Amazing 1 oz examples of some of your Engelhard, collection. Thanks for taking the time too explain the different variations, as im trying too soak up as much knowledge as i can on the Engelhard & Johnson matthey brands.. Have a good week SBS..
Thank you Shawn! Haha, you're at the right place, because those are primarily what I obsess over. Thank you for watching brother. Have a great week ahead!
@@silverbarstacker Yes I do no you love your Engelhard and Johnson Matthey, I try an catch every video you put out for that reason. As I said before you no your stuff when it comes too them 2 names. 😮 Uh oh! That might need to change! As I do run the store, I often do have duplicates of items I collect. Feel free to reach out and maybe we can fill some gaps in the collection! www.silverbarstacker.com/contact
Thank you! Yeah, the Impex bars are ultra elusive and hard to find. I rarely ever see them come up! There are so many storage solutions for 1oz bars. I can definitively say I'm not a huge fan of tubes for 1oz bars. I prefer a solution where I can easily view them. I enjoyed Silver Struck's album solution, but I generally tend to use either boxes or else I create things into SBS "Stack Packs" and store them like one would store graded cards.
Very nice collection of bars there👍👊 I need quite a few of those bars you have,I have club of kings bar was probably my most I've paid for a one ounce bar, while selling a couple of colonial bars on Ebay I ran across a Ebayer with questions, came to find out he ran across 100 plus colonial bars where seller or himself didn't know what they had, think he said he paid around 23.50 a bar at first I didn't believe him but he sent photos of the bars,he wanted to know if I wanted to buy them he also was in Texas a few hours away thanks for the mention 👊👍
Yeah I'd have to say the same for me. The Club of Kings bars are truly hard to find. That's a crazy story about the Colonial bars! Really makes me think about the mintage figures on those bars now, lol! Thanks for watching brother.
You have an amazing collection of collectable vintage bars! SAW gifted me one of those Colonial bars, very nice of him. Got your email but will take me some time to review and reply!
Hey SBS. Some how I misses this vid a few months back. My B. Excellent examples and knowledge shared in this vid sir! Thanks for sharing your bodacious 1oz stack and knowledge with us👍 I have a few 1oz bars but im definitely into the bigger bars such as 10oz, 20oz, 50oz and 100oz. I forgot 5oz, 3oz and 1oz. I just like em all! JM or Englehard any size its for 😂😂😂 Im sure u get it???
Thanks brother :) Thank you for your continued support! Feel free to reach out if you are ever looking for any particular bars to fill gaps in your collection!
Very nice collection! Thanks for showing. I have learned a lot from you and the different variations of these bars are crazy. I have several of these but didn't know there were that many different ones. Good info bro, thanks again.
Awesome man! I just saw one of those sell today and only just realized the gold standard mirror backs came in the fancy seal this morning as opposed to the frosted back which are in the cheaper cellophane seals. Awesome pickup man!
We regularly have many different types of 1oz Engelhard bars available on our Silver Bar Stacker online storefront: www.silverbarstacker.com/shopall?Filter=Engelhard&sort=price_ascending Unfortunately, we do not specialize in RCM products, so those are not something we regularly have available. Luckily, we do have one discontinued factory sealed vintage RCM bar, which is currently available in our SBS Exclusives section of the website: www.silverbarstacker.com/product-page/sealed-royal-canadian-mint-rcm-1oz-silver-bar-serial-b017324 (this is the only one we have available so you would get the exact bar that is pictured). Hope that helps! Please check back regularly as we are always adding new products :) You may also want to explore other online bullion stores, auction houses, or local coin shops for other options!
This type of stacking is very dangerous because it’s a special collector that would want these bats they were made for silver content only and to pay more over spot for vintage is super risky and if the wheels come off your not going to be able to say hold up this bar is vintage so I need double but I guess if you know that going in and your only doing it for pleasure then what’s the harm
There is such a thing as compartmentalizing and diversifying your stack and engaging in some level of risk assessment :) also, not everyone pays the same amount for everything. For example, I paid my suppliers $31/round for some prospector rounds the past few weeks whereas my lcs would likely only pay me around $23/round. Many often feel they can only sell to one place or in one way but in fact there are many ways to buy and sell.
That is part of the 500,000 minted EI-1AV1 series of commercial landscape style bars. They are a more common Tier 5 bar but not the most common! Nice pickup!
I believe that vintage silver is cool but it has a high premium and when it's time to sell you'll only get what silver is worth that day unless you can find those special collectors
Yup, it definitely depends on who you sell to and that’s one of the biggest considerations when deciding to purchase vintage or collectible silver. Most stores treat all bullion like bullion, so it’s best to sell p2p to like-minded collectors when dealing with collectibles
@@silverbarstacker Since I found your video, I picked up a JM 10 oz bar, an eagle 10 oz engelhard, and a square pressed 10 oz engelhard. Im looking for a 10 oz engelhard with the E the front for under $300
@@cjfromda504 good finds! keep an eye out! I have been buying many 10oz vintage bars lately. That is about the lowest I’ve ever been able to acquire them for our store, even when buying in bulk, but you can still get lucky with one off purchases if you keep your eye out! We, unfortunately currently have the E logo bars priced for $360 unsealed and $380 sealed, but we have other options that might be better deals than that specific bar type. Our random design engelhard 10oz listing is $335, but that is still higher than your target price. Good luck on your hunt!
@silverbarstacker Thanks for responding; On ebay JM Bullion has a store and they run spontaneous sales on JM and Engelhard bars; JM bar was $291 and the engelhard eagle was $299; $300 from my LCS for the square pressed engelhard with the pebble back
@@cjfromda504 outstanding! I took part in both of those jm sales. They do run great promotions on eBay from time to time. I was actually able to pick up some of those frosted back square bars from them on another promotion they were running. That really helped lower our cost average on a lot of our 10oz offerings. Before, our prices were even higher on those three products. It seems we’ve been shopping a lot of the same sales :) nice work keeping an eye on the deals! I didn’t see many people actively availing those promotions, so I’m glad you were able to.
Best thing to do would be to check recently sold comps for similar sold bars! The market is always changing. AllEngelhard.com does a good job of breaking down each bar type by rarity and so that gives you a general indicator of the valuation for bars. However, lower mintage doesn't always mean higher premium and vice versa!
eBay will likely be the marketplace that will put the most amount of eyes on it. That is an extremely rare bar and it would fetch a very high premium in front of a seriously interested buyer (such as myself). However, there is a very small pool of buyers willing to pay such a high premium. So, in my view, you will fetch a better premium selling it as a buy it now listing for the fair market value. An auction, especially with spot prices low, may result in an unfavorable closing price for you and you may leave some money on the table by rushing the sale in an auction format.
