaster and a newer Submariner....now if I was just able to get out and wear them around people.
Hi There, i own myself a Sub 5513 from 1972 and i bought it also because of Live and let die. i bought it in 2004 before the Hype around classic Rolex Watch began. For only 2000,- Euros.
Really nice job! I love it, the Spectre box is incredible!
What a wonderful video! Thank you!
I wonder how many sales of the seamaster are generated by the bond movies. It is definitely why I wanted one since I was a kid growing up watching the films. Finally got one a few years back and must say it is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Every day when I put it on in the morning it makes me smile 😃
Ps. Great videos, love the enthusiasm and knowledge. Thanks for sharing👍
Do those SEIKOs work? I would power them so the silicon doesn't degrade.
Hey David, loved the video, I know its been a while since you posted the video but was wondering where you got the Replica Rolex from which is on your Goldfinger stand as it looks rather good??
Terrific video David. The emotional connection you spoke of really came through. Very interesting that you think of the Spectre LE as a more formal watch. I'd probably have classified the Skyfall Aqua Terra as such.
Agreed but alas I don't have one of those...
I think with a steel bracelet the Spectre one has a very classic design that would wear quite formally. The NATO adds a sportier feel to it.
Dear David!
Question: is the very last end of the NATO Omega strap inserted inside or outside?? THX in advance 🙏🏻
Great watch collection. Awesome vid!
Can anyone tell me if they included a NATO strap with the Casino Royale Omega? I'm seeing a "Casino Royale" strap on Etsy with an orange stripe but I want to know if it's cannon/official. Thanks!
What’s polo you wearing?
I remember the Goldfinger nato strap did not fit the Rolex watch correctly when the camera zooms in before the explosion 😊
Great video I get the replicas for display, but the nato on the Rolex, bond wore a smaller nato , than the watch . That Nato that Sean Connery wore , was a bit smaller.
Cool video! On the Goldfinger watch you have to size down on the NATO. Which is actually a RAF strap. If you look at the picture with the lighter it’s actually a 18mm strap. Some people have said it’s a 16mm but I have never seen one in that size.
It's also not a 6538 mockup.
It doesn't have its signature big crown.
The Goldfinger strap was an 18mm Zulu strap. NATOs weren't created until 14 years later.
Wow, the Skyfall Aqua Terra gets no love?
Hi, great vid, like you I am a huge fan of James Bond’s watches and I ask myself where did you get this James Bond’s Nato and especially the same that you are on the sub not a noob or an homage from eBay or Etsy but with exactly the same Colors. Thank you very much. Nico
In Spectre, JB used a knife to cut Madelaine free from her chair ropes. Do you know what type of EDC knife his character would carry?. eg. automatic, flip, spring assisted. tactical or gentlemens.
The best intro.
I know I’m commenting way late, but can you tell me where you got that vintage Connery-era nato strap on the replica Sub? I know you can find those Bond natos all over. But yours looks like it is REALLY close to the proper color shading of the movie version.
David in 2014, picked up the Golden Gruen. Calibre 510. 34 mm case, 17 rubies, it sits on a a one piece black nylon perlon strap with an attractive slipthru buckle, 16 mm.
Nice watches👌
Have you got the Breitling watch from Thunderball ?. Bond used it for measuring Radio Active pulses from the Nuclear Bombs .
Very enjoyable !
Nice fight with Oddjob! ;D
My No Time To Die Watch arrived this week and I am speechless it is so cool...now I want to go somewhere so that I can wear it. I switch out between the Spectre (always on the Nato) and a 42mm Planet Ocean that I go between the bracelet and a black rubber strap ala Casino Royale. Just for kicks I will wear a Black modern Submariner on a replica Goldfinger nato from time to time. I wonder if JB has each watch on each version of a strap or bracelet. The most boring bluray outtakes would be the scenes with him sitting on the edge of his bed switching out the band before dinner or a card game.
The. Watches. Of. James Bond
The watches got me going too! I love the Casino Planet Ocean too but it is hyooooge! And the seamaster 300. What will he wear in B25??
If you want to be as precise as possible in purchasing a 5513, you would have to get a riveted strap and the one that Sir Roger wore was a stamped American C&I Rolex strap. It also had a non-Serif dial and some people believed that he wore a cyclops Sub or GMT in TMWGG in certain shots.
The one that you have David, is a 1989 model, the very last of the bunch. If I went for such a late watch, I would've picked Dalton's 1988 16610 from Licence to Kill.
Great video as per usual but I couldn't help to nitpick but nerds-b-nerds.
