Mothball Mountain Playthrough - RollerCoaster Tycoon - OpenRCT2

In this Roller Coaster Tycoon playthrough video, we tackle Mothball Mountain where we have to attract 800 guests to a hilly forest by the end of year 3, with a park rating of at least 600.
As always we smashed our objective with lots of custom rollercoasters!
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 are Theme Park Management Simulation games, created by the legendary Chris Sawyer. In this video, I am playing OpenRCT2, a modded version of the game that introduces some bug fixes, cool new features, and quality of life improvements.

@@azungu1190 I think we all are, but after seeing so many great parks on youtube, things like large sections of (especially wooden) coasters over water, unrealistically long sections of track without supports (due to scenery or paths), etc just feel "wrong".

I watch for the roller coaster tycoon vids. It could be your bread and butter but experimenting with other games you want to play is not a bad idea. Most UA-cam gamers don’t just play one game. Think big homie.

Thanks! I’m only using RCT1 and 2 with their expansions played through OpenRCT2, and I don’t have any other mods. I’m no expert and had to consult tutorials to get it set up. Perhaps you have to make sure your game files are in the right place so OpenRCT2 knows where to open them from?

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic appears to be compatible with Mac OS according to Steam, but idk if that still holds true with all of Apple’s recent updates.
OpenRCT2 is compatible with Mac, but last time I tried it 4-5 years ago, it was so buggy it was unplayable. Might have been fixed by now though.
Might want to look at both options. Note that OpenRCT2 will only launch if you have the game files somewhere on the computer. My recommendation would be to buy RCT Classic and see how well it works, and if it doesn’t, try linking the files to OpenRCT2.
