Apple Watch for sure I would not just get an Apple Watch for fitness I would also use it for its cellular capabilities and ability to not have to bring your phone places
Fitbit needs to partner with Spotify and needs the ability to respond to text messages on the Versa and I would be sold.

Tamu Joyner Apple Watch is more accurate. the fitbit just overestimate ur calories burned and Steps and it has limited activities
Y'all out here arguing about the Fitbit versa and the Apple watch. But in reality the fitbit was made for tracking workouts and the apple watch was made to be a phone on your wrist. There is up and downs for both products but you are saying if one product is better than each other but they were made for two different purposes. Choose your battle.
CrimsonKonix I haven’t actually seen anything definitive about Apple Watch being more accurate-could you provide your source for this? The price was identical, and I already have the best iPhone there is at least for the next week or two, so it’s fitness accuracy I was focused on-I picked the FitBit for that reason. Now I’m worried-but I’ve not seen this info from anyone but you-did you base this on personal experience-like the people posting these videos, did you purchase both? . My purchase is still in transit so I can certainly return it and buy the other-and if it is truly more accurate, I’ve definitely made the wrong choice. Thanks!
@@Asylus08 um... Fitbit is specifically KNOWN to be accurate. I think you don’t know how to read the numbers on it... the counter in your BMR too that’s why it shows a high number... Fitbit is definitely the win for fitness accuracy
@@utoobah Fitbits are notoriously inaccurate. Mine counts steps while I'm sitting at my desk. I can walk 50 steps in my house and it'll tell me I've walked 80. When using the GPS it has me running over rivers, lakes, through buildings, over cars, etc. It's an absolute joke. Heart readings can exceed 240 bpm. I've had it track 110 bpm while sitting.
Why are people so obsessed with answering calls and texts via the watch??? That's what phones were made for. The fitbit is by far the superior fitness and sleep tracker and the battery life puts the Apple to shame. Buy an Apple watch and all you are doing is paying for the name.
They are obsessed with answering calls and text on the watch because your not always going to be around your phone . Especially when your phone is in charge .. and you are doing things around the house , like cooking , cleaning ect. Apple actually has a way better sleep tracker app, even though you pay for the app it is definitely worth it(coming from someone who never paid for an app before) yes the fit bit has way better battery but that because the Apple does way more things than it so of course it’s going to have a better battery life ... I paid 275 for a brand new Apple Watch series 3(wireless,gps) so it’s worth it for me .
mijnmooiewereld I don't want or need to try it, I have a Samsung S9 and a fitbit Versa. I don't want any Apple product. I had to borrow my brother in laws spare iPhone 6 for a few weeks and can honestly say it wasn't anywhere near as good as an android phone. Just my point of view. I prefer android and other people prefer Apple. It's a case of each to their own I suppose.
Because sometimes the phone is in your pocket or bag and it might not be as important as whatever you’re doing - so you can just glance and ignore it. I think it’s a great feature on both devices. I have both and I find that fitness tracking is a lot more simpler and intuitive on the Fitbit than the rings on the Apple Watch.

I love the Apple Watch, but seriously miss the Fitbit community. Having all of the fitness details on one App (and having the ability to do challenges) sure would help the Apple Watch tremendously.

Wow! That is what I miss when I upgraded from my Charge 2 to my Apple Watch series 4 is that the Fitbit app is amazing!! I love all the groups and posting things.

Fit bit straps are so damn hard to switch out but I still choose Fitbit all day long. It’s best for ppl who use it for more fitness related things.. obviously

I like that in the fitbit app you can add friends and set challenges.
I feel that the Apple Watch is a mini wrist phone with apps to load vs being a fitness tracker first.
If anyone is planning to get a Apple Watch I would 100% recommend the Nike + version

I got the Versa special edition and have been using it for 3 days now. The battery life is not as good as my Charge 2, as I'm only getting about 3 or so days, but that's still better than I guess I'd get on an Apple Watch, so I'm happy. The bands are an absolute nightmare to change, however.
You kinda left out one of the most powerful features of the fitbit... that is the sleep tracking cycle... with 4plus days battery life.. you kinda can only have the fitbit.. the Apple watch is useless as a sleep tracker..
people who work night shifts and have hectic schedule who want to see if they have had enough sleep fit it is the only option