Still enjoy wearing my 5513 which I bought for £250!
YOURE MISSING THE SKYFALL AQUA TERRA!!! ITS GORGEOUS!
Very Good , always enjoy your videos
Nice video, quite instructive and detailed; but why did you overlook the Aqua Terra prominently seen both in Skyfall and Specter ? These are very nice and related to Bond at his best. Regards
That Spectre Omega is awesome and the presentation is amazing.
Sweet new intro!!
DAVID YOU COULD BE BOND AND I AM NOT JOKING!
That intro is pretty awesome 👌👍
Awesome videos
The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra was also worn in Spectre and Skyfall.
Please tell me your going to get the new Bond watch !!!!
you look amazing in bond look ,i wish you to be considered by hollywood
Is that a 5513?
Intro was great lol
The no-date Submariner you have it either the 14060 or the 14060M. Most like the 14060M based on the box it came in. I have to the 14060 (love the clean two line dial and symmetry). However, Rolex still continues to make the no-date Submariner. The current reference 114060 is still in production. Yours is much nicer than the new one because yours has more sleek and tapered lugs and a thinner case. The one thing it is the last of, however, is it’s the last of the “classic Submariners.” Enjoy it. It’s a beaut!
I think Rolex still makes the “dateless” version of Submariner. I bought the 116610 version with date 2 years ago and they were still offering the 114060 version without date
Good to know! It's a fantastic watch.
kimi88cz the submariner doesn’t have a date
Great job!!!
What can I say? More excellence in this video, as is typical, David. I do have a question for you though. My wife has decided that I should get a "Bond" Omega for my birthday next month and I am having a hard time deciding which Omega to buy. When my wife and I were looking over the options we both decided that the SPECTRE Omega was out as I would rather spend that much money on improving my CL 55 AMG and taking it to the track at a Mercedes Benz Club of America racing event. Obviously any one of these watches will be second hand, but I have found reputable watch companies from collecting the watches that I do own now. All of them are primarily military styles with brands like; Citizen, Seiko, Luminox, Pobeda Russian World War II commemorative watch, Panerai or some quirky little chronograph that I found while browsing for some other watch, like the Soul Beouf chronograph that I have never even heard of before, nor am I able to locate any information about at all.
So, aside from the SPECTRE watch, which one do you think should be my first? I am torn between the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 50TH Anniversary, the Casino Royale Limited Edition with the gun barrel image on the watch face, also from Casino Royale, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, and the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, which I believe you wear regularly, and finally, the Quantum of Solace Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M.
It's such a difficult decision to make, though I am pretty sure that I'll be adding to my James Bond Omega watch collection, I just want to make an excellent choice for my first James Bond Omega and you David, are the right man to assist me in this choice.
Thank you in advance for your input!
Nice collection, I understand what you mean about the meaning of them. I own myself the Omega seamaster and a older version from grandad. I also recently however bought a fake 1.1 replica of the seamaster from the world is not enough..now I am not a fan off fake watches but I bought it to try and make it in to a sort of 007 gadget. Turn the bezel it will light up etc . I am doing it for the fun as I use to study watch making etc ....and got me thinking as I would never wear it perhaps I could donate to you for your collection.
That is very kind of you!
will let you know when I get round to doing it...and maybe arrange to have it sent to you.
I may have missed it...what size is the Spectre watch?
Kevin K I think it’s 40-41 mm
Very cool.
..and the polo you had in this vlog was pretty cool, who made it?
John Varvatos Zip Polo!
amazing video love the casino royale watch
I'm so happy that Invicta has made a vintage sub homage! Now I can put it on the classic Connery nato and have my "bond" watch!
I got the quartz version of the Omega Seamaster and I loved it. I always called it the Goldeneye watch.
How much for the Spectre watch ?
Great watches
Did you leave out the Skyfall AquaTerra?
Focusing on the watches that have appeared in the Bond films. For me, the one that stands out the most is Spectre based on the Seamaster 300 1957 with the hour bezel and lollipop seconds hand. The twin barrel master COSC 60 hour power reserve 8400 Caliber is superb all the way. Genuine classic looking with modern component with a 15,000 Gauss anti-magnetism. So well built and will always retain its appeal throughout time. In the Seamaster 300M and the Planet Ocean the HEV/HRV being unnecessary as one would never go deep sea diving to the point that helium would need to escape the watch, so what was the point? The Aqua Terra being a good one BUT the current 8900 version better dial design would have been better. Roger Moore's 5513 Rolex Submariner being second (over the similar Dalton's 16610) Connery's Rolex 6538 being third.
