“The chocolate is to make it go the distance, the beer is just for a slight buzz, and then the Coke’s just to mellow it all back out again” 🤣 Lachlan is the 👑! 🙌🏻
Mate, that will be a ride that goes into history for all the right reasons. The mountains you climbed where the greatest races in history went, are the roads Lachlan Morton rode to raise money for others. And yes, the sandals took it next level. Legend.
After skateboarding for so many years. Bike riding have given me a whole new meaning of enjoyment. Can’t help to get a bit of tear typing this. Hope to you meet you one day Lachy. The greatest representation in the cycling world
Absolutely brilliant, this young man just wants to make me ride, at 55 years young and returning back to cycling two years ago, from 16 stone to 11 and doing my first 100 mile ride, I bloody love it 👊
I hear you Chris and concur. Just turned 56 and have dropped 13 kilograms and got back to riding 1000km per month since the Tour finished. As an Australian I am so proud that our country can still produce such people. Chapeau to Lachy and to you.
After a couple of years it won't matter who won the GC, but Lachlan's effort will always be immediately recalled as the key highlight of 2021 TDF! Great job! 🤘
Lachy...thanks for being such an inspiration to so many of us. You inspired me to ride a 21 day, 1700 mile self supported adventure during the Tour. Your efforts at GBDuro inspired me to plan and execute this. I didn't realize you would be doing this amazing adventure at the same time until I was already on the road. Continue to inspire...
Well I didn't want that to finish. The film gave me a real sense of "behind the scenes" and involvement. The stopping at shops, setting up camp and bike buying was as enjoyable to watch as the stunning scenery. Always leave these films wanting and waiting for more. Chapeau Lachy
A bike movie about people being awesome in general. So inspired by LM. And everything he has done...he gets it...he gives back...he knows what brings out the good in humanity and in himself and he is following that road. I hope that he sees how many people really are touched by what he does. He is making a real difference in the world. A true force of good.
Loneliness challenge... that hit me in the feels. Lost my best friend recently so that hit home. Im glad you have people that care, and that you enjoy being around, to accompany you on your epic journey. I need more of that in my life. I think many of us could use a bit more of it.
We’ve been waiting patiently and honestly I haven’t been this excited in while! I know we know the results, but Rapha’s cinematography is so incredible that you get to witness something completely new. Always look forward to Rapha films, but this one is going to be great 🥳🚴🏽♀️
Lachlan. You are such a stud. A throwback. I loved your comment about being a racer better suited to the '30s. I've loved watching your epic rides and I'm glad your sponsors have given you the greenlight to take on such incredible challenges.
Lachlan Morton is the absolute epitome of a true cyclist. Beyond the peleton. Beyond the bikepackers. Beyond the trackies. HE IS CYCLING. Period. Full stop. Fantastic video, guys. Cheers.
The ability to transition to this crazy pedal setup blows my mind. The massive km’s and hours in the saddle, climbing... bonkers. Mentally and physically super human. 🙏
Love that they had to have a little interlude to say, "yes we have a film crew. Yes they give Lachlan some emotional support." Just so the haters wouldn't go nuts in the comments about how this isn't "real" self-supported.
He is so self aware and a true inspiration. What an amazing team to enable him to be who he is. Thanks for this film and Lachlan you truly made the tour special this year.
I have admired Lachlan for his epic rides. Being a cyclist myself to be a transparent rider is the best you can do. I am following Lachlan on Strava and I am one of his fans. Yes it is a tough to ride. And lots of people think it's easy but you and your bike, it's once in a while the best feeling in the world.
I just wish this documentary video was 2 hours long! I didn't want it to end. Amazing effort, amazing spirit, amazing production...thanks Lachy for being AMAZING!
To me, the human story to accomplish something on the edge of one's limit is more compelling than watching the peloton. Hopefully, Rapha can create more content like this,
How does this guy not inspire you? I watched that dot throughout the whole tour, cheering him on! I often checked his progress before the tour!!! I even donated a couple of bikes - great work Lachy!!
Words cannot justify what an inspiration Lach is. He's just the most free spirited soul on the planet doing great things. The world is a much better place with him cycling it.
Sweet! Human power without clutter and complexity. Less is more. Just breath and thoughts. It’s why we ride. Thank you Lachlan and thank you Rapha. Peace.
The most underrated sport activity in 2021 - it deserves more attention. @Lach: You havent inspired me to ride my bike but you and other guys like you are definitely the reason i keep on riding. Thank you Rapha for this awesome video.
100% of us are watching this & can vibe with the statement Lachlan makes at 29 minutes. Paraphrasing, "you could be talking to someone that's having a very normal day, and then you hang up and realize 'this is sick' but you start to realize that very soon you'll go back to being normal and just dreaming about doing something insane and difficult again."
Absolutely love this. Mega inspiring and reason why I keep exploring, sleeping in hedges and finding new views. Along with Lael Wilcox, icons of human spirit and endurance in a very humble way.
Thanks Rapha for another brilliant video. Well done Lachlan and I don't think given your achievements its too early to call you a Legend in the world of cycling.
Once again, absolutely amazing. Your honesty, and just you being you is incredibly motivating. You are an inspiration. You are changing lives. And you are making a difference. More kids need to see this side of sport. Again, keep doing what you're doing!!! Go Lachy!!!
I enjoyed watching Lachlan's dot this year far more than i enjoyed the actual race. The project was so much more inspiring on every level, so excited to see this film drop. Thank you Lachlan and the team behind it all.
“The chocolate is to make it go the distance, the beer is just for a slight buzz, and then the Coke’s just to mellow it all back out again” 🤣 Lachlan is the 👑! 🙌🏻
I was coming to the comments to write the same thing
@@quincybuickerood3070 great minds! 👍🏻 😜
I would think beer and pop would trade places. Pop gives me a buzz with the sugar!
Most do the coke to make distance and drink beer to fall asleep.
@@googlekonto2851 It would affect me that way!
All that with a saddle bag wagging like a dugs tail! Chapeau sir!
I’ve been watching day 6 section for a couple of days now. Like every 2 hours I open UA-cam and watch it and like wow, the editor deserves a raise.