My 3 biggest point...battery life, price, apps (track data) fit bit wins in all categories. I will not toggle through multiple apps just to track something down. That's a little ridiculous to me lol

I like both watches and currently own a first series Apple Watch. Looking for a replacement. I love that the Fitbit Versa has a long battery life and able to track sleeping. Man it a hard decision.
Absolutely wonderful review!!!!!! Very detailed. Thank you very much. Fitness first for me, Fitbit all the way. I have everything else apple but the apple watch does not serve my need. I do like the integrated GPS in the apple watch. Also, the Fitbit bands are just difficult. This is my 3rd gen Fitbit device, charge 1 and 2 bands were easier to remove and replace.

What was ridiculous about it was that the one woman one how to change the Apple watch strap but the other woman had never changed a Fitbit strap. Once she knew how, she was able to change it in about the same time as the Apple watch.

I have a Fitbit versa and I like it, one fact that when someone is calling you you can answer or decline your call and you have a alarm and you can control Netflix you can pause and skip to the the next episode

You can download a GPS on the downloading section on apps and you can also download Spotify on the website as well and you can connect it to your playlist
Versa has normal watchband connectors, with the little trigger. These are actually easier to use than the ones without the little trigger.
I must say that I am currently having my eye on obtaining a workout watch. I, personally, liked the video. Instead of being bias you two were able to simply talk about the product and the experience you received from the product. I can say that I am truly a die hard workout guy. When I workout I rather be disconnected from my phone because text messages and phone calls will hinder my workout progress. I say all that to say that you ladies helped me to decide as to which watch I will purchase. Thank you!!!
To change the Fitbit band you have to insert it at an angle
At first it takes a little while, but I have had mine for less than a month and I can change it in like 2 seconds
Hello from South Africa, I was a huge fan of the Charge 2 HR which I "Donated" to my fiance as she needed it for her Pilates. Her Alta HR did not pick up her Pilates. Since I have been using the Blaze which in my opinion is not in the same league. My question is this, how much difference would I notice between my Blaze and the Versa?
As long as you bring your phone, you can do basic controls for any audio player right on the Apple Watch from the “now playing” screen. It’s not that big of a deal to just use Spotify from your iPhone if it means that much to you
I own the Versa and the step tracker is extremely sensitive. The smallest vibrations, even air conditioning, counts as steps. It shows me at 2k steps before I even wake up. It is a great product, but I’d wait until it gets updated before purchasing it.
You can set the wrist you wear it on as dominant and it'll get less sensitive. I was worried about this too as I speak French and gesticulate all the time, but this seems to solve it. At least when I tried it, I don't own one myself yet.

I have been wearing Apple Watch since Nov 2015 (not too long after it came out). The heart rate monitor bump is something I don’t even feel. I really don’t understand why people talk about it all the time.
Both of my fitbit watches(charge 2, Blaze) just randomly stopped charging after owning them for a short period of time which is making me lean more towards an apple watch, but the price and battery have me hesitating. What do you guys think?

It’s hard once your trained to the convenience of the Apple Watch. But, that said, the Apple Watch makes fitness sooo incredibly difficult and it’s information so hidden amongst a labyrinth of applications...
Do you go with the fitness forward and learn to live with out the convenience factor of Siri on the wrist (for example)

But I would miss not being able to answer calls and respond to messages. But on the Fitbit website you can get an app called yo were you can respond to messages using an emoji.
Can Apple make the bezels smaller and have a 15 to 20 percent larger screen? I love the Apple Watch, but I will wait until the time is right to buy it. Maybe in a few years when it is ready like the iPhone X or later.

You’re not supposed to wear it too tight to ensure optimal sensing. Apple’s included documentation specifies not to.

I love my apple watch. Only down side is the battery. I used to have the fitbit blaze and the battery life on the applewatch is pathetic compared to fitbit. Great video!

