Thanks for this found one of these for 5 bucks at my work today (i work at goodwill) and it was filthy so i had to clean it took it apart and couldn't get it back together this definitely helped
Thanksss, I needed to see where each piece went
Excelente explicación. Yo tengo una y a veces no recuerdo cómo armarla saludos desde Colombia
Great I have a Carousel gum ball machine king in my room. I can finally see what’s inside
I have one and it is really cool! People come over alot at my house and buy some jelly beans, and I take the money and fill up the machine when it's empty.
Thanks for this video. My daughter put a foreign coin in it and it got stuck. Your video helped me save our beloved machine.
Fun stuff. 👍
just thrifted one of these.. glad i found your video to figure out how to use it!
Excellent assembly instructions and narrating.. I bought exactly this same one in new condition from Craigslist selling site. Took it apart to clean just in case of lingering manufacturing oils inside the base then forgot how it went back together properly. So glad I found you here. Thanks a heap.
Merry Christmas! You are Welcome
Eventually the spring and tongue will get misaligned... so i made a vid for that too! I had mine for about 6 or 7 years at my cubicle with all my coworkers using it daily. So with that much use, the screw to the tongue gets loose. Here is the fix ua-cam.com/video/rgxXNrD6ces/v-deo.html
thanks nice video !
Yep it’s true
I’ve just got this from a boot fair complete with box and tags for £3. My 5 year old daughter loves them so when we saw this couldn’t say no.
Totally fun to see it work. 😄
There is a little cup that goes on the bottom of the machine that is suppose to catch the coins ... possibly the company has that part and you can replace it.
Man I was hoping this was the original 1985 replica. I have one, only thing that isn't original is my spider ring
I've recently purchased a brand new gumball machine and when the quarter is inserted, it won't fully turn. If you have any thoughts, I'd really appreciate it! (:
I need a glass globe ,1985
Nice video Sir, I love it and I willbuy one for my 4 years old daughter , she love it ! I have 1 question , do you think it will fit and connect with the metal leg ? And does it really need to have its base screwed it back on ? Thanks
I think there is a metal stand for this.
It will fit either a stand, this one shown wont as it isnt a real one,the jr has a metal base with a threaded hub for 1" npt pipe or one of their stands or any universal gumball machine
What makes the turning mechanism stick or not turn at all?
My machine that I bought at a second hand store for $20.00 (bought it for my 8yr old granddaughter) has 1985, symbol for Registered trademark, the top of a Carousel, and the letters Carousel imprinted on the pewter type metal. Is my machine a replica of a 1985 trademarked Carousel? Mines also has the black stand with four legs/feet. Thanks for any feedback and for posting this video. All the lettering is on the upper left corner of the face plate.
I have no idea, maybe someone else may know.
From where you take this
The cog on the back of my coin mechanism doesn't reach out far enough to turn the dispensing wheel.
Any advice on what I could do to fix it?
Missing parts? Or is tongue bent? I has to bend mine back after a few years....
@@SterlingW8 It doesn't look like there is anything missing. It's as if the dispensing 'hopper' has shrunk as it no longer reaches the cog on the back of the coin mechanism.
🤷
i found one of these but it is metal on the bottom and dosent screw apart and have to take entire machine apart instead but missing the top, i guess that is the real non bank one?
Not sure... the plastic bottom on mine is weak
What makes the turning mechanism hard to turn or not turn at all?
There is a metal guide inside that stops it.
Beli dimana kakak 💪💪💪
good video. Ive taken mine apart and the arm that stops it from turning backwards seems to not work, does it need a spring to keep it in place, it just pushes out od the way can you help with advice?
not sure. time to take it apart and see if there are any broken or missing parts in the mechanism. have fun!
+pecka2k theres a spring in the mechanism, it may be a broken part inside the turning mechanism. The majority of the internals of mine were metal.
Salve, sono Girolamo Bongiovanni, sono in possesso del gumball machines 15", avrei bisogno solamente della palla di vetro, la vendete singolarmente come ricambio, se si quanto costa?
Eventualmente la spedizione è in Italia, Sicilia.
Grazie, Girolamo Bongiovanni
I bought a carousel gumball machine like this. For some reason it won't take a quarter. It gets stuck every time. Other coins work just fine. Do you know why this would happen?
It could be the back plate is too tight
Can you make it receive only one type of coin ?
no the it just slots in
How much would this be worth today?
You can still buy them today. They still say 1985 on the front. I doubt this gumball machine in the video is actually from 1985. Newer ones might have more plastic parts, though.
The replicas (with the stand) are around $55
