- The Doctor materializes on the edge of the Earth's orbit, and immediately realizes something horribly wrong -- everything has gone dark, including the cities, stars, even the sun.
And as the camera zooms out to reveal the TARDIS in never ending darkness, something has gone very wrong with the universe.

I've seen your TARDIS materialization video before, the one where it outlines the TARDIS before materializing, and I thought that always looked cool and I've been wanting to make something similar for the longest time! It's flattering to see you here, seeing as I also very much appreciate your work! ♥
@@filmicvisuals Oh sweet, I love to hear that. The outline project was super fun to do. Actually working on some more TARDIS stuff as we speak. Funny how the world works. Got a Wittaker model that im working on and a few other bits.
Wow! the visual fidelity in your work took a leap there! The wood grain, reflections and fog is just beautiful work.
Thank you! The wood grain was actually already present looong ago when I first made this model - I suppose it just took this long for it to be really noticeable, what with no lights at all except for the TARDIS. For sure, it only looks as good as it seems because there's literally nothing else in frame -- it's been so long since I made VFX and I'm pretty sure I'm rusty, so this is just a warmup... maybe more videos... soon... again? 🤞

It's not a particularly complex VFX shot by any means, but it's something! I wanted the fog so that you could see the rays of light coming from the windows, and the top lamp, just to show how "alone" the TARDIS was in this sea of darkness. Inspired by the shots of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek: Beyond, I hope you guys like this short tidbit!

I use Blender for the rendering, and then Premiere and After Effects for the compositing and color correction. 😁