So I use Spanish & English to dictate on the Apple Watch & it’s great in both languages you just have to force touch the screen to switch between language dictations
the conclution is every smartwatch have a good side and a bad side
Finally someone understands that both these watches have pros and cons how if you want something that is mainly about fitness get the fit bit but the if not get the apple watch plus the fit bit is cheaper
I enjoyed the Fitbit for the fitness and sleep apps, but sadly it would not stay connected to my iPhone. Constant rebooting phone and watch to get them to sync was a deal breaker. I now have an Apple watch and its connection is seamless.
Ever think that Apple might just have something to do with that. It wouldn't surprise me if they aren't causing some problem with the fitbit connectivity to try and get iPhone users to go with their eco system exclusively.

I just want to know what the Versa build quality is. I gave up on Fitbit. I've gone through three Charges (one original, a replacement, then the Charge 2). I gave up after the band broke off the Charge 2. I'm not spending more money on a new band

I just got a Fitbit Versa for Christmas and I’ll say it’s amazing♥️ Apple Watch is pretty much a phone but in watch form. Of course people would want an Apple Watch because of the features and it’s name, but give the Versa a break. Not everyone is able to afford a $500 watch. Fitbit Versa is just as good. Fitbit specializes in fitness tracking. It doesn’t specialize in acting as a phone. Maybe they can add the feature of replying to texts and calls in the future to the Versa. I enjoy that all the features to the Versa, and am happy that the price is more affordable. I love the battery life too! 4+ day battery life is so much more comfortable and better for those who forget to charge their watch. However, for Apple, you have to remember to charge it and charge it often. I think people say the Apple Watch is better because of the phone like features. But personally, I couldn’t choose which one is better, they’re both great in their own ways :)

I also love that it sends me reminders 10mins before the hour to get up & walk to meet my step requirements for the day. I bought fitbit versa after my apple watch 3 screen cracked. Apple stated they cant repair just the screen and asked me to buy a new apple watch ..my warranty is still intake. Wtf apple??? Anyway i am happy with my versa!

cnn yeah my Apple Watch broke where the sensor is the whole back came off from one drop and apple tried to charge me to send it out to them and pay for repair. I haven’t bought an Apple Watch again, so I’m looking for the best option right now but I do miss my Apple Watch, but I’m also thinking of switching over to android mobile also. I’m going to make my decision by the first of the year.

I have an IPhone so I may just end up getting the Apple Watch, for easy syncing of recorded data to Apple health app, where as fit bit you need to log into the Fitbit app, then login into another app to move data from Fitbit to the health app.
I have the fitbit versa special edition because most of my apple watches end up getting a cracked or popped screen

I have both the watches and today while playing tennis, the apple watch heart rate got stuck at 188 bpm and another time got stuck at 158bpm. For the Fitbit versa, it always kept on changing every second. And thats what I like, that when I am playing hard, what's my heart rate at that point
I think the only thing that separates Apple Watch to the Versa is the sleep tracker feature! I absolutely LOVE FitBits sleep tracker and the detail of information in one app! My husband has to “manually” have to enter his sleep and has no details on his Sleep Rem, how long he was in a deep sleep, awake and etc! If you guys can compare the sleep tracker features, that will be GREAT! Plus he has a hard time to locate his “steps” from the day on the watch like the Fitbit. He always has to go to the app and search three all 3 apps. Fit bit 1app - Apple Watch 3 plus more apps! Edit: Do Apple Watch have a Challenges like FitBit? I am very competitive with my fellow FitBit friends and we do weekly challenges.
I feel there’s a place for both. I picked up a versa in hopes of making it thru long 14+hr shifts. My Apple Watch has to be charged on one of my breaks. I don’t have many apps on it, just weather. It’s nice getting notifications and replying back. I’m hoping versa will get this soon.

I love Fitbit and I'm happy they're finally getting closer to a smartwatch/sportwatch combo but I must admit the Apple Watch still looks better. For some reason, the Fitbit to me looks like plastic still, especially the black version. It's just more attractive overall. However, I refuse to get an iPhone to be able to get an Apple Watch so this is a good enough alternative for us Android users. Can't wait to see what Fitbit do next!
