Very nicely built...except not a place for long term. The cool pipes under the bathroom sink would eventually become a problem, as one must have a space for things...it would have been better utilized for storage underneath. I also noticed there was almost zero space allotted for clothing...boots...shoes etc...and who needs a Wine Rack?????? This of course is a vacation home...so, not necessary for long term considerations. Beautiful place....made by a 'Team'...etc...

Here in Europe used shipping containers cost the same as brand new living containers and you don't have to insulate or wire anything, so I really don't understand why anyone would use a shipping container that was used to transport some dangerous chemical.

@@suzettecalleja3122 thats exactly what i was thinking. I noticed there was no tv. If there was a tv, that wall where the bed is would be perfect for the tv and a couch where the headboard is. They could have put the bed where the couch is and have a pull out bed or a bed that comes down out of the wall

Very clean functional and good looking design, but as others pointed out the bed and couch should be switched. Btw I guess it has solar energy, but what do they do for water? Rain, creek, water delivery or..?

    This is very beautiful🤩🤩
Especially the inspirational piece of furniture to maximize function and is supported by an interior that feels warm because it uses wooden ornaments
Modern exterior combined with wooden ornaments on the front
AND one of the advantages of a single container house is that when we enter the house we can reach the service area
I really need your assessment of some of the container house designs on my channel, because there are still many mistakes..😭😭

I like the aesthetic, the execution and the open layout. Could work for one person living full-time, only if they can manage with the under-seat and kitchen storage for EVERYTHING needed in daily life, including clothes, linens, electronics, books, maintenance items, etc. Maybe there's more storage under the bed? Also curious about provisions for airflow. My personal challenge with such places would be the lack of a clothes washer -- something I lived without for more than 15 years in a major metropolis and never want to do again.

Hmmm.... the bed right next to the kitchen is really not great. The cooking fumes will be on the pillow cases and everywhere else ...essentially sleeping in cooking fumes ... because it appears the exhaust fan is not powerful enough to remove odors. There are many clever ideas but I would have to rethink the bed. And the clear glass window in the shower -- a personal preference would be three-quarters frosted glass -- you can still get the outdoor effect without full exposure -- so to speak -- unless that's your preference. The benefit of frosted glass is that it does not pick up water streaks!

Thank you #NordVPN for sponsoring this video.
A really professionally designed and decorated trailer. The colour choices allow specific features to be enhance. The vertical window in the shower is a genius way to bring natural light into the bathroom. There is even room to add laundry in the future. The dining table is one of the smartest i've ever seen in a tiny home. While there is no need to find fault with this layout the bed would be a nightmare to deal with. Kind of surprised they didn't work in a Murphy bed but make it horizontal instead of vertical. This could be done if the kitchen and dining area were reversed. Thank you Repere Boreal for sharing your properties with us.

Shipping containers are treated for salt water exposure and don't rust either. They're stronger than your bldg and don't have to be built at all. They have their limitations, but your hard work didn't come cheap either.

Happy😄 Hello👋! I just subbed to your channel! After I viewed the Treehouse video, I'm hooked! It would be awesome if the Tiny Home Movement reached the East Coast of the US. The rental properties are insane and house prices are ridiculously expensive. At least this way, living life in my city of New York could be affordable for all. Especially with repurposed items such as shipping containers and even out of service subway train cars! That would be mind blowing, to say the least!! Blessings 🙏 to your business, your channel and your families❣

Beautiful. I love it... up until the cost is revealed, which is sadly not included in this video, but I can imagine - Price is very often the kryptonite for "tiny houses" and comparable facilities. It should be noted that this cabin seems designed for use as short-term lodging (such as a hotel model, minus hub resources) (Edit: It is - It is revealed towards the end of the video that this is a vacation rental), which, of course, is very different than a facility intended for extended/sustained living. All this typed, again, I like this building. It's beautiful - and this beauty is enhanced by the location. This video does come across like an ad.

Why does everyone point out the retractable clothes line (tiny house videos, rv videos, etc) like its a new innovative feature. These thing have been around for decades and are $15 on Amazon. This isn't new and innovative. Its certainly a nice touch and nice that builders think about adding it, but its always described like the general public has no idea what this amazing thing is. Just seems a little crazy to me. Beyond that, this is a beautiful and well designed tiny home/cabin, and a nice video.

    • @kgrant3184
      @kgrant3184 2 роки тому

Or. to make it dual-purpose, as an accessible covered deck with furniture that could be collapsed and hung flat on the walls to retain the view, or as a covered plant-growing area, or making those walls at least translucent, etc.
I agree, as is, it affects & limits the light/ view (though whilst providing a coccooning effect). and seems to just "frame the view & contain the space", without a clear purpose. Of course, given that this is a TINY home, undoubtedly the actual SIZE of that covered area is quite small - whch of cource NECESSITATES another additional use.
Still, the home is very nice! As long it is extremely well-insulated for our very cold winters - and equipped with space for dirty/ wet outer wear to hang and dry neatly (without completely destroying the aesthetic), I'd certainly live there. 😀 Thanks for sharing, and Cheers!
