    Asimov is also in the public domain and has a library of outstanding short stories, some of the best there are if you ask me

    What about Gerald durrell's trilogy that starts with "my family and other animals," and "aunts, relatives and other animals", though I don't know if they are in the public domain...

    Don't listen to the whiners. You have an excellent reading voice, and if it bothers them so much, they can post their own version... It won't sound like yours though.

    This really needs to be read with a working class British accent, not a nasal American one. I do not mean to be harsh, but it's jarring to hear British pounds described in an attempt at a 30s American gangster voice.
    You have a pleasant voice. Have you thought of trying to learn accents? I had to learn poetry on a foreign language for school and listening to it, then recording myself reciting it and listening to both to find where my pronunciation needed work did the trick for me...

    Not good voice for sleeping.It does make a difference😢
