I love how authentic it looks on the outside. If you don’t watch these type videos you may end up there and think “oh an abandoned shipping container , nothing to see here “ then leave .. thats how id like mine to be 😂
Seems the builder/owner on this one wanted to save as much money as possible. And for not being labeled as “cheap” or “ugly”, they use the word “alternative”. Indies love it. Your channel has amazing content, but I dont think of anything in special for this one. Still, great job showing everything and thanks for sharing with us.
Yoran, Our goal is to reuse and recycle. Most of the furniture items were purchased second hand through the local hospice resale store. Those proceeds benefiting patient care. The kitchen cabinet was purchased from the worldly known Timken steel Company. This cabinet was utilized in one of the labs. All of the doors and windows were purchased from the local Provia Company. The floor is new plywood but I used industrial fasteners to resemble the original floor. My goal is to keep the container looking like a shipping container or not a modern, hidden home. 😊
Hi Debra, our goal is for our guests to reconnect and renew. The thought of limiting social media and screen time Is what we are going for here. I do offer Wi-Fi for families to stay connected. I also offer boardgames, the hot tub, fireplace, and plenty of hiking options.
Nice video! Was their any reinforcement done to support the roof? I assume rain would just fill the troughs and run off but it seems snow would be an issue. I've heard the original roofs aren't that strong.
I wish the AirBnB UA-camrs tell us the size of the bed. I have seen many UA-camrs doing the AirBnB and house/condo tours and 95% of them forget to mention the bed size. With the camera angle and lens used, it is hard to guess the actual size of the bed. Just a suggestion for your future videos.
I’m sorry but I really don’t care for this one. I always click on your videos the moment a notification comes through. 90% of the time you manage to find the most extraordinary getaways. The architecture along with the interior is definitely the reason I try to watch your channel. I’m usually inspired by the decor but this one leaves me super disappointed. I am faithful to a fault, so I’ll tune in with expectations of your next adventure. 😉
Beatrix, Our interior cannot please everyone. However our goal was to reuse and recycle. Most of our products and furniture came from a local hospice resale store. Our kitchen cabinet came from the World famous Timken steel Company. I was aiming for it to not feel like a modern expensive hotel like other containers. 🥰

I love this , omg I just got my 40ft container from Wuwi Shipping Container very cheap and even paid it upon delivery. cant wait to start working.
I would love to live there having my own land and space to exist !
You should build your own container home!
Quite a cozy get away from the busyness of the world for a couple or two couples. Simple, quiet, country & clean! Bring your bicycles for a stroll!
Thanks for watching! Agreed :)

How much price for all materials?

Thanks for the feedback! I include the bed size in some videos but will try and do it more often. This was a queen sized mattress I believe
Nice

Don't the contaminant of being metal make it harder to keep cool ?
Depends on insulation
It could be better than traditional building. Think about a yeti cooler. Metal on outside. Spray foam in the middle. Finish the inside however 😂
Actually, keeping it warm is more of the struggle. We used pink insulation as well as spray foam.
who was the genius that put the electric outlet right by the water faucet ?
Unfortunately with 300 ft.² or less, outlet placement is crucial. This is a GFI, rest assured.
