You were absolutely right. Bought the game with my friend and in the 9 hours of playing the game I've found 1 single bug. And the performance is amazing. The game didn't crash a single time or drop any frame rates.

Just like Atomic Heart, this is another game that is very well optimized to every platform including the base Xbox One. Again Xbox One X has a better resolution than Series S but Series S features graphical enhancements and 60fps, another example of resolution and graphics being two different things. Considering the develpment hell this game went through, it came out really well.
If the one X had a better cpu, it could've handled 60fps, but it's held back by its shitty cpu. The series S has a good cpu but a really bad Gpu that's quite slower than the one X

@@applehazeva2739 no, it's the other way. The cpu and ram on the one X are straight up trash. It's the same cpu as the Xbox one. What the series S needs is the one X Gpu, which is over 35% faster, which would put it below the ps5 but much closer.
The problem with the series s is that in games that are not made for last generation too , it will only be able to do 900p 60fps because of less memory bandwidth and system memory and a weak gpu.
@@stevenjohnson4122 resolution doesn’t even matter when game’s implement FSR… look at cyberpunk and ghostwire for the series s… really low resolutions that look much higher because of the AI upscaling. That eliminates the resolution issue, and from the looks of it, more and more games are implementing it this generation.

This is what a developer should do to make their game run properly and look good on release. They made it look good even on the original Xbox One. Unlike some developers who get lazy and put in little to no effort on the Xbox Series S version and complain that it's because the console is underpowered

The base Xbox one is the thing I'm most surprised about. You see you have to make a game for the lowest denominator and then scale up and although the series s does have cutbacks compared to series x it's the very solid 60 I'm impressed about. Hope the pc version turns out great as well and please no shader comp stutters coz it runs and looks so good on all consoles

That is how you properly optimize a Xbox One co-op game which is something Gotham Knights completely failed to pull off because WB games Montreal is extremely incompetent and obviously was uneducated how to use unreal engine 4 They should have just stuck with unreal engine 3 since they did awesome with Arkham origins They could have even learned how to optimize Gotham Knights for Xbox One Just like Dead Island 2 on Xbox One runs at a dynamic 900p 30fps WB games Montreal could have done the same thing with Gotham Knights and run the game at dynamic 900p But they ignorantly chose not to use DRS They later added DRS After people complained 🤦♂️

When the One X released there was more options for 4K/30 or 1080/60P in games, I think its the developers....look at Halo Infinite its a open world game with options for 30 and 60.

Farcry 6, Hi-Fi Rush, Borderlands 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Crash Bandicoot 4, Resident Evil Village, Minecraft Dungeons, It Takes Two, Hades, Psychonauts 2, Sonic Generations, COD MW2 run at 1440p60 on Series S or even above.

I will get hate for this but I think it's time to faze out the Xbox one and just focus on the series consoles. I know it's a leap but we can't keep focus on them much more because the hardware is out of date and the series and ps5 systems are now more obtainable then before.
Series X is still pretty hard to come by. I think Microsoft has mostly turned them nto a sort of OEM repository for their cloud gaming services.

look if we're still debating which console is better (one x vs. series s) almost 3yrs after the release of new gen then the one x is definitely better sorry... and I'm pretty sure the one/one x/series s all have the same settings except the shadow and particle and ambient occlusion details on the one x and series x as well as the better texture on the series x 🤔...moving vegetation doesn't mean better honestly pretty sure the devs are trying to push new gen a bit more but either way it's not like you walk outside everyday and the wind is blowing...and while it's nice to have i think absolutely no one should be bragging about 60fps in a PVE game imo

The CPU isn't strong enough probably, seems like they had to cut animation on the vegetation to make it run, that or it's a bug.

It’s a tragedy that in 2023 with „next gen“ consoles and without RTX graphics cards we still can’t have real time reflections… we had this way back than in older games. Yes it was a trick and not a real reflection. But this was better then these new screen space reflections and parallax effects. 🥲😮💨
