It would suck because he’d have already KOed all the good heavyweights before they ever got a chance to be anyone, and he’d just be utterly demolishing sad underprepared mandatories. In foreman’s youth(not his prime, as he quit boxing before his prime), he was taking on legends and breaking them. In this era, they’d have done him like GGG and never given him a fight against any champions until the big money guys retired.

There’s a theory that foreman was drugged, there’s another theory that Ali had a mole who was one of foreman’s cornermen who was instructed to mislead him. (These are just theories but one of foreman’s cornerman I recall ended up switching to Ali’s team after the fight so). There’s a lot of theories to explain why foreman just wasn’t fighting like the foreman “we know” but it’s more likely revolving around his conditioning. Since he hadn’t had a fight go past 3 rounds in like 3 years. It’s likely that had something to do with it.

He might have even hit harder when he was older if you can believe that. Just look how his arms kept getting bigger as he aged. I think they were like 24" when he was around 42. Google "George Foreman arms" and look at the size of them. At the weigh-in when he would show the guns . . . holy shit. They were massive.

Foreman is such an anomaly because even for a 6'3 man his hands, forearms and skull are massive. Similar to Liston his proportions are insane.

I love both of them. But we all know what would happen to Ali in the rematch. Foreman just underestimated Ali's intelligence. He wouldn't let him hang around the ropes this time. There is a reason why boxers were running away from Foreman.
