Bates Nut Farm | Most Visited Pumpkin Patch in San Diego, California | Dog Costume Event

It’s a very American tradition to visit the pumpkin patch each fall. One of our favorite things to do this time of year is to pick our pumpkins and go to Bates Nut Farm.
This has been a Sanchez tradition for a few years now. Abby couldn’t come with us for this year’s visit, but Anthony and I decided to still go so you guys can see what is out in here and why this pumpkin patch is one of the most visited places in North County San Diego.
Bates Nut Farm is famous because of its beautiful picnic park areas, the farm zoo and the casual home environment. They are known for special events held throughout the year on the 100-acre ranch. For over 30 years, families have made it an annual tradition to come out to Bates during the month of October to celebrate the fall season. The Pumpkin Patch is the largest, oldest and most famous in San Diego.
The Pumpkin Patch event starts in mid-September, and it ends on October 31st.
The Parking is free from Monday to Friday and on weekends you have to pay $10.
Aside from live entertainment and music, this even offers Fun activities include Hayrides, Pony Rides, Mechanical Bull, Face Painting, Rock Climbing, Bounce and Slides.
$2 tickets can be used towards any activities, but they cannot be used for food vendors.
