Thanks to beading and to Christophe for the left-hand thread hint. I found a screwdriver handle that fit the plastic "socket" well. On our KSB1570XL, the fuse is an SEFUSE, SF139E, JET142 deg C, 10A, 250V. Indeed, Amazon has a replacement.
thank you very much for sharing this video I repair coffee makers fans heaters the only problem is the thermal fuse thank you very much for sharing this problem
Thank you very much for this video. Now I know why you can buy the "Blender Control Assembly for KitchenAid" for $58.29. It is because once people are faced with an unresponsive machine that put up a light display, they conclude that something must be wrong with the control circuit. Before I found your video, I looked for a cheap control panel on E-bay but only found a used one for $21 and change. When I opened the machine, at some point bI disconnected the motor and obtained the same blinking light result. I should have replaced the motor by ab light bulb by simply cutting the two wires that power the bulb and pushing the wires over the two pins that power the motor. connecting an external motor (like fan motor) would even work better, but the bulb would be quieter if troubleshooting at night. In my model the spindle could not be removed. I therefore soldered another thermal fuse parallel to the burned open one. I have the ksb5wh which is difficult to bring the motor down from the casing. I removed the coupling and the screws below, however cannot get it out of the casing. Also I have a fuse with a rubber cover that's connected between the red wire to the motor and red wire to the board. I am wandering if this is used in place of the circuit. I am having a problem seeing which circuits you are using to see if they are open or closed, due to your hand covering the process. If you help me fix this blender it will be well appreciated. Thank You Ms. Lowe
Good day, afternoon or evening, depending on the moment of reading the message, I have a KitchenAid Model lighter: KBS560MC1, which presents a problem with the blade and its base where it fits and works. I have tried to open it to disarm its engine and perform maintenance on the coals, I live in Caracas, Venezuela and because of the special circumstances in which my country is, I appreciate and care more for my appliances, thanks for your advice, if you can explain me the way to open without damaging your engine and even to perform maintenance on your coals, I'll appreciate it. See you soon, health and greetings from Caracas, capital of Venezuela, waiting for your answer.
Hello Daniel, Here is the best way I can walk you through the steps to get the KitchenAid open. From the bottom of the base, under the rubbers find the screws and undo them. With the bottom piece off you now have clear access to the motor. On the Axel on the motor you will find a slot that takes a flat screwdriver to hold in place. Use that to tighten the motor so that it doesn't turn as you try an unscrew the coupling from the top. While you keep the axel locked , turn the coupling clockwise to undo. Once the coupling is off from the top, you can safely remove the motor and have access to the rest of the screws. Good luck !
Hi do you think it will be the same problem on a kitchen aid artisan 5SKB555EERO? I have a filter between the rope and the logic board? Could that cause the blinkings?
Beading -No i did not, was thinking if the issue of blinking lights could just come from the thermal fuse, or it could come from the other parts, I was trying to narrow the problem. I got issues removing the coupling on this one to pull out the motor and get to the fuse. Thanks for replying back.
Very good tutorial, thanks. Just fyi, on my blender the black plastic gear which drives the blades, and prevents the motor to be taken apart cannot, repeat cannot be unmounted with a flat wrench. Instead you have to use the screw that holds the fan from one side of the rotor and use a 21 hex male wrench to be placed inside the female plastic gear to unscrew it, and the bastard is (1) probably glued and (2) has an inverted thread, that is you have to screw in to effectively screw it out. Clever as it tights the gear when motor is running, but ... For the 142 Celsius thermal fuse, you can get them on Amazon or Alibaba. And I'd love to nuke the bozos at K.A. who decided to place the fuse in such an inconvenient location. I soldered longer wires and put the new fuse on the motor body but on the bottom so it can be changed way more easily.

Got a KSB1575MC with the same issue. Besides the thermal fuse, can the board, or motor also produce blinking lights? Thanks in advance.
Did you check the thermal fuse??? Did you take it apart to look at it ????
