This is brilliant. Thank you so very much for your generosity in sharing this. These types of audiobooks means the world to so many of us, especially in these past years.
Great narration and good story. I do think that the last chapter, although perhaps a helpful summation and review for some people, was not really necessary.
It's so soothing to be reminded of past decades, when life was so much more ordered, and calmer. So thankyou for posting these stories. We have never as before been in need of of escape òut of this very harsh world. Thankyou , I have never come across this author before, or heard of him. Would love to know more about the author.
I collect George Bellairs and enjoyed this very much. Thankyou. The authors dry northern humour isn't coming through in the reading though and I always think of Littlejohn as "middle" middle class.
What year was the book first published never read or heard an inspector Littlejohn . Well written and very well read. Helped me through a sleepless night in hospital with my 1st Covid and at 71 yoa. Thank you 🙏🏻
This story finishes at 5:14, then there is really objectionable music (which will come as a big shock if you are going to sleep). I suggest setting a timer to stop the story at this point to avoid the ‘music’
Why is this titled as Book 1? The first Inspector Littlejohn novels is "Littlejohn on Leave". The Case of the Famished Person is the 15th book in the series.
Really enjoyed listening but had to stop listing has i didn't want to know who the murder was so i went to kindle unlimited and to download the 1st 2 books which i had to start right away thank you
@@katharinebarker5222it's more uneven....sometimes flows, and sometimes halting. I think the actor is struggling with some of the accents. And....not to pronounce Eire correctly? Puhleeeese!
In the beginning he says Venus and jupiter. Venus is never in Jupiter it may be conjunct Jupiter or in some aspect to jupiter. Both are planets. The planets can be in the signs. LOL
How nice to have a male reader who doesn’t sound like he has a mouth filled with of spit or marbles 🥰

It was first published in 1949. Hope you get well soon.
Gratitude! A Most enjoyable discovery!
Enjoy books that are not full of bad language and sex. Thank you.
This is brilliant! Thank you so very much…. So grateful
Nice clear voice
Yes and he is very able of performing a whole lot of differently sounding voices as he impersonates (the) different characters in the story!
good one - thanks
I loved Harry Keast and his made up words.😂❤
Really enjoyed thanks, wish there were more.....

I don't know why the music in some of these stories is so loud and brassy sometimes...
Indian music is bloody awful
Thank you so much for sharing.
Thoroughly enjoyable
Fabulous! Thank you.
Grateful. Thank you

Very good, but I suspect our author was paid by the word!
‘With all the time of geology at their disposal’
Constable met on the road reminds me of Phil Harding
But why was the parson famished?I think I missed something.
He fasted too much
Where is part 2?
Book 2 not available now?
Do you mean the 'effort' of listening to this one is unsatisfactory be cause the story does not end here? Or should I still enjoy this story as is?
@@harrickvharrick3957 busted! Enjoy!!🤗
@@katherinejones850 ? Does this book have an ending of is own, or is the reader supposed to learn what happens further in a to 2nd iteration?
Something to look forward too 😊
Beautiful clarity in the narration. I would have liked the story to have had more women characters.

Thank you for a human reader. AI is sterile and presents an unpleasant listening experience.
Obsequious😢 Obsequious portentiousness Harbinger of doom
Where is book 2...
Are we all insomniacs?
Yes
Why no synopsis
The reading is robotically emphatic.
Apt concise description of the narrator.

Its ikabod not itch a bod
I've still no idea about the date of the story. I'm off.
Rictus sardonicus not rhesus.
Sounds like a robot reading

Clichéd, badly written.
Rubbish.

I've listened to it. It's awful

Good reader. Bad story.

It said Venus and Jupiter in good aspect which means a sextile or trine.
Venus came into a predawn conjunction with Jupiter on April 30, 2022 according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
Unfortunately 14 minutes in and the bland robotic voice has put me off completely.
I just can't get into this at all 😢
I would prefer a different format not that is boring but a will fall asleep very quickly!!!!!!!!!!! if your an insominiac fine!!!!!!!
Thank you
thank you