Pro tour cycling is great to watch and all but this really knocks it off its pedestal 🙏
Once again Lachlan does what others would find impossible. A true inspiration.
These films are nothing short of freaking insane! Makes a change to what is normally out there!
Best moment for me.......riding up Mont Saxonez with Lachlan on the Le Grand Bornand stage. Super nice guy.
Lachlan is the best. Thank you Rapha for supporting this man's vision and this alt tour. This is what cycling needs more of!
This Is a great idea. An alt tour on dirt roads with long stages and self sufficient riders. Epic!
Love the dad part. Just freakin awesome. Everyone needs a supportive dad.
I really don’t care about competitive cycling, but I watched the dot every damn day. Thank you for being awesome.
Lachlan Morton. What an inspirational guy, EF racing is what all other teams should be aiming to be similar too. Peddle on man
After a couple of years it won't matter who won the GC, but Lachlan's effort will always be immediately recalled as the key highlight of 2021 TDF! Great job! 🤘
This guy. Inspirational as always Lachy. If this guy isn't your favourite bike rider then I dont know what to say
All Hail St. Morton, patron saint of long distance road rides, looking forward to this one.
The best BikePacking movie of 2021
When his dad showed up, all of a sudden my allergies kicked in and my eyes started tearing…
Yeah I suddenly had a few bits of grit in both my eyes.
somebody starting chopping onions at my house.
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
I rode with Lachlan! Crossed stage 9 finish with him. Such a cool genuine guy and love what he did for charity!
Ohhh cheeky final scene...looking forward to the next one already. Great work Lachy
this could of been 2 hours and i would of watched it all... what a legend
I was glad to see that you included the film crew and your relationship with them.
More excited about this than the tour itself 👌🏻
Lachlan with the chocolate beer coke buzz blend is legendary. Fuqqing love it, well done sir!
Lachy is such a laid back cool cat! Always a joy to watch and listen too!!
Lachy...thanks for being such an inspiration to so many of us. You inspired me to ride a 21 day, 1700 mile self supported adventure during the Tour. Every time I watch a video with Lachy I'm reminded what a breath of fresh air he is. Cycling needs more people with his attitude!

dude is the best of everything cycling has to offer me, anything more is unnecessary. anything less is unacceptable, Thanks Lachy!
Loneliness challenge... that hit me in the feels. Lost my best friend recently so that hit home. Im glad you have people that care, and that you enjoy being around, to accompany you on your epic journey. I need more of that in my life. I think many of us could use a bit more of it.
That made me well up a little bit when Lachlan was talking about his dad, then he showed up. What an experience! Beautiful 🙂
We’ve been waiting patiently and honestly I haven’t been this excited in while! I know we know the results, but Rapha’s cinematography is so incredible that you get to witness something completely new. Always look forward to Rapha films, but this one is going to be great 🥳🚴🏽♀️
My new hydration regiment: chocolate milk, beer, and coke. The perfect trifecta!
Lachlan. You are such a stud. A throwback. I loved your comment about being a racer better suited to the '30s. I've loved watching your epic rides and I'm glad your sponsors have given you the greenlight to take on such incredible challenges.
Lachy rules, he just adds so much to the sport and I think we can all take something from his positivity and attitude

Lachy is just too cool. I reckon a 100 mile ride with him would be the chillest and coolest time.
This dude is one of the coolest guys on the planet. Would love to have a beer with this guy.
Awesome Lachy! such an inspiration no doubt! Thanks!
"Sandals to Paris", simply awesome.
Literally I've been waiting for this since the Tour de France! It's going to be amazing!! Lachy you inspire all of us!!
He is so self aware and a true inspiration. What an amazing team to enable him to be who he is. Thanks for this film and Lachlan you truly made the tour special this year.

I teared when his dad surprised him. Wonderful relationships and meaningful tour. Thanks Lachlan and the team who made this possible.
To me, the human story to accomplish something on the edge of one's limit is more compelling than watching the peloton. Hopefully, Rapha can create more content like this,
So cool, it’s not always about winning races. What a cool experience thanks for sharing.
Hold my beer and chocolate milk! 😂 So good.
Cheers to a mega adventure Lachlan that is Impossible Route material

That moment when his dad appeared had me in tears. What a beautiful storyline. I aspire to be that type of dad, some day.
